I never got the impression that wading through cities smashing stuff randomly was Cthulhu'a gig. Lovecraft never really specifies what Cthulhu is capable of outside to confines of R'yleh -- assuming he can even leave, which I'm not sure of.

 

But yes, Godzilla vs Cthulhu would rock on innumerable levels.

Well, it would depend on exactly how big "planet-sized" is, I guess.

 

(for whatever reason, I always tend to scale down Unicron/Cybertron to more Death Star size than Earth sized.  Makes the movie, and his interaction with Megatron/Galvatron a little easier, not much, but a little)
