Tigra

Tigra is one of Marvel's cooler characters. This is a version of her that's based, somewhat, on the Marvel character.

Tigra's a mutant who can shift between a human form and a were-tiger form. In her human form, she's a highly skilled crime scene investigator in the campaign city. In her were-form, her characteristics and senses are in the superhuman range.

She is not a member of the local superhero team. Since the heroes have seen her only in human form, they probably don't know that she has metahuman abilities. In the upcoming Seacouver campaign, she would have both the skills of a scientist and a deputy sheriff.

Re: Tigra

Ok, I know she isn't supposed to be a direct port of the comics but...

The tail isn't fully prehensile, so it probably needs limited manipulation if it's even worth including as an extra limb at all.

Tigra had fangs as I recall.

You are missing the Figured characteristics from her OIHID stats.

Tigra had a unique fighting style that would probably best be represented by Martial Arts.

No Acrobatics? No Breakfall?

Don't know what your benchmarks are, but she doesn't do very much damage. Of course, she can't take very much either. And 42 Dex...but only a 5 SPD...

I'll make some changes, however Lindsay is just starting her career as a superhero, and, probably isn't a skilled fighter, yet.

Re: Tigra

Tigra's 5 foot three. (Her appearance as Lindsay is based on Anna Belknap, who plays Lindsay on CSI: New York.)

A possible presence attack is for her to change from Lindsay to Tigra in front of someone and lunge at them with claws extended and fangs showing.

Re: Tigra

Something that has been ignored pretty much from the time that it was introduced is that when Agatha Harkness gave Tigra the ability to look human, that's all it was; the ability to look human. So technically she shouldn't have ANY powers as OIHD (except for possibly senses due to the different shaped-eyes etc) because her Greer Nelson form is only an illusion anyway...

Plus, given that she kicked SO MUCH ASS in human form in the Tigra mini-series from a few years back, even if you do go the "two separate forms" route, her human stats should have STR, DEX and CON all in the 20's, plus some major martial arts skills...

(it's not like she's one of my favourite characters or anything....) ;)

Interesting stuff. I may adopt some of this for my version of Tigra.

Re: Tigra

I think she's one of the most badly written characters in the Avengers - she was an effective crimefighter even before she had her powers, so that in itself would indicate some combat levels at least if not actual martial arts......then with the upgrade she got in West Coast Avengers when she got her tail, she's physically pretty much on par with Spider-Man - yet, she always gets jobbed. Considering how much Marvel loves its teeth&claws animalistic types (see Wolverine, Sabretooth, Feral, Wolfsbane etc), it's surprising that Tigra never gets any respect...

Re: Tigra

As a criminialist I would give her more science skills. At least Chemistry & forensic medicine. Maybe even entamology.

Okay, I can do that. They'll probably be related to her main science, which is biology. However, I don't think forensic medicine would be right. That, if memory serves me correctly, refers to doing autopsies.

You also might want to increase the PD & ED a little. Unless I missed something' date=' the total PD & ED with armor comes out to around 10 or so.[/quote']

Will do.

I'm also giving her a few more skills that she acquired on the family farm.

As to Tigra. I like her' date=' as I don't know the campaign world I won't discuss her combat ability. Since she is a criminal investigator, I'd consider SS:Ballistics, perhaps Shadowing or Streetwise? I admit I'm not sure what a Criminalist is though.[/quote']

Done.

A criminalist is a crime scene investigator. Some are also police officers.

Re: Tigra

I'll be okay with Bendis' portrayal if somewhere down the line when this storyline wraps up, Greer takes handful out of the Hood and his gang using her abilities. She was ganged up on, had her family threatened and beaten up pretty decently. Payback should be definitive and final as to why you don't mess with an Avenger and more importantly, the Cat People's chosen warrior woman.

Re: Tigra

As Lindsay, Tigra drives an SUV provided the county crime lab. Like all agency vehicles, it has a two-way radio, flashing lights, siren, and other emergency gear as well as gear for evidence collecting.

Her transformation doesn't change her clothes. It merely transforms her from a normal human to a were-tiger.

I may change Lindsay's secret ID to a public ID. If so, the crime lab probably has samples of her fur and DNA as well as tooth and claw impressions and prints of her four paws. It's also possible that her SUV would be assigned a plate reading "TIGRA".
