Pariah
My three most overrated rock bands: U2 - Their early stuff is too angry and too political for my taste. Their later stuff is just bland. When it comes to finding a U2 song that I really like, I still haven't found what I'm looking for. INXS - Their music was okay, I guess, but it was so insidious that whenever I heard one of their songs I felt like I'd keep hearing it in my mind for the next two weeks. Admit it, you've got "Devil Inside" in your head now. Good luck with that. The Rolling Stones - Sorry, I just never cared for the Stones (except for Fred &Wilma). I know that there are people who think the Rolling Stones were as important, good, and/or influential as the Beatles, or even the Beach Boys. I think these people are misguided. Juilet Rosaline Daskazine Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2iBucFF0Pw Ita Janelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLw_NpFKeNY Suicide Sal Mona and the Preacher Georgia on my mind (yes Chisel covered it) enjoy! Special note: this is also the highest charting song about cannibalism, reaching #17 on the Top 40 charts in 1971. It was written by Rupert Holmes, who is better known for "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" 2. "Mrs Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel. 3. "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" by Jim Croce. Pariah
Three overrated rock bands: The Doors The Eagles CSN (and sometimes Y) I like much of the Eagles' stuff, and CSN(Y) is fine if I'm in the mood. But you're spot on with The Doors. That keyboard solo in "Light My Fire" (which sounds like the keyboard work in every other Doors song I've ever heard) goes on for way, way too long. Zen Archer
Three overrated rock bands: The Doors The Eagles CSN (and sometimes Y) It's not that I think CSNY are bad, just overrated. The music they made as a group by and large doesn't hit the heights they reached in their previous bands or even some of their solo records.
