clnicholsusa
I'm gonna need some kid cowboys (the fiend needs a target), so I'll just throw in the last two at once: Slim Honeycutt (Cowboy) Charlie Schwartz (Cowboy) Ironically, actor-wise Slim Honeycutt is Kwai Chang Caine's younger brother but only managed to play a mute companion for their father on Kung Fu. Also actor-wise, Charlie Schwartz holds the world record for jumping a bus over flaming motorcycles (he managed fifteen). Oh, and finding kid cowboys isn't difficult if you happen to be old enough. There were a lot of westerns made in the seventies.

It's literally easier to find a white cowboy who went native than it is to find a Native American protagonist in a Western.

st barbara
Fascinating thread. I'm surprised that no one has taken any of James Stewart's characters from the westerns he did for Anthony Mann ("Winchester '73", "Bend Of The River" etc). clnicholsusa
Option 1: The Grand High Witch is tired of being unknown and wants someone to tell her tale, mostly as she assumes it will frighten a few more children. With her bubbling cauldron, screaming carrots (how any MANdrake could scream like a girl and still call itself a MANdrake is beyond me), and tome of useful rituals she reaches across time and worlds to pluck a worthy scald for her epic. The smoke swirls from the mystic brew and condenses into a small, scaly figure. "What the bric-a-brac are you?" screeches the witch. "I be Deekin Scalesinger, writer of epic writings and singer of songs to die for, maybe. If you on adventure, I follow and write new book. Boss too busy with kids, they all grey." There's nothing like a good narrator to make a story great, and this is nothing like that. Old Man
