I just want something clarified: The Draysha package deal (VIPER:CotS, p.62) has an Aid to "all Characteristics except COM simultaneously". The descriptive text on p.63 says "This transformation lasts as long as the Aid to their Primary Characteristics remains in effect;..." Is the Aid only supposed to apply to the Primary Charactersitics? Even then, you have to say that (a max of) +24 to INT and PRE... wow!

Re: Powers that Cover a Base Here is a suggestion where someone will have to duck (me ): What about using Transform (Base without to base with power). As I understand it, any power that a base has affect everyone in it anyway. Just make sure that the transform only last as long as the spell lasts.

Re: Question on explosives If I was the GM, and I wanted to portray what would happen to a character that was *holding* the pipe bomb, I would convert the DCs to Killing Damage. And unless he had resistant defenses on his hands (natural or artificial), that damage goes right through all defenses. It would then be "dramatically" correct to call the character "Lefty".

Re: Backlash Attack The only limitation I could think of to add (apart from the Focus needed), is Extra Time (Full Phase). The character that uses this maneuver sort of has to set it up before being able to use it.

Myamoto Musashi, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Hatshepsut, John Gotti, Calamity Jane, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pytheas and Flavius Belisarius are amonst the better known people that the column has covered. The only one available as a sample is famous blues singer Robert Johnson. As for what can be found online, my search-fu probably isn't much better than yours.

Re: Backlash Attack I wonder if you use Succor on an attack that has already been unleashed. If so, I would have: Missile Deflection (Reflection) Succor to Demonic Blast, Trigger (Only to Blast that have been Reflected) I'm sure someone else will come along with something better.

Re: Talk about toxic Gas! My question would be: Can he ingest that much, even in it's gel form? If the canister is the size of a water-cooler tank, that is a lot of gel. Of course, I don't know how much there is, but if he can "consume" the whole thing, I think that is a GENIUS idea. And can he get at the VX without setting off the bomb. Those supervillains can be REALLY sneeaky.

Re: Running a riot? Well, I never used the word riot myself. I say the smallest "mob" that would develppe a group mentality would be around 10. Anyway, I threw that number of the top of my head . Use whatever number you want for the minimum that you think is appropriate. Basically I just wanted to put a number so that you could figure PRE of larger groups. And I too, would have said that a riot would be composed of more people.

I have had experiences in the past where I didn't apply a rule of mine which is "if a person makes you uncomfortable, for any reason, don't get in a situation where you won't be able to simply leave the room." If I was a player I probably would still play with him, because if he said something that I strongly disagreed with, I could simply get up and leave for a few minutes and calm down, without totally disrupting the game. As the GM, I feel I can't really do that.

Ohmygod! Guys, I want to say I am sorry. I am the GM whose game the person who started the thread is supposed to be joining. I am terribly sorry that I inflicted him on you, as I am the one that told him that this would be a good place to come and ask for help with building characters. He is a guys I just met (acquaintance of a friend), and I had no idea that he would ramble on so, or that he would be as rude as he has been to most of you. Some of this could have been headed-off by my simply stating what the standards for my campaign were before handing him a copy of Sidekick. But he isn't supposed to be joining the game for a month yet, so I was in no hurry to get his character finished. Little did I know, at the time, that he is one of those people that charges with his head down, and damn the consequences. Hindsight is 20/20, but man it can be painful when something comes into focus. Concidering some of the things he say about "his DM" in his few (but very lengthy) posts, I somehow doubt that he will be joining my game. Once again, I am SO sorry about all of this.
