Starlord got a reaction from bigbywolfe in DC Movies- if at first you don't succeed...
Casting for Wonder Woman
1. most beautiful face in world
2. Dolly Parton's breasts
3. MMA fighter Cris Cyborg's physique
4. Great acting skills
Candidates? Zero
Female Director: Right, just like I thought. So its back to tall girls who can act, please. Fanboys will nitpick her appearance no matter what.

Eh, an epic bad idea is a tv show based in Gotham City with no Batman but all his villains. I gave that 5 hours of my life so I'll still give this a shot. It seems fine to me.

Starlord got a reaction from wcw43921 in Jokes
I've given up social media for the New Year and am trying to make friends outside Facebook while applying the same principles. Every day, I walk down the street and tell passersby what I've eaten, how I feel, what I did the night before, and what I will do tomorrow. Then I give them pictures of my family, my dog, and me in my bathing suit. I also listen to their conversations and tell them I love them. And it works. I already have three people following me - two police officers and a psychiatrist.

Wouldn't the random order and sweet agony of an oxymoron thread be clearly confusing and amazingly awful?

Why would you insult a Cimmerian like that?

Kevin Feige updates on GOTG, Thanos, Spider-Man, Thor, and Black Panther. The Panther story sounds exactly like what I would want from his movie!

What an astonishing bit of melliflous gobbledygook.

Am I the only one who gave Greywind the benefit of the doubt here and assumed that, when he wrote hermit, he meant recluse?
Just like when everyone says "jealous" when they mean "envious"...

Starlord got a reaction from Christopher R Taylor in Supergirl
So Superman's storyline potential is nothing. The character has lasted 75 years thanks to the 'limited' potential of a feisty, investigative reporter who is also an on-and-off girlfriend.
I typed all that just so I could play it back in my head.
I'm not trying to be insulting...I'm just trying to comprehend the ability to actually think that while actually being a fan of the comic book genre. Please explain. For example, are you referring to the possibility that there just aren't any NEW interesting Superman stories to tell?

Ummm, they remade the movie "Point Break."
Never before has the question "Why" presented itself with such stark clarity in my mind.

Starlord got a reaction from bigbywolfe in The Flash
Well, I would think your GM would worry about whether or not Grodd was an effective villain for Flash. IMO, Grodd at his current point level is still an excellent rival for a VERY inexperienced Flash character.

Starlord got a reaction from pinecone in Supergirl
Well, don't get me wrong, I love a good debate that starts with "Wait, hold on, let's suppose a man CAN actually fly, now...." I guess as long as there is internal consistency, I'm good. For example, let's just say that later on in the series, we discover that Supergirl can't have sex with a normal human for fear of physical injury. This would be inconsistent because it has already been shown she has unbelievable control of even casual strength and nobody ever gets hurt when she saves them with super-speed. Why? I dunno. But I also dunno how she projects lasers from her eyes, breathes liquid nitrogen, and hides her identity with glasses. For that matter, how do those eye-lasers perfectly heat an entire turkey and not just punch a whole through it? For some reason though, as I'm watching or reading, my mind just handwaves all of it. *shrugs*

Starlord got a reaction from Lord Liaden in Supergirl
I enjoy genres of fantastic abilities and make-believe physics. Personally, I just can't pick and choose my suspension of disbelief. I just check the whole thing at the door. I highly doubt I've ever said this or that shouldn't be possible UNLESS it has already been established as so in a previously canonical story. That's just me though.
