  3. Re: Transhuman Space HERO? cool. thanks. Ill check it out.
  4. Just wanted to announce a THS game I want to run on HEROCentral. http://www.herocentral.net/campaignInformation.htm?campaignId=455880
  5. Re: Transhuman Space HERO I am currently trying to start a THS campaign over at HEROCentral http://www.herocentral.net/campaignInformation.htm?campaignId=455880 As far as conversions go, if you have the GURPS books, it is pretty easy to figure out how to "HERO" them.
  6. Re: Train, Train Gurps Old West has some maps of train cars. Dont know if these will be outdated for pulp use.
  7. Re: Pulp Hero, after looking it over this is an amazing book. glance through it briefly and was impressed with maps and art (too bad you dont have inked versions of the full page ones ) love the chronology and i love the fact that i can use it for other games set in that era (specifically 1920s Cthulhu), but now i can maybe do a more heroic (ala REH Mythos heroes v HPL's) with the Pulp System Anyone ever read "Skullface" by REH? I haven't run a non-superhero game using HERO yet, but i am excited to try, though im a bit confused about the rules on equipment and gadgets. do you pay for everything with character points like in a Champions game?
  8. Re: Babylon 5 Hero Arooo, Your sites are down.
  9. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age So do you think that the game will be geared more towards role-playing and peaceful resolution or Combat? Am really intrigued by Trogdor! I got the T-shirt too
  10. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age James, what was your prep time from deciding to run a game, reading through the books, to actually running? Do you think it was a quick start or did you have to mull over how/what/where to run your campaign? I've had FH and FHG. TA should be on the way. What about the magic? How does it compare to Steve Long's excellent Channelling system from Wheel of Time?
  11. Re: THE TURAKIAN AGE Reviewed On RPG.Net Haven't received my copy yet from an on-line gaming store, but I have been able to browse through a copy or two. What sold me was the maps! I love good cartography and I will now because of this book rank HERO/DOJ as #3 map-makers. 1. Columbia Games (publishers of Hârnworld) 2. Chaoisum (Cthulhu, Pendragon, Storimbringer) 3. HERO/DOJ!!!
  12. Re: Pulp Hero?? I would suggest Cthulu 1930s Sourcebooks and a recent adventure game called Dark Continent that has received good reviews.
  13. Sounds like a cool character. You wouldn't happen to have an .hdc for her, would you?
  14. This came up in game: Someone was shot with an AP Killing Attack. The GM halfed his rPD and did BODY as usual, but then he declared that the STUN damage (Killing Damage x STUN multiplier) was also cut in half. The player began to argue. Who is correct?
  15. Admittedly, I pick up a new setting book because the Maps draw me. For example, as much as I enjoy Monte Cook's work, the maps from Arcana Unearthed do not motivate me enough to buy the book. On the other hand, I will always buy a Hârn product for the maps alone! 1)Maps need to be good and not just world maps, but regional or city/village maps as well. 2)Climate. I'm not saying weather tables, but a general idea of seasons and precipatation for various regions. 3)Tie-ins with other genres since we have the Hero Universe history 4)Economics. Especially the influence of magic on economics 5)If there are alot of sentient races...where did they come from and where did they go. I've always disliked "the intelligent race around every mountain" paradigm in most fantasy games. It just doesn't make sense, IMO. 6)History and Politics, with lots of adventure seeds. If the PCs are to be movers and shakers in the world, there needs to be an avenue to explore how the players will do this. Saying this, a timeline is super handy. I think that's all that I can think of for now.
  16. Re: What to do? It is called Kingdom Come . I own it and wanted originally to run a Champions game in that universe until I got hooked on the official CU.
  17. I'm sure that Psi will make its attempts. Maybe some others.
  18. I like both your ideas. Especially the one that I quoted. Actually, my players are looking forward to the bringing in and prosecution of one of their teammates. I actually think that they want things to go to trial.
  19. Some heroes in the group are sanctioned. Some are not. I think the hero that killed Soulfire is not. I think that the higher ups of the sanctioned heroes are going to ask that they bring their comrade in.
  20. Yup! Two of the team-members have contacts with PRIMUS. They may even help PRIMUS.
  21. I think a couple of his teammates will try and bring him in. Another superteam...the team has a good relationship with the Champions and PRIMUS. Their base has a containment cell. Then in the CU there's Stronghold.
  22. Re: Re: How to Prosecute? The way he reacted in game..shock and horror at the devastation that he had just wrought...makes me think that he will not do this again. I'm wondering if the defense of "I didn't know he was that weak?" will stand up in court. Definitely, fleeing from the scene of the crime makes things worse. Unforutnatley, he was the last one standing in the area. The speedster had been compelled to run across the Atlantic, two teammembers were down, and the last had just teleported one of the downed members to safety (plus she's from another dimension). Haven't gotten that far in the story hour (this happens in issue # 14)/
