Re: Places to Fight Inside the back of a paddywagon going at high speed with the back door open In a space station built for aliens who are 4' tall In a lab with loads of radioactive/toxic/acid/etc material- both to use as weapons and avoid During an outdoor wedding, when you want the wedding to go off without a hitch For those without flight/etc, in an elevator or mine shaft, or a bell tower For that matter, on a skyscraper, either on top or hanging from the side Subway tunnels during rush hour
  2. Re: Powers to make life better Shape Change: Smell/Taste Group, Extra Time (20 minutes) OAF Immobile (Shower), Useable as an Attack
  3. Re: [Character] Paragon I'm not sure if you ought to make him a random draw though. I wouldn't want this guy in the hands of the weakest RPer at the table. Which in turn indicates to me that there is more work to be done to marry his powers to his backstory. Power analysis: This guy sems boring until you remember that with 50 strength, there is a heck of a lot of things you can do, like tear armored cars in half and throw small buildings. CV 6+2 seems really good, with something better than a 50-50 shot at hitting the other guy's brick. 20 PD/ED (and only 10 resistant) means that this isn't Superman, that you have to be careful. Have you considered adding a Missile Deflection (I ignore your puny bullets and shrapnel!) so that he can bounce high-caliber weaponry? As it is, he will take BODY from a good shot from an SMG and any bad guy with an HKA on even an average roll. It would make a good slot in the multipower, but you'd have to call it super-strength tricks or something. 50 strength with a top OCV of 8 makes him a monster in H2H. I think he will be fine as long as there is a good compelling backstory and personality.
  4. Re: [Character] Goblin I love it. Very good Green Goblin homage. I don't like the INT of 28 though, it seems too high. He would be curing cancer and inventing cold fusion coffeemakers or something. You could conceivably make him INT 18 with three levels in Demolitions, Electronics and Mechanics (16-) and save a point, effectively losing two points off your PER rolls. Even though his other Intellect skills drop to 13-, none of them are super-critical.

    Tar

Re: Tar I actually quite like the susceptabililty. I don't see why you couldn't make it like a loss culnerability to all tar abilities. There ought to be something between a susc and a dependence, that can simulate how Superman loses his powers near Kryptonite, you know? Anyway. I think tar is a fine name. I like the power set, except I'm not sure about the Regen. Is this the suit repairing itself, or is it healing the pilot?

    Mongoose

    Re: Mongoose taser
  7. Re: [character] Aegis Does the shield provied him with the life support? And if it does, what's the rationale there? btw solid low-powered shield, with all the abilities it ought to have without getting too exotic. other slots if you are so inclined could be force wall, armor useable simultaneously by two in one hex, and sight flash defense. I'm not keen myself on a HKA based upon the shield's edge, but there is nothing wrong with it per se. Of course as usual your builds are superb.
  8. Re: Your PCs might be Underpowered if... Greatest. Comedy Villain. Ever. I have a professor in comparative global politics who sounds, I kid you not, precisely like Dr. Doofenshmirtz. I have to leave my sense of humor at home in order to listen to his lectures.
  9. Re: Campaigns bases off alternate sources. You know, the last time I had a chance to play an extended supers campaign, the tone was silver age Avengers, but we didn't really live in a world based on any particular pre-established mythos. And I never really thought abuot it, either. If we were influenced, as a table, by anything, it was Madman and The Flaming Carrot... but adventures could range from silly to dead serious, as could the characters. And it just kind of worked.
  10. Re: Help with a power Robust build! I am very impressed, and will be adjusting the character sheet accordingly!
  11. Re: The Butler Distinctive Features: eyepatch plus Phys Lim: No depth perception --- Phys Lim: Some rare disease, possibly incurable, requires special medical care (fodder for the Science Hero) --- Hunted: Enemies of the superteam (mildly punish- often taken hostage or smacked around) 8-
  12. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I like that maniac. But yes, he needs to look a little more earnest, or a little more crazy.
  13. Re: A snake tail instead of legs Agree with Vulcan. Depends upon what you want the tail to do in the end.
  14. Re: Stun Maximum That's an amazing list, GA. You're the man as usual.
  15. Re: in the spirit of christmas! The Comedian's badge: the singular smiley face from Watchmen
  16. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine hey! that's not bad at all! His chest device is a sihouette of a bird's head in gray on a yellow circle. the bird's neck is between about 2 o'clock and six o'clock, and it's head is tilted downward slightly. With some practice, you can draw the circle and the silhouette with one stroke. and then put in the yellow eye with a second. Or at least that's the idea.
  17. Re: in the spirit of christmas! Smiley face for the win
  18. Re: Artificial Intelligence Build I agree with a couple of exceptions. But make sure to start with the most expensive build. Also, I would suggest it's a Multiform if only one form can be "active" at a time- for instance, if the base AI has to shut down if a robot is active. As a Duplication power, sounds sort of like Machinesmith, except Machinesmith could rattle around inside someone's head, too, in certain circumstances.
  19. Re: Thor's Hammer, Mjöllnir Red Hulk may somehow be "worthy"? LOL I can't imagine.
  20. Re: Vehicle - Stilt Suit I've been following with great interest. This suit construct, it still seems more like an OIF than a vehicle. But however you build it, it is an excellent and well-realized idea. Good job working through the kinks.
  21. Re: Help with a power I ended up building it as a rubber-band 'port strike, just using the teleportation as the special effect of Indirect. To that effect, I limited the range of the attack to half the maximum combat movement of the character's most common teleportation power (remember, there are a couple in his MP), to simulate moving, attacking, and moving back. Of course it's not perfect since the whole attack is a half-move and can be done after a half-teleport... but it is close enough.
  22. Re: Ps3? I would love if it hit PS3 since I have one, but I wouldn't count on it.
  23. Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I love the quotation, and the baton is a nice build. With apologies to wcw, he's leaving me a little flat. But I'm not grousing. Better than I can do!
  24. Re: A snake tail instead of legs Small Phys Lim, large Distinctive Feature, and while a Social Lim would have made sense for this fellow, I left it off. Simply don't see it coming into play since he's just high-powered cannon fodder. If he was to appear in a campaign analog to a limited series focusing on the villain team he is a part of, then I'd probably stat the Social Lim.
