  4. Re: Question about Star Hero and 6th edition I think the biggest reworking would be redoing any Package Deals, and then only if they gave various Characteristic modifications. Oh, and calling them "Templates" now.
  5. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Sorry... NDA! All I can say is that #3 deals with American Folkloric (Super) Heroes.

  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Session Three of Unknown Armies In Which Tony "Bender" Benedetti has brought Frank Sinatra back from the dead. The GM describes an NPC as "Ving Rhames in a purple dress." There's a moment's pause as we all try to not claw our eyes out. Using the same technique the got him the name "Sam Tsung" (i.e. Samsung), Mike looks around Bob's apartment and comes up with a new moniker: "Epson Tide" (or Tide Epson"). Bender: "Someone else, who ain't Frank, is walking around in the Chairman of the Board's body." OOC comment: "You don't have a PIN number [for a stolen ATM card]." Sam Tsung (OOC): "Considering everything else I've seen Bender do, that doesn't strike me as much of a problem." Sam Tsung (OOC): "Bender is played by Foster Brooks." Bender: "I'm right and you're Sam. Paulie? Drive!" Bender: "I think I'm going to be dead." Paulie: "He could be a hooker and blow-mancer." Bender sees what Frank is up to: "Oh, Frank! Gross!" Greg (Paulie's player) to Mike (Sam's player): "I wish you came with subtitles." (This was brought on when Mike made some comments about Liver-Eating Johnson, who Greg had never head of.) "We unleash the Bender." Bender: "I point at Frank Sinatra and say 'You, get in the bottle'."

  11. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Page number? We checked the manuscript multiple times with multiple people. Still... mistakes happen.
  12. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition I have an idea for a K5 scenario, in which the PCs must deliver a young, injured esper weapon to a certain location for rescue. Complications include this being the Zone during Jinsei's invention. So you get firefights in the streets, general mayhem, and Jinsei's Wolf Brigade trying to gun-down everything they see. Not to mention anti-esper units and cyberdroids. Basically 4 hours of mayhem. Whaddya thing, sirs?

  14. Re: Sample Convention Character Sheet Hmm... I'll have to think about that.

  16. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Bill, Perhaps we need to offer rep for reviews? You and I together can hit someone for 702,476 worth.
  17. Re: Worst Hero Names (of your campaigns) On the flip side of "worst" names, I had a mercenary supervillain named "Donald Brook." I got the idea from the Heroes in Hell books.
  18. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition You need to poke GA now that he has a copy.
  19. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Recently I was sent a list of one-line plot seeds that could be used in any horror/supernatural/occult game. The following are based off of that list: 1) On certain nights the building super locks himself in his room and spends the night praying. He tries to ignore the sounds outside his door and never questions the missing guests the next morning. 2) You enter the hotel's lobby/ballroom/dining room/bar and notice it takes about a half-second for everyone in the room to start moving. 3) You see blood fall onto the carpet. You look up. There is nothing on the ceiling. Examining the drops, you notice that they are still falling. But they are falling from a spot about chest high in the middle of the room...from thin air. 4) Your reflection in the mirror in the morning, while you brush your teeth, does things slightly different. You brush up, it brushes down. 5) The lights in your hallway begin to flicker. When the light is on, you see nothing. But each time it goes out, you can make out the silhouette of a figure. Each time the light goes off, it gets closer. 6) In the hotel basement there is a door with a large padlock and lengths of chain securing it. If you listen, you can hear faint moans. 7) Every time you blink, something in your room/the hotel lobby/other hotel space moves. 8) It's happening again. Just like last week, but this occurrence seems a lot worse. What will happen if it gets out?
  20. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares You would be correct sir.
  21. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Before. Otherwise head hits would wreck cyber every time and arm/leg hit never would.
  22. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition I can send you some 6E export formats. I'd really like to see some nice tab-only (no extra formatting) HD exports for 6E. Does anyone know how to properly build those files?
  23. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition I also want to convert all of the HD files over to 6E and may ask around for assistance with the project. Yes, BTW, everything that has game stats in the book is in a HD file. However, right now it's all 5E.
