Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... I like the Honorverse books. I think it's more Moderate good vs Extremist bad. The Star Kingdom is very Socially Liberal and the Conservative Party are portrayed as the antagonist.

Re: Space Currencies I also recommend the Resource Point system. I use it for all my "Heroic" level campaigns. If you need a monetary cost for a plot reason use real world prices just convert them from dollars to credits.

Re: Animal companions - reducing the cost I use the Resource Point System for Followers. I could see using Side Effects( Reputation/Distinctive Feature and Social Comps.) as a Limitation on the Follower cost.
