  8. Re: A Thread For Random Links People lie about their age for different reasons, but this one has to take the cake. Sometimes, life imitates art, but seriously?!
  9. Re: A Thread for Random Videos What cartoon was this from? I used to have an animated gif of the laughing king, but I never found out where it originally came from.

  11. Re: The cranky thread I went to Lake Merced today. It's a place I used to go to years ago when I wanted solitude, and I have lots of fond memories of that place. Now the area where I spent several quiet afternoons relaxing has turned into a dump. Litter is everywhere. The city has pruned the trees, but hasn't cleared out the branches. I even spotted a deserted homeless camp. This makes me sad.
  12. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore One thing I miss living in the Philippines is that you can get fresh fish easily. It's strange that it's hard to get it in San Francisco considering it's a coastal city.

  18. Re: Swords and Sorcery Setting The Elric of Melnibone series is also a good sword & sorcery resource.
  19. Re: The cranky thread I'm supposed to have a performance review soon. I'm supposed to schedule it, but I've been putting it off. Why? Because I've been trying to get in a more diplomatic mood, but it's just not happening. I've been running the scenario in my head over and over again, and I just don't see it ending well. Edit: Maybe I'm being unfair. It may not be all that bad, and I've been pretty paranoid lately. Still, I've gotten the short end of the stick quite often, and I do plan to talk about all my grievances during the meeting.

    Sliders

Re: Sliders Or androids rule humans, but humans have started a resistance, and both sides are planning to send a warrior to the past to change history. That is a novel concept, right?
