  1. Summoning pre-generated critters only... The best is on page 69: The Giant Crab. 174 points. Awesome armor class: 10 PD/6 ED. 3D6 killing attack. Yeah you need to buy 5 points Mindlink to give it orders, but this is worth every character point! Point for point, its the best summoned critter there is. Now i haven't yet read memorized all of the Beastiary...so flame away in an entertaining manner. But I think this is the single best so far.
  2. Re: Creating items with magic Panpiper, we're not talking about magic items, but mundane items. Like Kraven said, this is for creating ladders, not rings of invisibility. In the 6E book, this is discussed under Major transform, creating something from nothing. Food is created this way. Clothing, any sort of mundane item.
  3. Re: Dante Morninglord. a conversion in the works. I never picked up DnD 4.0, so I have no idea how they work eldritch blast with the new rules. In 3.5 it was weaker than standard magic attacks, but eldritch damage was just not resisted. I think a BODY drain might fit the bill, BUT the Hero System does not have walking piles of hit points that DnD has. Dante might be unballancing... How about higher diced NND attack (vs Power defense) that does body? With a 1/2 variable advantage, for minor effects like area, Affects desolid, armor piercing for pesky mages and the like. would that make more sense? another thing, Dante can wear armor, but he would have access to a school like witchcraft. He can do a few other things like fly with wings, go desolid, vampiric touch, summon the dead, typical scary stuff, even though he was a good guy. Basically Dante has access to only ONE school...I think I would have to create that school from scratch I'm reading Fantasy hero...how do you buy arcane power and armor? and how do you fire into melee without hitting fellow players?
  4. This is one of my favorite characters from 3.5 DnD. I had an absolute blast playing this guy. --The story below is the fault of the DM. He said we need to write backgrounds with plot hooks for him to use. No Conan origins allowed. Now I've cut my teeth with a few characters, I want to try converting this one... Karrnath had suffered terrible losses, and now Thrane and Cyre were hammering at the gates. Gaol Morninglord was concerned, A minor noble in the service of Kaius I, Gaol stood to loose everything. Now Gaol was a man of ambitions, greater than his holdings would allow. This was...unfortunate. Gaol made plans to betray the king, but something happened. Undead armies arose and defeated the enemies of Kaius. The king announced he had made an alliance with the Blood of Vol, a mysterious cult. Temples began to appear in the major cities. This was an opportunity Gaol could not pass up. The entire Morninglord household joined the cult. Gaol changed his name to Shdatonmeyer ("Master of Shadows" in the old toungue), and reworked his device to a black bat on a red field. The Blood of Vol also saw an opportunity in Gaol. His naked ambition and lust for power would be useful. Lord Gaol partook in foul pacts, and bargains of power. In so doing, he tainted the bloodline of his family forever. Evil would be a mark of the "House of Shadow" as the Shdatonmeyer manor became known. Years passed. Gaol increased his lands and holding. He was powerful now, just as Vol promised. The House of Shadow produced many Necromancers, Hexblades, and Warlocks. Gaol himself was a warlock. In a time of war the evil of Gaol went unnoticed . Then the king disappeared. For the next 80 years Gaol ruled his lands, ever growing in power, and yet never aging. With Kaius the 3rd, The Blood of Vol was purged from Karrnath. Gaol fought against the king and was destroyed. His lands were taken, his fortress destroyed, and Gaol the powerful was staked through the heart. His surviving family surrendered, and swore fealty to Kaius III. Once again, they were minor nobles, with little land. But the legacy of Gaol and the House of Shadow did not fade... THE SON OF SHADOW Mikhail Shdatonmeyer, was the third son of Caleb, the Lord of Shadow. Both his brothers were Hexblades. His sister was a necromancer in the service of Kaius III. When the eldrich energies danced about Mikhail's fingers, the family was overjoyed. Mikhail was taken to the secret family shrine, and introduced to the cult of Vol, still worshiped and protected By the House of Shadow. Mikhail grew up steeped in evil. He learned dark things only whispered in the world of light. Blasphemies and dark secrets were taught to Mikhail. He witnessed human sacrifice. All this was presented as normal to him. Mikhail was falling into evil. On his 15th birthday, a senior cleric came to visit the House of Shadow. There was a great celebration. The Vol priest took a liking to young Mikhail. He taught the boy a terrible secret of murder: Mortalbane. Mikhail was addicted to power, and eagerly performed the blood ritual. He was then told to go out into the world, and not return until he had the blood of an innocent upon his hands. The boy set out. He took nothing with him, Murder would give him everything he needed. Mikhail marched over open country, he planned to kill on the lands of a hated rival. Screams broke out in the trees ahead. Children's screams. Mikhail surged forward. An ogre threatened a pair of children, it had already killed their dog. He felt raw energies surge and swirl in his arms. Without thinking, Mikhail shot the beast with a blast of eldritch power. The ogre turned, laughed and swung it's maul. The maul smashed into the ground, barely missing Mikhail, throwing him off his feet. Again, he launched a bolt of eldritch energy at the ogre, and again it was laughed off. Mikhail was spending more time desperately dodging the maul than attacking. He realized he was going to die. Mikhail uttered the dark words of murder. He blasted the beast, this time it staggered. It appeared shocked. Another deadly blast, and the ogre dropped it's maul. It started to retreat. Mikhail sneered in triumph, he didn't even say the words this time, but the murderous power burst forth. The ogre fell. Ignoring the children, Mikhail turned the body over. It's face was frozen in a look of horror. Surprised, he laughed, cut the purse free, and tossed it to the children. The purse fell at their feet. They stared at him, and ran away. Cursing their ingratitude, Mikhail stomped over to the purse. "Ignorant peasants,' he thought. "I saved their miserable lives!" He stopped. The children were...innocents. Was he supposed to kill...THEM? But he didn't want to kill. Not children. Here alone in the forest, where no one could see, 15 year old Mikhail wept. He didn't know what to do. LIES AND BETRAYAL He returned to the manor house with blood on his hands. The priest had left, much to Mikhail's relief. His father, Lord Caleb declared a feast: Mikhail had come of age. The boy did not enjoy his celebration, he seemed sullen, withdrawn. Caleb was not concerned, his son had crossed a threshold today, Mikhail deserved some peace. A threshold had been crossed. Mikhail had lied to them all. The blood on his hand was the ogre's. He looked at his family through new eyes. For the first time he saw the shallow, selfish nature of evil. How was he different from the ogre? The children saw no difference between himself and a monster. In the months that followed, Mikhail lived a lie. Paying lip service to Vol, he tried to skip ceremonies when he could. He made excuses and wandered for days at a time. He even grew so bold as to make secret contacts with priests of the Sovereign Host. A whole new way of life was out there. Most people did not kill, or plot against enemies. Most people lived and loved in peace. There was a tranquility of life here that he longed to participate in. Mikhail was not yet 16, but he knew he would have to leave. He would be killed if his family knew what he was doing. It was midsummer when the priest of Vol returned. There was no celebration, no feast this time. Caleb's face looked grim as the two men shook hands. Mikhail wondered, had he been found out? His brothers were called to a secret meeting, but not Mikhail. Sneaking up to the main hall, he slipped past the guards, and listened through an alcove. A plot was underway. An assassination...a small armed force was to be gathered secretly on the grounds. But who was the target? The meeting broke up before he could find out. Over the next few days, dangerous men started to arrive at the manor one or two at a time. One night, two women arrived. Both were beautiful, and sensuous. Tania was older, 30ish, her eyes lit with a mischievous glint. Tania always seemed about to laugh. Katrina was Mikhail's age. She was petite, blonde, almost shy. Mikhail found it hard not to stare. Tania and Katrina attended dinner, but did not eat. Caleb gave Mikhail a gift. It was the holy symbol of Vol, Queen of the Dead. It was heavy and oppressive. Caleb clapped his son on the shoulder, "My son. We have been chosen. In a few days, you and I will undergo the Sacrament of Blood. I'm so proud of you." Mikhail concealed his emotions. He was frightened. He had no idea what the Sacrament of Blood was, but he was not going to find out. "You have no idea what a privilege it is." Tania purred. "To fly, to run with wolves... Yes, it hurts a bit at first, but the pain is trivial compared to power you gain! Just think. For a few days, you sleep. When you awake, Kaius will be dead, Vol will be supreme, and you, Mikhail will be young forever!" Mikhail tried not to start. Kaius was the target? Katrina smiled. Her blue eyes blinked. "I expected a tedious job. But I think we both will enjoy this, Mikhail." She pressed against him, warm and inviting. "Tomorrow night, the eve of the New Moon." She whispered in his ear. Mikhail excused himself, and left. Caleb laughed. "Tonight, my son is shy!" Mikhail's brothers lost no time in introducing themselves to the ladies. It would be a merry night in the House of Shadow. Mikhail was in a panic. The night was young, and he dared not leave while it was still dark. Or rather, he thought, would this be the perfect time? Everyone seemed to be occupied, music could still be heard from the great hall... He filled a small pack and snuck towards the stables. The horses were agitated. Something smelled wrong. Mikhail had smelled this before. Blood. He looked into the last stall. There was the stable boy, his throat was torn out. Blood pooled on the floor, it coated the walls, soaked into the straw. Tania was on her hands and knees lapping up the blood like a cat. She looked up, and smiled. "Don't be shocked, Mikhail." She stood up, her dress was ruined, the blood made it cling to her body. "I grew up in the church of Vol." he sneered. "There is little that would shock me, anymore." "What are you doing here?" "I need air, I need to ride." "I need to inform your father. You're very important to us, Mikhail. Katrina would be so disappointed if something happened to you... in the night." "Aren't you busy?" Mikhail felt energy build up in his arm. "Mikhail. Events are underway that are more important, than just a joyride. And do you need a backpack to get air?" Tania stepped close. "Whats in the pack, Mikhail?" "Let me show you." He pulled out a silver symbol on a chain, and presented it forcefully to her. Tania recoiled with a shriek to the wall. "Its a symbol of the Sovereign Host. I worship the Host, NOT Vol!" He loosed the energy so long built up inside him. She cursed, she threatened, she wailed. But Mikhail fired blast after blast. She climbed up the wall to the ceiling, But he didn't stop . Tania dropped to the wooden floor, and snarled like a wolf. "You can't kill me Mikhail, but I can make you suffer for..." She dispersed into a bloody mist. He stood there. The music still played. She would take hours to reform. Mikhail took his fathers war-horse. Tossing a lantern into the straw, he rode out into the night. THE BEGINNING. Mikhail spent a week under house arrest. His 16th birthday passed unmarked during this time. At least they brought him good food and books. Mikhail rode his father's horse to death. He made it to the castle, and spoke to the guards. His story circulated through the levels while he waited outside for hours. He was summoned that very night before the king. Mikhail never thought he would really get to meet King Kaius the third. The last he had heard, the king ordered his knights assembled. And then the king ordered him into house arrest. He said not to worry, but with Vol, treachery was his greatest enemy. He wanted Mikhail where he could find him. Mikhail ate meals from the kings own table. And ministers did bring him news. An army was found at the House of Shadow, and defeated. His father was killed in the action. (Mikhail did not weep) His brothers surrendered and claimed to be ignorant of the plot, swearing fealty anew, the King passed Shdatonmeyer lands into his oldest brother's hand, now Lord Godfrey of Shadow. The women Mikhail mentioned were never found, but servants confirmed his story. His brother, Lord Godfrey disowned Mikhail as his first official act. The King summoned Mikhail before him on the 8th night. Kaius apologized for any discomfort and advised Mikhail he was free. "You have done me a great service, Mikhail. And I have been a poor host. It is time I did something for you. Your bravery has cost you your name. I will now return to you your true name. Arise Lord Dante Morningstar. I name you after your great grandfather, he was a good and loyal man." The king then gave Mikhail a ring. "This is the signet ring of your family before they turned to Shadow. Wear it well, Dante." Mkhail was never prouder than the moment he put on his ring. "Thank you" He stammered. The king clapped his shoulder. "I can protect you here in my capitol. But I'm afraid it will be death if you ever return to your family lands. I wonder, Dante Morninglord, would you be willing to serve me in another fashion?" "Yes, my king!" Mikhail was overjoyed at this. "I want you to travel to my embassy in Sharn. Work there for a few months, get to know the city." Mikhail smiled. "But then I want you to leave the embassy. Hook up with...'Adventurers.' Go with them, learn to use you inborn talents. With such useful friends you will fine tune your abilities, and learn to wield them in unexpected ways." The smile disappeared. This was...different. "Whenever you travel to a city with my embassy there, I want you to report in. Your ring will be recognized. Tell my councilors, what you have done, and what you can do. The day will come when I contact you again. Serve me well, and I shall find other things to return to you. Will you do this for me, Dante?" Mikhail bowed, "Yes. I am proud to serve. I will be worthy of you, my king." "I know you will." Kaius clapped his hands. A servant appeared "See that Lord Dante has what he needs." ITS NOT THE END Godfrey cursed and spat. His brother Hector, and his sister Patrina joined him in the Family crypt. They had just laid Lord Caleb to rest, he never underwent the Sacrament of Blood. "What have you learned, Patrina?" Godfrey challenged. "He is still here, but hidden." Patrina smiled, and pressed a stone carving. A section of the wall slid aside with an ancient grinding protest. A dark passage stretched forth. She tapped her staff, and its tip burst into flame. She led the way. A massive stone sarcophagus lay at the end of the passage. Obscene runes were carved in its surface. "Dear Hector. The lid please." Hector pushed the massive lid, muscles bulging beneath his robes. It fell on the other side, breaking in two. A body lay inside, the bones covered with leathery skin. A stake still stood where it's heart would be. Patrina nodded, and Hector pulled the stake free. "And now brothers, we watch." Hector leaned forward. For long moments, all was still. When it happened, it was too fast to stop. The body launched itself at Hector, it's teeth ripping at his neck. Hector flailed, but even his strength was not enough. Godfrey shrank against the stone wall. Patrina smiled, and held her place. In moments the lifeless body of Hector was tossed aside. "He's dead!" Godfrey gasped. "Only for a little while." Patrina soothed. Standing in the sarcophagus was a tall man, with black hair just beginning to grey. He had a feral look in his eye. Patrina broke the silence. "Lord Gaol, we are your kin. Welcome back to the House of Shadow."

Background/History Milo is a Halfling. He’s not a barefoot Tolkien Halfling. He wears boots, thank you very much. Yes, he lives in a hole in a hill with a round door, but he’s never heard of a Hobbit or a Hin. Just as many Halflings live in the big city as in the countryside. The whole Halfling thief thing is just a myth, most Halfling are trustworthy folk…like Milo He’s a cleric. Milo’s story started in his teens. He grew up on a farm, stood to inherit a prize piece of land, and had a great girl who just agreed to become his wife. è And that’s when strange events changed his life forever. Local livestock began to disappear. Skeletons walked the fields at night. And then his girl ran off with a gnomish necromancer. Milo would not stand for this, and joined the nearest temple (belonging to Lithira, deity of agriculture and harvest). After learning a few spells, Milo charged out after the dread menace. He found not a single necromancer but an entire cult that worshiped undeath: a hidden temple to Vanabak Knowing he had little hope to take them on his own, Milo sought out the local Lord (a human paladin, by the way), who lead his men against this temple of evil. In the battle, Milo met and killed the gnome…who just happens to be the son of a high priest with the cult. A blood feud has been declared against Milo. There was no sign of the girl. Heartbroken, Milo bid farewell to his parents and began a wandering adventurer’s life. He can’t take a parish for fear that the cult will send an army of the dead and hurt those under his care. So he was given the title of friar and set lose to help those in most need. Milo’s superiors have granted him a lot of freedom. Currently he is the only adventuring cleric the Harvest deity has. As such, Milo is bringing a lot of attention to Lithira, and has been granted the Right of Shelter at any Lithira temple. Personality/Motivation: Milo does enjoy helping famers. Between adventures he will sneak out and bless fields, charging nothing more than a hot meal or a soft bed for the night. He loves to find a poor area and surprise the locals with a tree bursting with fruits and vegetables of every type, ready to be picked. As an adventurer, Milo does his best to support the party. For some reason, most expect him to be a thief. But he is forgiven when he starts bringing in armloads of food every night. Quote : Powers/Tactics : He prefers to open with an entangle, as it take no damage from attacks. When it comes to evil, Milo has little mercy. Smite and be done with it, that’s his philosophy. Campaign use : If the players own a farm Milo may want to bless it. He considers such acts more a part of his purpose than mere adventuring. Appearance : Milo is a Halfling. 6. Re: 6E Turakian Age Characters Sunday a Halfling Cleric.
  7. Here is you chance to set down in stone a collection of Turakian age characters. I know its official, and a lot of people like their own realms, but this is meant as a chance to present characters for review and comment and test to see how adaptable you are. 6E is preferred, but 5E is welcome too. Frankly, This ought to be a good resource for NPCs and hunteds. Post em if you got em... Sol Thraxis II Background/History Sol Thraxis was born in the Westerlands near the borders of Elvenhome. He stood out as a child by excelling in his letters. When the other children would run out and play, young Sol would curl up with a book discovering that whole worlds lay beyond the village and the fields. As a teen, Sol would seek out the elves who came to trade, learning their language. In the summer he would disappear for days on end, causing the villagers to whisper that he was conversing with fey things in the wood. He was. The real revelation came when bandits stormed into town. Sol stood up before them and with a word and a gesture, a bandit fell soundlessly to the ground. Arrows bounced harmlessly off Sol, and with a gesture another bandit collapsed. Elves arrived and drove the bandits away. They were amazed to learn Sol could perform magic, and he did so speaking elvish. Just by observing an elf wizard, Sol had learned to cast the spells “Wizard’s Shield” and “Stunning Dart.” “A boy this talented needs to attend the University.” The elven captain said. The villagers agreed, and they sent young Sol to the city and the University Arcane. Sol’s powers of observation have earned him trouble as well. One of his early adventures brought him to a village that lay within a mile of an Ulroni Camp. Out of boredom, Sol spied on the barbarians using Circe’. He was surprised to see warriors casting magic, so he began to take notes. And thus the first and only book of Ulroni War Magic was created. A warrior dreamt of the crime and sought out the young mage. But the boy was ready and slew the barbarian. Sol took a silver ring that bound his hair as a token of the battle. The spirit of the warrior warned the priest that a mage had committed a heinous offense and took his “salashyr,” itself a crime worthy of death. The priest ignorant of the true crime, led the tribe in a blood oath to hunt down this infidel. One by one, young warriors are sent out to kill the mage and return the “salashyrs.” Sol now owns four of them. If the tribe finds out about Sol’s use of their magic, large groups will hunt him down. Should the priest find out about the book, the entire tribe will hunt the boy down. Sol only recently discovered the truth of the matter when his masters read the copy he gave them…Now he regrets selling the book to several generals for so cheap. He’s looking to dump the “salashyr” somewhere in a big city to distract any hunters using magic to track him down. Personality/Motivation Sol is a studious sort, quiet and reserved. He keeps his opinions to himself, but does not tolerate a fool easily. He prefers common sense, words of wisdom, and the company of Halflings. Big cities may be intimidating but they are full of bookstores and present a myriad of distractions. Quote: “No. I do not have a sister named, Anne.” Powers/Tactics As a Spell Inventor (see skill below), Sol could not help but to twist and tweak all the spells presented to him. As a consequence none of his spells are straight out of the University Grimoire. The student’s inventiveness won a commendation from visiting archmage (and frequent lecturer) Mysteriously Mad Master of the Mystic, Steve Long the “Other-dimensional.” For example, Sol’s Stunning Dart spell is based off the Wizardry school’s Mystic Dart. It’s a killing spell that only affects the living. Sol twisted the dart to where it doesn’t kill but stuns only. Circe’ is a Homonculous, and was created as a magic item, but given life as a familiar. As such she doesn’t have a skill roll to perform her magic, its built into her. While she still must use gestures and incantations, Circe’ doesn’t rely on Skill at all. –In fact, a number of Sol’s spells and powers passed directly to Circe. He no longer has knowledge of his desolidification or fly spells…and his life support powers passed straight to her. The powers are shared powers, so both can benefit from them. In a fight, Sol will attempt to use his entangle and sleep spells to herd the enemy into close groups for his area of effect spells. Campaign/Use Appearance: Sol dislikes the robes so many mages seem to go for. The practicality of good pants/sturdy boots means there is less to get snagged in the field. His hat is a Clint Eastwood wide, flat brim style. He cuts a rather dashing figure, but is somewhat shy around the ladies. Background/History It was the summer session at the university and Sol was looking to create something of value. He succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations. He was just a first year student, He mastered the cantrips, learned the spells, and empowered his first staff. He wanted to make a homunculus, but he wanted a work of art-the standard formula just wouldn’t work. Haunting the local book shops, Sol stumbled across a great find…in an old glass case there was a stuffed pixie. It was more than a hundred years old, and completely illegal. Sol bought it for a single gold piece. He visited a wig shop and purchased golden elven hair. Sol commissioned a doll maker for the finest softest clothing he could afford. The rest of the ingredients were at the school: his alchemy class equipment, a thousand ants crushed and powdered, enchanted clay, and of course 2 pints of his own blood… For three days and nights he poured his heart and soul into his creation. The masters were amazed. Sol had produced a masterpiece. He called her Circe’ after a mythical mage of yore. She was beautiful, with long golden hair, and graceful limbs. But she was empty, and lifeless. Little Circe’ was animate, and would do whatever Sol told her to, but she would not speak, or smile, or show any sort of emotion. Sol felt he was not finished, that he had left something out. It was a wise old master who saw though his student’s disappointment. “You have given your creation form and beauty, but to give it life you must bind it to you as a familiar, in soul as well as blood.” Sol began to research anew. In an old tome, he found his answer. Locking himself in a room with Circe’, he began the ritual of binding. When the candle burned low, and then incense burned out, he broke a gemstone and released a swirling storm of embers. It was too much for Sol, the room spun with the whirling embers, and he blacked out. Morning. Sol opened his eyes with a groan. He had a headache. Circe’ stood before his face, staring at him as impassionate as ever. Then her eye twinkled, she smiled and said, “Good morning, Master.” Personality/Motivation Homunculi are supposed to exhibit their master’s personality and quirks. Circ’e breaks the rules. Her master is serious, she is bubbly and happy. She loves to laugh, sing and dance (and in general fascinates bards). Circe’ and Sol are best friends just as master and familiars are supposed to be. She eats and sleeps, just like Sol does. She definitely has a sweet tooth. And kittens. Circe’ LOVES kittens. She has learned a few spells with her master at the university, and carries a focus at all times: A miniature wand that Sol empowered for her. But she really loved learning to speak Draconic with her master. So few take that course that she feels its like a secret language just for the two of them. Sol is not quite sure where the singing and dancing comes from. He speculates that some remnant of Pixie’s personality may have remained in the skin. All in all, Sol is quite happy with his new friend. Quote:CANDY! Oh Master! We must get some! You know, for your journey. I’m just thinking of you, Master. Powers/Tactics Circe is not meant for combat. She will go desolid and hide in Sol’s pocket or under his hat. She even has a sliding window in Sol’s hat so she can peep out. She has a number of useful qualities that she can pass onto her Master. Her life support extends to him as well. Her fly and desolid spells can also be cast upon Sol. And her Detect Magic was taught to her by the head master himself, to aid a promising young student who had succeeded so well. It is discriminatory and can analyze magic. She prefers to cast her fly spell and just leave it on all day. Moving at 4M just won’t cut it for her. Campaign Use At 35 points, you can use her yourself if you want. She is designed to be useful for a mage Appearance Circe’ looks just like “I Dream of Jeanie.” She is 15 inches tall. She will probably be smiling at something when you first meet her.

Re: So I want to "build my own solar system" (for things like astrology, solstaces, e Make is so complicated that the players will never figure it out that you never took the time to do the math. Anytime they need to consult an astrologer they should enter a bizzare room like Ogra's in the Dark Crystal where everything seems to orbit everything else, and only massive moving models can predict anything... Further, you could move the second star closer, and into a quicker orbit than you world. thats lets you change you'r world's orbit to a decades long ordeal, and its the close passes of the 2nd sun that give your earth like seasons. When the 2nd sun is away your world is at winter in both hemispheres. When the sun is close its summer everywhere. as for the twilight bit,,,think of the poor vampires...they'll just be a seasonal menace...

  18. Re: Hero Games On Google+ Apparently, Google + is in Beta? I have a Google id but they are not letting other people in yet.
  19. Re: Sol Thraxis (and Circe') Well, lets try this again. I had broken of of my cardinal rules: No Conan origins! The original story presented Sol as an escaped slave...But this is far more the university student we see in Circe's background. Sol Thraxis II Background/History Sol Thraxis was born in a rural town, miles away from any place important. Just by observing an elf wizard, Sol had learned to cast the spells “Armor” and “Sleep.” “A boy this talented needs to attend the University.” The elven captain said. The villagers agreed, and they sent young Sol to the city and the University Arcane. Quote: “No. I do not have a sister named, Anne.” Powers/Tactics Sol will use his entangle and sleep spells to herd his enemies into a close area where he can use his Fireball. Campaign/Use Sol’s spells can be tweaked to fit any sort of magic system. Appearance: Sol dislikes the robes so many mages seem to go for. The practicality of good pants/sturdy boots means there is less to get snagged in the field. His hat is a Clint Eastwood wide, flat brim style. He cuts a rather dashing figure, but is somewhat shy around the ladies.

  23. OK, I've tossed a few characters out, this would be my first submission to a GM. I'm trying to be as generic as I can with the magic system but this fits most of them out there with a few tweaks. Circe' has been reprinted here as she is his Familiar, and she's been tweaked a bit too. I have yet to receive my Grimoire, and I've not really seen actual player mages. So this may yet change. But I would submit this one for an actual game. So critique away.
