1. Re: I have a dream. (and MAN was it wierd!) I dreamed rattlesnakes were falling from the sky and biting people. The tiny ones would fall down your shirt. I woke up because I could FEEL a tiny rattlesnake down my shirt!
2. Re: If powers were related to personality traits, what power would you have? I am one of those people who are disgustingly cheerful in the morning. Thats an area effect attack right there. Mental blast 6D6 area effect, personal immunity I am also a procrastinator. 12D6 Mind control. Area effect. Only one command: "Attack Pizza Man tomorrow" I'm also bull headed/stuck in my beliefs. Mental defense 25. Hardened.
3. Re: Black Falcon 3.5 I start with the assumption that GMs are inventive and evil...they will make complications something to be feared. Hunteds to me are summoned experience points I can share with (inflict upon) my fellow PCs. I certainly will help them with their Hunteds. But with BF both being mutant AND magical in nature, I couldn't think of any better combination. And you just know a magically augmented (maybe even possessed) Minute Man Robot is somewhere in BF's future. And my fellow players may start to get concerned when lower planar creatures start showing up with mutant detectors and power draining devices... Believe me! I have worked with EVIL GMs! I have learned to fear when the GM smiles and says, "Hey Pizza Man. Roll a D20...'
4. Re: How much do you customize the setting? I was a player only in the 90s. In the several campaigns I was in, the players only wanted their own names, and their own cities. The CU played no part except for the characters in the villains handbook. We never met other heroes... As a GM my universe will be set in CU just for the ease of play. But I'll let the players vote on what city they want to play in.
5. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Curses! I must spread some rep around before I give it to the Arc again! (you just made my day!)
6. Re: What's *your* superpower? 10D6 Mind control always on, persistent. zero end. Only vs pretty girls. Only for this command: "Do not give Pizza Man the time of day." I lucked out with my wife, she has a lot of mental defense and unluck. Either that or God wanted to punish her for some reason. Ah, and she has striking appearance too! and right now I'm under the effects of Summon killer cold, works on others, armor piercing vs spouses.
7. Re: How to convince a hero group that they should be registered and work for governme Good comments here. Keep the campaign as a private company front. The govt will know that the gang will rebel against conscription/registration. That's why they use this ruse: it works, and costs a lot less than using actual agents. If you wanted govt agents, you should have told the player BEFORE the campaign.
8. Re: Black Falcon 3.5 A guy names Leandroton did this and the previous piece. He adds a lot of drama, and I do like her maniacal expression! Whatever power she's going to unleash, she going to really enjoy it...
9. Re: Superhero Images Black Falcon really getting into her job...Reach out and touch someone!
10. Re: A Thread for Random Videos I really don't know what she's talking about. I've seen the video three times. I just...can't look away. There's even a bonus video at the end. A bit more bouncy, but I have no idea what that is about either. Something compelled me to subscribe to her channel. Why am I a slave to these things?
11. Re: My characters Well done! I like this one.
12. Re: Creepy Villain Time Back in 3rd ED, I ran a cuthulu style mission with Mind Flayers from D&D, floating squid covered in writhing hairs and eyeballs, and masses of tentacles that would erupt from black doorways. I went easy on the madness checks...it was more role-play than dice (if the players roll played, I wouldn't roll the dice). they had fun, and got better afterwards... But one player kept the madness going as a schtick..."Yeah I knew a lady like that once. But then her face split and she had worms for eyes, and beetles for teeth! (runs off screaming)" As for villains. every good story line has a few grotesques. Batman had Man-Bat. Spiderman has a whole slew of them.
13. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Hi Tech Campaign Buttons of the future
14. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Spoilered goodness!
15. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine OK, I'm impressed with this one.
16. I have a character in a book I'm writing. And now that I've got hero designer, I'm going to write the characters up in the 6e Hero format. He can generate a pair of flat circular shields. They look like slightly luminous glass and can be altered them in size from 6 inches across to 6 feet across (lucky he is only five foot eight). They can move as fast as thought. and combined with his danger sense act almost as a full shield. He will generally fight with one shield (12D6 vs PD), and defend with the other. What numerical value would you assign the limitation, "Only 1/2 effective vs area affect weapons?" If he is in full defense mode, I'm thinking of just adding pluses to his DCV. Not sure how I would write up a full offense other than auto-fire (x2), and no defense at all. I am toying with the idea of a 120 point multi-power with a bunch of 60 point powers, so he can run any two at a time. Defense would just be one power. The character is rather powerful, but he's a kid with no experience. The people out to "get him" have brilliant minds at their beck and call. So he ends up captured (and tortured). All the danger sense in the world can't outrun radios, speed and overwhelming force.
17. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Jade's wearing a rather sheer loin cloth...brave girl.

19. Re: Black Falcon 3.5 OK, here is the latest BF write up. It still needs to be tweeked, but its my first Hero Designer File. One correction, She is 5'2" 115 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes Other than that I replaced her 4D6 area effect Body drain with Desolidification. Felt more like a Darkness thing.
20. Re: A Superhuman Registration World Tasha is right. A draft needs to be justified. We're fighting two and a half wars with a volunteer army. An alternative would be generous govt tax breaks to corporations who sponsor heroes, and really good pay for heroes who join the army. No forced registration. No imprisonment of innocent loved ones. The govt gets what it wants, super agents. The bad guys get taken care of. and no crimes against humanity take place. Best of all: No Player rebellion against the forces that essentially hold their families hostage. Bottom line, we do not currently possess the technology to test for super humans. Without that, there is no draft.
21. Re: A Superhuman Registration World Getting a base, a plane, and police powers are not compensation for involuntary servitude. Not everyone wants/or is mentally suited to fighting crime, nor should they be compelled to do so. A govt that threatens to punish/imprison innocents to coerce super slavery is a tyranny. There is no way around that. Calling involuntary servitude a "draft" does not change that fact.
