Christougher reacted to Ninja-Bear in Hero System: Beginner friendly?
I remember reading somewhere that DMs (yes that is right D&D) will run new players through a village fair with various contests, like archery for example, so as to introduce new players on the mechanics and where to find it on the sheet.

Christougher got a reaction from Spence in Hero System: Beginner friendly?
It would. HERO is exceptionally easy to PLAY - as stated earlier, roll 3d6 vs target number, lower is better. Roll high for damage. That's it. The hard stuff is front loaded into character creation, but if you pre create the characters your players should be fine.

It's 1957 and Bobby goes to pick up his date, Peggy Sue.
Peggy Sue's father answers the door and invites him in.
He asks Bobby what they're planning to do on the date.
Bobby politely responds that they'll probably just go to the malt shop or to a drive-in movie.
Peggy Sue's father suggests, "Why don't you kids go out and screw? I hear all of the kids are doing it."
Bobby is shocked. "Excuse me, sir?"
"Oh yes, Peggy Sue really likes to screw. She'll screw all night if we let her."
Peggy Sue comes downstairs and announces that she's ready to go.
About 20 minutes later, a thoroughly disheveled Peggy Sue rushes back into the house, slams the door behind her, and screams at her father, "Dad! The Twist! It's called the Twist!"

Absolutely not.
A mask with holes in it provides no significant protection.

My SUV needs all 4 tires replaced at a total cost of $800. That's more than the stimulus they gave us and so the wife freaked out a little.
I told her that it's no big deal and we can just rent a SUV for a day and it would only cost $50.
She said I was an idiot and that we would need an SUV for more then 24 hours.
Then I explained to her that it's more then enough time for me to swap the tires.
