  1. One of my player's characters wants an Optic Blast that he can control the direction of, would this be Indirect - From caster to any location (+1/4)? For all you FRED freaks, I'm still on 4e

  5. Thanks for the tip, though Ultron looks like he'd make a better Powered Armor Conversion like Defender. Might use the Mandroid Armor instead.... (heck! it's my campaign! I can make Mechanon look like anything I want! He could be a big purple bunny for all I care... on second thought, I'll just stick with the mandroid armor :Shudders: ) Maybe cuz Mechon could mop the floor with Foxbat and his entire team? Concerning Homies Okay, check out http://www.homies.tv (to skip the Flash Intro, goto http://www.homies.tv/home.htm ) Anyway, the homies make good figures for citizens, but some (like the clowns) can be scrapped for peices (was thinking of doing a psycho clown villian or something... no? oh alright :'(
  7. Has anybody used Homies? I'm going to get some to use for bystanders, but I supposer parts of them could be used for other stuff. Also, Anyone going to build a mechanon figure? Cuz I was thinking about doing one, but don't really know where to start.

  9. Alright, I'll give it a whack. Take the Mutant Hater's Group, and have them protesting a hospital that treats mutants. Place the PC's somewhere within the vicinity, while the protestors start throwing bricks, rocks, etc... Then take it two ways: 1 - a more militant group (we'll go with the whole "Men in Hoods" ploy) start throwing molotov's at the hospital, and brandishes everything from crowbars to shotguns, and storms the hospital. The heroes then step in to stop them. 2 - a group of not-so-nice mutants starts attackthing the crowd. Once again, the heroes step in to put the baddies down. or you could combine them.... 3 - a fight explodes between a group of militants and some mutants who don't like the protestors. My game (we won't be able to get started until next week) takes place in Metro City (Which is based on the places I've lived - Cheyenne Wyoming, Windsor Missouri, and Warrensburg, MO - in addition to what I know about Kansas City (which is conveniently called "The Metro" )

Saddly enough, there wasn't enough points to go around to build my character :-( Even placing the OIHID limit on my SPD (costed 80 Points instead of 100), in addition to DEX, REC, END, STN and CON, it still costed a huge chunk of points. Then off course there was "Super Running" - Flight 15" (OIHID -1/4, Only along Surfaces -1/4) - 20 Points Then there were my defenses: 25% rPD/rED Damage Reduction (OIHID -1/4, Linked to Super Running -1/2) - 34 Points Natural Armor 10/10 (OIHID -1/4, Linked to Super Running -1/2) - 24 Points And Instant Change - 5 Points Guess I'll have to buy the tricks later Man, that's gonna take a LONG Time
  13. Alright, I'm designing a new PC called "Turbo." You guessed it, he's a speedster (I've never played one before, so I thought it would be fun). Keep in mind, I'm stuck with 4e for the time being :-( Question #1 Anyway, how would one handle being able to pull a Flash and run accross the ocean, up virtical surfaces, etc... I remember this being bought as Flight with a "Only on surfaces" Limitation. How much would this limitation be? -1/2? -1/4? Question #2 Also, how would one write up the JLA version of Flash's Tornado hands (don't really know what to call it...). I was thinking of a MP with the following items: "Tornado A" TK 20 STR w/ AoE Radius "Tornado B" TK 20 STR w/ AoE Cone "Tornado C" Dispell vs Gasses Linked to to Tornado A or B (1/4 or 1/2 Limitation?) Rambling I've already got a base for the rest of his powers: Resistant Damage Reduction 50% PD Linked to Movement Powers (-1/2) Resistant Damage Reduction 50% ED Linked to Movement Powers (-1/2) "High Speed Fist" 4d6 HHA Reduced END (+1/4) CSL's out the Wazoo I figure since I'm going for a high speed character, I'd boost his END slightly, crank up his REC, and buy his powers with Red. END or No END

Spelling sucks, but any clues on how to do the "Omi Kakaru Ryu no Hara Meki" (this is the one that he hits his enemy so hard it creates a vacuum holding him in place and he swings around and hits them again (I was thinking a 2d6 HKA with AFx2 or something...) Trying to put together a samurai villain for my Champions game that is based on Kenshin
  15. Okay, here's my first villain team (not done writing them up as of yet, but oh well ) THE DISSENTERS Backlash (L) - Powered Armor guy with a Blade-Whip (a la Gundam Epyon). Built the suit from plans stolen from Defender's Lab during a well-planned robbery. Dark Hammer - Brick, gained powers when digging the foundation on a house and found a magic hammer. He decided that being a super-villain was more profitable than being a construction worker (though he keeps the job to prevent his family from catching on) Phantasm - scientist studying genetic mutation, lost his sight in an explosion, but the chemicals gave him psychic powers. Now trying to find a way to re-gain his sight, but with no luck KD-195 "Kadie" - cross between human and feline DNA created by Phantasm, completely loyal to him. Powers are enhanced STR, DEX, Healing, and Martial Arts. Cannot talk (lacks propper vocal chords) but understands spoken and written english. Replicator - master of Karate and Akido, discovered a mystical technique for self-replication and decided to use his talents for his own gain. Inferno - gang banger that got pushed into a vat of chemicals, the building caught on fire and he emerged as a walking inferno. Can change between human and hero form at will. Falsehood - mutant with weak psychic powers, but can create illusions by actually warping light and sound waves with his mind.

Now I feel like a dumb@$$ Okay... the only things my book covers is the Champions (Defender, Jaguar, Obsidian, etc...), The assienos (Stalker, Ocelote, Tombstone Kid, etc...), Viper Agents, and a few other characters (Crusader, Blujay, Pulsar, Mechanon etc...) So I take it the characters such as Dr. Destroyer, and others are in Classic Enemies... well that helps some :-p

  19. Whoa... first of all, the game I'm in uses 4e Second, the reason I was asking was cuz my character's STR is powered by "Blue Energy," which he can also project. My reasoning behind using a HHA for damage sheild was this: The blue energy builds up to the point that it creates a backwash around him, causing damage to everything around him (ie, anyone who is dumb enough to waltz up and hit him)
  20. Okay, my Character Super Blue has a STR of 35, which gives him a base damage of 7d6. If I bought a 3d6 HHA with Damage Sheild, would I add my STR and make it a 10d6 Damage Sheild?

  22. My turn. this is a Villain in my up-and-comming Campaign, Named "Dark Hammer"
  23. Not really emberassing as much as it was player stupidity... In my first champions game, I was playing a energy projector (4d6 Flame Blast as only attack) with invisibility and flight that was built by the GM. Anyway, I was trying to get a hotel room, but the place was booked up due to an Extreme Sports Competition. I said "I hate skaters..." as I walked out, and one of the other PCs (A girl named Frisbee) got really pissy with me, and this lasted until I had to leave. During the same game, we were sneak attacked (he litterally dropped in on us) by some guy who could transform into a Hydra-esque creature, and he landed ON ME. What's really bad is, I BSed my character's name and called him Vicks (I was obsessed by FF3 on the SNES at the time), and the group thought I named him after the medicine, and made fun of my cuz of that... I just now realized how much of a geek I was back then... Oh well.

Thanks for the sugguestions, how's this sound: Group 3 is attacking the local University (hoping to steal some artifacts from the history exibhit on display) about 10 minutes before the other 2 groups hit their locations simultaniously. This not only draws the bulk of the police to the campus, but draws them away from the bank and jewelry store. So here is the breakdown on events: 3:30 PM Inferno and Replicator (in their normal form) go into the history exhibit and look around, looking for anything of extreme value and trying to look inconspicuous. 3:40 - 3:50 PM The pair go into the bathroom and change IDs MEANWHILE Groups A (Phantasm, Kadie, and Dark Hammer) and B (Backlash and Falsehood) walk into their respective locations, staggering their arrival time as to not attract attentions (please note, "Kadie" will be waiting in a vehical until 3:59, as will Backlash) 3:50 PM Inferno and Replicator waltz out of the bathroom and attack security guards and cameras, before busting display cases and grabbing loot. All police units rush to university, as does the city's SWAT team, law enforcement will take approx. 5 Minutes to arrive. The duo use this time to make a mess of the campus, while loading loot in a van parked in a nearby handicap space. 3:55 Replicator gets the van ready to move while his 3 duplicates finish loading the loot, and Inferno blasts a clear path through the police and SWAT teams so they can escape. Groups A (Dark Hammer uses his Multiform power in the bank, Phantasm throws off his trencoat (he has public ID anyway), Kadie bursts through the window) and B (Falsehood creates and illusion of a fire and pulls the fire alarm as Backlash blows a hole in the wall, the two then begin grabbing jewels and loading them in sacks and tossing them into the van parked out back) 4:05 PM All three groups drive like a bat out of hell to nearby parking garages where they can dump the loot in open man-hole covers into a go-kart and trailor set up, then split up as follows: Group A: Darkhammer drives van away from dump point while Kadie and Phantasm load the money and cover the man-hole and drive to a pre-determined place. Group B: Falsehood takes the loot from the jewelry store through the sewers while backlash drives the van away so he can return to base Group C: Replicator and his copies transfer the stolen goods while Inferno blasts any police that followed, then gets in the van and drives off while Replicator takes the loot through the sewers. This is the villain team's plan, and doesn't take the hero group into consideration (The City doesn't have any official heroes, and relies on groups from other cities).
