I think it might be more accurate to call big G the antagonist in this movie, rather than the villain. The trailer makes a point of repeating that something seems to be provoking Godzilla to behave this way. The previous Legendary movies have established that this isn't normal behavior for Godzilla. I expect the essence of the human story line will be figuring out why G is doing this and resolving it. But there has to be something to motivate a "versus" scenario if you're going to make a "versus" movie. Besides, Godzilla rampaging through cities is an iconic element of his traditional history. He's been the villain in his movies at least as often as the hero. Many people were wondering how Kong could match Godz's superior natural weaponry, especially his atomic breath. It looks like Kong will inherit an "anti-Godzilla" weapon. Online speculation is that it was made by one of Kong's ancestors out of body parts from another of Godzilla's species. That would explain how it can block his radiation, even apparently absorb it and turn it against the G-man. That should make the fight far more even.

Not really. Their imaginations have plot holes you could drive a train through. And they're all Mary Sues. While Donald Trump is their deus ex machina.

Well, they took out three hundred guys, allowing the rebels to take out the shield generator that protected the incomplete but armed second Death Star, which rebel ships then destroyed with the Emperor and his right-hand man on board. It's a domino thing. The aforementioned The Mandalorian series is set shortly after that battle, in which we see that the Empire, although thrown into chaos by those events, is far from defeated. But I'm with you that Ewoks were a silly move. I remember an interview with George Lucas in which he claimed the original plan was for the battle to take place on the home world of the Wookies, but he claimed Chewbacca had made them appear "too sophisticated" to be used like feral guerillas. But I concur with the assessment that the real reason was to sell cute cuddly toys to kids.

In the interest of fairness, I'll just mention that scientists predicted coronavirus precautions would also diminish the spread of influenza, hence why the rate is so low. I suspect it's even lower in countries where precautions were more efficiently and rigorously applied. Speaking personally, I haven't had as much as a cold in a whole year. I can't remember the last time that happened, if ever.

The tweeter, Jon Favreau, is an actor/director/producer known for, among other things, directing the movie Iron Man and its sequel, as well as playing Tony Stark's security chief, "Happy" Hogan, in several Marvel movies. "Thrawn" is Grand Admiral Thrawn, a master tactician and major villain in the Star Wars universe, first in licensed novels, more recently in the animated Star Wars Rebels TV series. I've heard that Thrawn will be a recurring antagonist in the upcoming Netflix live-action series focused on one of the animated series' protagonists, Ahsoka Tano (former apprentice to Anakin Skywalker pre-Darth Vader), who's already appeared in the hit SW-continuity Netflix series, The Mandalorian (source of all those "Baby Yoda" memes).

I really like Transfer. I kept it for my 5E Hero games, along with other rules that had officially been dropped. The beauty of the high cross-compatibility between different editions of Hero System is that it's usually easy to insert elements from one into another.

This man is a major figure in American politics, and was a serious contender for Democratic presidential candidate. Twice. And here he is in the midst of all this pomp and pageantry, an old man in a simple parka and mittens, sitting by himself in a folding chair, huddled up trying to stay warm.

IIRC he had Cap with his raised shield in front of him, and Invisible Woman made Cap invisible so Gladiator couldn't see what he was hitting. It looked like Reed was just standing there shrugging off Gladiator's blows. Since much of Gladiator's power was "psionic," driven by his will, shaking his confidence like that made him vulnerable. Of course that means Cap's shield was completely absorbing multiple blows from one of the strongest beings in the Marvelverse. At the time that stretched my suspension of disbelief a lot. I've also seen Cap get punched on the shield by the Hulk and sent flying. Although the comic didn't mention it, I always told myself that Sue must have been backing the shield up with her force field. I could see that combination being so tough.
