  1. Hey, I searched the archives, no one has actually done this yet. Which is the better character?? Which would win in a fight?? Nighthawk vs: -BBB Seeker -Watchers of the Dragon Seeker -New Millenium Seeker
  2. Ditch the duck-bill. Tone down the shininess of the silver portions. Thats enough to satisfy me.
  3. My first character is Microman II, android successor and "son" to Dr Daniel Collins, the first Microman. Also my current character.
  4. So, you *don't* think Cap should be mortally wounded by a tank shell hit and require medical attention??
  5. Well, in our campaign, the local Tong enforces deals with demonic-style contracts. . .
  6. Too many bricks. Which means, I'm gonna take my Majestic/Samaritan homage, and cut back his brick abilities if need be to further emphasize his tech skills and gadgeteering.
  7. Um, if you look it up, you'll note that Doctor Destroyer has 15 points of Lack of Weaknesses. While Cap might have some Find Weakness, there's no way he has enough to beat that penalty. You'd need somebody like Gamorra or Karate Kid.
  8. I deploy along with every other super available to kick the aliens out of our damn solar system. It wouldn't take more than some cursory thought to realize that such an attempt to force unity is, at best, a show of malicious disregard for others.
  9. Re: Allow me to introduce...Professor Cinnabar Um, what exactly do you use to read that file format??
  10. I call dibs on Superman crossed with Reed Richards. I've got a backstory that "pays homage" to the Samaritan, but with a twist.
  11. To a major villain like DD, he's "riff-raff" because he's *incapable of doing anything to them*. Now, the more intelligent villains might target him for elimination to cut off the tactical head of the Avengers.
  12. IMHO, Transforms have some of the biggest abuse potential of any power.
  13. I've seen quite a few instances where either the Uber Villain casually deals with the riff-raff, or completely ignores them ( as they are, in fact, incapable of hurting him ). Besides, Cap is more capable than most street levels of surviving, since he's got the shield to block any direct attacks ( and at least part of AoE attacks, IMHO, though *not* the entirety of them ).
  14. Okay, you just got invited into the Holy Grail of all campaigns: the 1000 point JLA-style campaign. Create a character for it.
  15. Actually, the Asgardian Destroyer didn't occur to me at all. And yes, unless the rider is explicitly firing an underpowered beam at Cap for some reason, Cap should be a smudge. If its the Disintegrator Ray, well, even if Cap *blocks* that one, he should still be nonexistent. The main Disintegrator Ray is like some kind of ungodly hideous RKA AP AVLD ( Power Defense ).
  16. I tend to disregard periods "out of time," on the grounds that the *comics* disregard them regularly. Nevertheless, Wildcat is a very keen-witted adventurer, on top of having one extremely good martial arts powerset. Probably the Stun Only Damage Reduction, too. For a good example of modern Wildcat in action, see the JSA story where its him vs the Injustice Society. He trashes them pretty badly.
  17. Problem: Wildcat is more than 350 points, even excluding the Nine Lives power. Very good all-around physical and mental stats, the best Boxing martial arts abilities in the world ( maneuvers, DCs, levels ), a wide smattering of various skills and knowledges, a bunch of perks and talents. He'd easily be 500 points.
  18. Cap *should* get slaughtered by one or two Destroyer-Beams. . . *if* they don't hit the shield. ( one or two *hits*, obviously ) Of course, if DD were fighting the Avengers, he'd probably not be wasting any shots on Cap, since Cap has precisely dick ability to heart DD. Then again, DD would probably toss out an AoE Destroyer-Beam pretty early to "clear out the riff-raff". . .
  19. Well, you *can* wade through the typical five-team. However, you need to be either: -Reasonably powerful ( 500 points or so ) -A martial artist/street level who can beat them at their own game ( dodge while closing, use martial arts in hth ) What you can't do is take a 350 point brick or energy blaster and merely trade fire and expect to get ahead.
  20. Well, overall levels aren't a perfect panacea, since you can't apply them to familiarities. OTOH, its worth grabbing at least one unless you are really strapped for points. I also think it works best to not charge points for most vehicles and bases, unless they form a *very* intrinsic part of your character. Just purchase the appropriate skills, perks, and disadvantages to represent your position in the world and the resources you can bring to bare.
  21. First thing I would probably do in a rework is up Raven's point efficiency on that skill list. For some reason, having her be that much more point-costly than all the other characters violates my sense of esthetics. ( main trick: buy down one rank on all non-combat skills that are above base level, spend some of the points on a non-combat skill level. Net savings of about 20 points. )
  22. L. O. L. Any chance this guy, or a variant thereof, might appear in 5th Ed??
  23. Did he try and betray the Solipsist ever??
  24. I know there are some old conversions for a decent number of the characters from Freedom City. Anybody tried doing other characters, or there own versions of the already converted ones?? Like, say, Champions edition Centurion, or Omega. . .
