The Gormless Glom:
 
Mister Stick the Gormless Glom is a silicon based life form from planet Go-Goo-Goon X once hidden deep within an uncharted dark globular cluster in a galaxy pretty far from here.
 
Unfortunately a long while ago Go-Goo-Goon X was swallowed up by a giant evil hole in space caused from dividing the color sea foam green by zero.
 
Mister Stick as the soul surviver of his species escaped through a cosmic anti-extinction loophole to the conservation planet Earth.
 
Now lives in Springtucky a small logging town in the Pacific Northwest.
 
Gets along by trudging around town picking up recycling, loose change & concert tickets for scalping.
 
The local high school back in the 80s once thought to make the Gormless Glom their school mascot but it was voted down after he got struck by lightning & ate half the science wing to keep from splitting into multiple Gloms.

Major Compassion! With Fluttering cape, awesome biceps, and a big C on his chest, Major Compassion has the powers of superhuman strength, flight, and nigh invulnerability ...nigh, because like everyone else, his feelings can hurt. Indeed, he claims feeling is the greatest power of all, and will throw himself into a cause for someone who is 'obviously troubled' even if they're doing just fine. Alas, he's also an idiot who doesn't let facts stand in the way of 'helping'. Most recently he returned 23 penguins to the wild by breaking them out of zoos and dropping them off in ARCTIC waters...they were promptly eaten by polar bears. Another example was when, moved by the violence that racked the middle east, he seized several leaders of both Israel, Egypt, and Iran and brought them to the "PIG OUT PALACE!" ("If it squeals we make it into meals") for a bacon buffet and peace settlement and begged them to settle their differences "in a Christian Manner"
 
In a sense, the latter worked as both sides agreed without hesitation that the Major is both a moron and a menace.

Monsieur Vaillant, aka Mr. Valiant--Jacques Moreau, an All-American super-patriot from an alternate reality where North America was largely settled by the French.  The Americans declared their independence from King Louis in 1776, and with British aid the revolutionary armies led by Georges Beauchamp won their freedom.  When Napoleon's armies tried to reconquer the continent in the War of 1812, the Americans fought with all their might and defeated Napoleon, leading to his downfall.  Ever since then Les Etats-Unis have stood as a beacon of freedom, giving hope to all who would resist tyranny and oppression.
 
Possessing the strength of twenty men, immunity to all but the greatest of harm, and "the courage of America's teeming millions,"  Monsieur Vaillant is the embodiment of America's esprit de combatif, and wherever innocents are threatened, whenever liberty is endangered, he is there to protect the innocent, destroy those who would bring them harm, and set wrong to right.

To Infinity (Wars) and Beyond!
 

Back in 2014 I went through a major Lulu phase, pulling together PDFs and making "deluxe" hardcovers for many things. Only a couple of them were Hero System related. Among the other books I had made was this deluxe hardcover collection of the old FASERIP books:
 


 
These are fat hardcovers with full-color interior pages. Each one cost me about as much as a brand new college textbook, and that's after applying a substantial discount. The fun part was designing the cover graphics and, of course, seeing the final product in all its glory.

20 years ago I spent 30 days in the Bangor submarine base brig for calling a third class petty officer, "dude."
