  1. Boostable Charges sounds perfect for this construct, unless you want to get really complicated and build it as some sort of Duplication.
  2. No, Tsunami simply had a 7d6 EB with double KB (something in the realm of 61 active points). I think TK only to push target away is more realistic- very close to Superman's Super-Breath or a Jedi Force push.
  3. Its something to think about and work out over the weekend- what sorts of powers I would allow inside a VPP or other framework vis a vis cosmic awareness. Remember, there are actually different power levels of this "ultimate sensory power"- if it were infallible and persistent, Marvell woulda known he had cancer. I think even for a normal 350-pointer, there are some elements that could go into a MP or EC that would reflect a relatively minor cosmic awareness; lightning reflexes, spatial awareness, some various analyzes, danger sense, Defense Maneuver I-IV, some Cramming perhaps, a couple of DCV levels, a naked advantage along the lines of (+2) Special: adds up to 10 points of sensory enhancements to Sight Sense Group, Variable; Active Points/Real Points = 30. You could do all this and not screw up your campaign to any extent.
  4. I've always limited my players and myself to putting the charges lim on the mp reserve OR the mp slots, but not both. Feels like double-dipping, depite what the basic rule is for power frameworks.
  5. I think in this case the police and the GLs can differ. It's up to you how the local customs of this planet go, therefore up to you whether a GL would be allowed to do this and if not, what sanctions should be enforced against him by the little blue people.
  6. It's a magic ring. It does whatever you say it does (as GM). Each GL has exhibited a number of different superpowers that the others' have not, so you're well within your rights to restrict the ring any way you like. Remember- just because Hal Jordan, the Greatest GL of All Time, can do something, doesn't mean your PC GL has to be able to do it.
  7. Yep, Boomerang was a pitcher from Australia who got kicked out for cheating. The Secret Empire outfitted him, but later, Justin Hammer built his boomerangs.
  8. giving each form Accidental Change: When Amulet is taken away (Always) is the way to go here. How do you randomly determine the form he changes in to? With a d12?
  9. Why would you want to put a drunk Scottish villain on the Avengers? And how big are her gazoombas? My wife is interested in knowing how much "justice" she's lugging around.
  10. What do you mean I don't work in Hollywood? And anyway, I like the idea of the queen of cups, but I don't think she wants to kick. Maybe she just uses her golf clubs And her caddy can be named Kato Kaelin, I hear that name a lot.
  11. I was playing a 180-point super in a 250 point game a few years back. He was NCM and really well within normal human range. He had a neat ray gun, some basic gymnastic and deduction skills, a parachute built in to his costume, and 10 levels with Dive for Cover. Never a combat monster by any means, but he did outlive several of his teammates.
  12. Sure. This is the government- why send one guy when you can send two at twice the price?
  13. Al, as long as there are no conflicts of interests or copyright infringements, I'd really like to see your writeup from that product here. I am actually using something similar for a villain in my campaign too.
  14. wow, you've realy done a great job of getting this guy together. The differences between this write-up and your original one are substantial, without ruining the flavor at all. Well done! My only concern is one I mentioned up front to, and that's his 29 DEX. There's nothing wrong with it per se, I just don't like it in terms of the flavor of an archer. I would much rather see about DEX 20-23 with skill levels and perhaps lightning reflexes either overall or specifically for shooting.
  15. Good! It's settled. Mark, don't even bother with your sword woman idea, this is much cooler. Yep, tricked out golf cart, and if you want, you can make her a lush too. That should be fun. And make her a villain. And give her bad teeth and a funny eyeball like Marty Feldman.
  16. I think if you take a PS skill, it means you've been employed in a particular profession- not that you are any good at it. If you want to be good at it, take the skills that would make you good at that profession.
  17. As long as she's using a golf bag, why not trick golf clubs instead of swords? She could be the Queen of Clubs. And make her Scottish.
  18. I've been wrestling with this idea as well, and it seems like it can be simulated with extra limb, stretching, and perhaps some sort of attack (KA if you like) with the appropriate lims.
  19. Considering how god the UN is at messing up, I thin it's even probable that they have a team in Pittsburg. It would be equally likely that they would place a team in my home town of Providence, RI.
  20. Thank you. That's what I've been doing, but it wasn't obvious from the book. okay, post over, everyone go home.
  21. Seriously, it's cheaper to go with a straight Multiform, buy like 8 forms to start with. That ought to last you.
  22. Do you apply Adders before Advantages or after?
  23. Gotta go with the Multiform option. Multiform can be so... broken... in the right hands. Putting it in a VPP doesn't help it get more broken.
  24. By building in all the abilities of the two minds into the "base" character (Base? it's just one character), you can simulate either one being smarter. Or dumber. As far as one mind "jarring" the other awake, build in extra Ego or Mental Defense, or extra SPD, useable only to perform breakout rolls, or whatever. Come to think of it, it might be cheaper to build in the second personality as an AI.
