  7. Re: Haymaker or mere Push? Taking time to aim for the weak spot? If you can use martial maneuvers with weapons why not non-martial maneuvers? Remeber Hero is a special effect based game, even the mechanics and maneuvers behind the energy blast. If you can haymaker an Ego attack you can haymaker anything.

  10. Hi Steve, If I buy deadly blow from FH and use an AP weapon do I need to buy AP advantage for my deadly blow skill? Or do I simply do less damage AP, ie 2 dc's HKA AP, instead of 3dc's Ap? Or should I ignore the whole issue? Thanks. Eagle Eye Ali

  12. If a beastie has an array of weapons bought outside of an MP can it unleash all at the same time? Lets use a Manticore as an example, it has claws, a bite and a tail to attack with, all bought seperately. Can it slash, bite and sweep with the tail all in the same phase without using sweep maneuver penalties? I'm inclined to say that it can, but would like another opinion, would anyone care to comment?   13. I am co-gming a shared world at the moment. Five of us designed characters with 25+25 points, the diversity is staggering. We have a dex's of 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17, a str's of 9, 10, 13, 15 & 18. We have a combat monster with practically no skills and has spent all his points on stats and "axemaster". We have a Polearm-MA-type, a hunter with a knack of hitting the heart, a jouneyman wizard, and an initiate of a God of Thieves who have basically spent all thier points on skills. Very diverse I think.
  14. Hero works just as well for normal people as long as everyone knows what to expect and what is expected of them before the game begins.

  16. Okay here is my problem. Fred says that talents and special powers have now place in a Multipower outwith GM permission. So far so good. Talents have all been broken down so that they are built with powers and skills, we can see the building blocks as it were. Here is my stumbling block.. If I build some of the Talents just using the building blocks then theoretically they could be put in an MP. How do skill levels and penalty skill levels fit in an MP or do they at all? I think that it should be possible but it strikes in Munchkinism and I feel you get too much 'bang for your buck' if you go down that road. Any thoughts on this subject?
  17. Some characters will have a power level that they reach and can't increase raw power, others won't and always keep pushing the envelope. Does it make more sense to go from 60-70 str, in effect quadrupling strength, or learn to use what you already have to its maximum? Bricks with Boxing? It makes sense to me, especially as these people put thier lives on the line daily and survive only by thier Martial skills. All characters should eventually learn MAs IMHO and apply it to whatever power source they have, be that muscles, TK, Force Balsts or trick Arrows.

  21. Hello Herrr Swoboda! How is Herodom in the Capital? Say hello to Daniel for me. We discussed this power and came up with a few suggestions. Transform, expensive and long term. Negative skill levels. Flash to touch. Drains. Any other ideas?
