  1. Yep and why in one book they can easily do one thing and then can't possibly do it in another. Monolith: I merely meant how silly it seems to me, was not inferring anyone is being silly by using high DEX in anyway. Just wanted to clear that up in case;)
  2. Again one way to look at it. Another way is to see how silly it is for heroes or villians to have a base 11+ OCV/DCV/ECV. When you add in levels and such it gets a bit ridiculous. A lower dex hero or villian with lightning refelxes still allows them to move more quickly because of their "agility". Thus forgoing the need of extremely high dex. It's all depends on ones point of view and the "levels" one wants to play at. Also, just because a character isn't 400+ doesnt' mean they are starting level characters. All the characters you mention could easily be experience heros who started at a lower point level. Again, just depends on ones point of view, everyones tastes and champaigns run a different. The beauty of this game over some others.
  3. Bigest changes I made were to Demon uses magical weapons. Viper is a bit tough and less of a hero punching bag. The supreme serpet does exist and is running Viper with COIL as his enforcers King Cobra changed his name to that of a snake god and is still in business. He has his own group of snakemen working with him. He's not nuts at all, the gladiator games were merely a way of making the world thinks he's nuts, thus leaving him alone for the most part.
  4. True..In the comics it is said that Batman knows every form of Martial Arts known to man. This is quite impossible unless you several hundred years old. While it might be possible to know the basic form, Kung Fu, it would be impossible to know every subform, Dragon, Tiger Claw etc, of every form of martial arts.. The Marvel Handbook will be useful in write ups. The DC won't I have both. Marvel will tell you how much the can lit, DCs merely says that they are super strong
  5. Depends on ones point of view. If you look in CKC you find very few that have DEX at 30 and none over. Most of those with that high a dex are aliens or mutants. DR D has a 30 but that can be argued as his armor.
  6. I like the Western Shores from the original FH. They have decide to go away from it when the new version comes out unfortunitly
  7. Dex is higher than I allow in my campaigns, but he looks very nice and thought out.
  8. For conversion of bites, claws and such use their books and the Hero Bestiary. You don't have to have a exact conversion system, they're hard to work and noone seems to agree on them. Find a creature in the Bestiary that is close to the same type of creature and then base it's damage of that.

    WEll It's a slow progression. We're playtesting as we go so it will be a bit. OF course after I get the Imperial weapons working well, the rest will fall in rather easily. I plan on doing Dark Eldar and Tao as well sooner or later. I'll just base them on existing 2nd weapons that are close and go from their. The Dark eldar will be easy, most are close to Eldar weapons. The Tao will be little trickier, but it shouldn't be to hard. After that I plan on slowly working up each races squads and vehicles. While I'm mainly doing IG squads at the moment I plan on others as an option. I'll be doing guidelines for Space Marine squads as well. Just have to see how things go.

    I know of at least one thing that will be different for my campaign than the one you have worked up. I'm actually working on converting 2nd edition 40K to Hero. I play 3rd with some friends but we started in 2nd and prefer it over 3rd. So this is the style off campaign were running. I do like the work you've done, it looks nice and seems quite playable. This is why I would like a copy, I think it would help my conversion to or 2nd.
  12. Personally I wouldn't have "normal" bows doing the extra damage. I do use STR bow in my fantasy campaign. They are rare but they allow you to add your STR, upto the STR of the bow, into the damage. But as a rule They give range only to the arrows only.

    Hey I just glanced and the stats, haven't had a chance to do more. 2 things 1) The Tyranid weapons would vary creature to creature. A venom cannon on a tyrant would be strong than on a warrior. Also 2)Would it be possible to get a copy of the data for offline viewing? It be easier to look over than online at work:)

    Re: Now, the 40KCr question... Haven't worked them up yet. Players are IG. Haven't met Choas marines either. So far Necrons, killed all but 2 party memebers, Cultists and Tyranids. Play on working up stats for all races as we go. Might start a second group of characters as a marine squad. Only time will tell.
  16. Have the GM use his powers to give all the villians personal immunity to his attack. Not legal by the rules, unless the GM gives himself permission

  19. Don't feel bad. I drive about that every other week end to play. Luckly I'm also getting to se my son that weekend as well.
  20. A couple examples of martial arts using weapons would be nice. Something along the line of a archer or swordmaster MA
  21. I'd say rather the character pays or not would depend on the campaign. You can have players build heroic characters and then be "given" the mech as equipment. You could also make them pay for the mech as a vehicle. Either could work, it would merely depend on what you as the GM want to do.
  22. I've seen a Elven Archer Martial Arts. I'd work up or copy a Martial Art that fits a race of not strong but agile race. Nothing I've read would lead one to believe Elves are any better in HTH than any other race. But, they are known for the agility and "weaker" frames. So anything that uses the opponents movements against them would be a good fit.
  23. Hope your have something on psionic characters. Not a total writeup but using existing rules in a fantasy setting
  24. Robot Warriors is a good book to have. Lot's of neat itdeas in it
  25. I've found several places with most spells and such worked up. What I do is strictly for me so I've converted and corrupted a bit. I'm sure they'r open FR to OGL some in the future. Only time will tell
