  1. Good Idea: To allow a player to play a character based on Q from the James Bond Movies Bad Idea: To let a player have a character based on Q from Star Trek:TNG

    Special Effect

I tend to base it on how often the charaacter does it. I f the player tries to on one occasion to use a lamppost, then fine. If they want to do it everytime they fight on the street then they need to buy the power. Also if it is used as a wrap up I will allow it more often (IE, they have all been KO"d I'll wrap them in lampposts)
  3. No one has mentioned Digital Hero yet, there are adventure in there as well. I would also point out that a E-Line of modules would be wonderful...
  4. On the disguise Idea: I would say the base foci lim -1 Foci only (Technacly the skill would be for the person w/o this) -1 Pen only (in other words it is ONE disguise)
  5. Was it an actual Human/Duck, or was it a human version of the Terror that quacks in the night?
  6. Was it an actual Human/Duck, or was it a human version of the Terror that quacks in the night?
  7. Taximan, that is an interesting idea, you could also use a version of "shapechange" for the same effect
  8. To muddy the waters: Fred says that It would be OAF BUT UMA say IAF...
  9. Hey Susano, You might want to consider talking to Steve about a comp copy of USMB (It is an E-Book BTW, I don't think anyone mentioned that yet)
  10. Okay, as most of you know, I like to point out weird rules issues and debate them, so now I will do it again... This time it is about Foci, and what makes on obvious or inobvious I will use as an example a James Bond type "Blaster Pen" 8d6 EB, 4 charges, *AF As immagined once it is fired it is obvious that the blast is coming from the pen, but while it is sitting there it looks like a normal pen, is it IAF or OAF?
  11. Current winners: Round One: Defender of the NCU Round Two: Flare of the Guardians
  12. Yup, in the thread marks Champions Showdown, It was the Defender of the NCU IIRC
  13. By the rules if a power costs no endurance to begen with (as is LoW and Damage Reduction) it should not be placed in an EC (With out GM approval). My problem is that with the invisibility is that it should be persistant (thus again out of the EC), leaving one power (Flight), as you need two powers for an EC the EC goes away As for the Dex/Speed, I see it fast, your description was Tazmanian Devil like tornado, which IIRC was quite quick, also I think it has to do with the fact that you plan on using it in a "speedster" type of way, and as such I see it as being faster than stronger, this is also the issue I have with invisibility (I would recomend the Bright Fringe) have no real problem with the Lack of Weakness, however I do find it on the insainly high side, I would also point out that a tornado would be "vulnerable" to attacks at it's center
  14. Despite Herodesigner, you can't sell back Leaping (It is a phys limitation) Second go with a higher dex, (I would aim for at least 23, speed of 5), drop Strength down) Your EC is definatly into the "GM approval thing" and would not fly in my game most likely I question the need for invisibility (but would probably keep it personaly) and I would get rid of the Hard to target, because really how common is Find Weakness in your games, and at what ungodly numbers? I have only ever once seen someone get hit with FW with a -5 LoW I would also get some DResistance on him as well
  15. Please ignore this thread (Ben go ahead and delete this)
  16. Okay round Three, and same as before: Do to an interdimensional crisis heroes from four worlds must battle, in four way battles to determine who are the greatest Champions of all times, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN, The battle of the Bricks begin: Giant/Goliath of the Guardians: Standing four times the size of a normal Man and with the Strength of a titan. His powers come from his harness, that he inhereted from his father in law, the original Giant/Goliath. Obsidian of the OCU: Noble Prince of a far away galaxy, dedicated to protecting all of his kingdom Behemeth: A man who's soul is now bound to a netherbeast Ironclad: A Alien Gladiator with a keen eye for weakness Again we will assume all are built on 350 points using 5th edition rules
  17. This is a shameless bump for my conveinence, sorry about it
  18. Well the champions Showdown wave II is almost done, and the next will be posted tomorow, so I am curious, what of the remaining four duels do you want to see next? Marksman, Seeker, Seeker, Nighthawk, AKA the battle of the Ninja Rose, Solitare, Solitare, Witchfire, AKA The battle of the Witches Goliath/Giant, Obsidian, Behemoth, Ironclad AKA Battle of the Bricks Icestar, Jaguar, Fistfire, Kinnetik AKA Battle of the Oddball

    Wow Steve,

Having nothing intelegent to say about the new FH book yet, I do want to ask Steve a question: How fast do you go through Keyboards? 709 pages, wow... After I have read some I will comment on the Playtest boards... What is the ESTIMATED cost of this book going to be?
  20. I have a new player who wants to do a Gambit style character, Some of it is simple, I am starting with an EB, with Explosion, Restainable (Some would say this is OIF, I prefer restrainable Potato vs Potato) Now is the hard part, he wants to be able to charge an item, then when the item is droped it explodes, the delay is a problem...and I am sure I am missing something obviouse
  21. As a guestimation of what I would do is try to make a number of package deals that would include: Basic Goul 20 +20 Str (and all figured there of) 20 +10 Con (all figured) 30 +10 dex (all Figured) 10 +1 Speed (+2 total) 23 LS: Aginging, disese, Poisons 10 1/2d6 HKA (Bite) 10 1 Minor Vampiric Power (a list of optional powers) 5 Nightvision 22 1d6 Healing, From Death, Regeneration options 150 Total 10 DF 25 3d6 from sunlight per minute 15 3d6 from Holy objects per minute 10 1d6 from running water (rivers/streams/etc) per turn 20 x2 Stun & Body from holy weapons 20 Phys Lim: Can not enter a building without an invite Total cost of Package 50 Then I would come up with a bormal vamp package based of the above
  22. DC had Who's Who, depending on the edition controls how "Scientific" they got MU had two different formats, format one was collected into ten tradepaperbacks (I have all of them) and is renowned for the inacuracy (Extremly low) of its str ratings (Hulk can lift 80 tons when he is calm...WTF) The second version was loose leaf 2 issues (Have both and the binders, but they are so mixed up I have no idea who went to which one) with standardised art on the front giving a back, side, and front view of the character, with more stats but less prose on the back of each one, heavy paper.
  23. I would say a link to the higher dice, (anyone over TP 8d6 must double link a Ego Attack does body with the dice over it at a rate of 1d6 per 1d6)
  24. I agree with the above EXCEPT I would say Drain not dispell (Dispell should IMO allow for the power to be turned back on)
  25. give the purple gang some moderatly advance tech (maybe that's what they are stealing?), then again I have seen Taesers built as an NND...
