  1. You'll laugh... Character with cybertelepathy, Reprogramed Mech so that his threat analysist computer considered us to be a lot tougher than we were (Good roll on his Mental Illusion)
  2. I don't know if Steve and crew will sign off on it but I would love some Paper Minis (preferably the Steve Jackson style over the MSH system)

My version of Mech goes like this (note I will not be posting Stats: Character is an AI Computer with Duplication (1 extra body) If I wanted the head to still come off, I would build it as a Multiform with a OIF lim (Robotic Body), then Maybe include a large RKA w/Explosion, 1 charge, yada yada, and Trigger

Correct me if I am wrong, but two different frameworks can be used together to make a multiple Power attack, just define the VPP as a EB with x2 KB (or if you want to get nasty, a strait EB, then a Flash: Touch, Does KB, Double KB, both bought with OAF (a 60 point VPP witll be able to create a 8d6 EB 0end, and the above flash 0end at 8d6)

It's the whole Duplication change, it use to be that you had to pay for each one, now you just double for +5, when you have someone with THAT MANY high powered forms, it's going to save a bundle But if you feel like you NEED those points, buy followers and add a thousand to his VPP, trust me your players will DRED seeing him

Steve has corrected my statement, HOWEVER, I know that many gaming stores BELEIVED it was to be 5th edition (note I am refering to the 1st edition of C:NM here, not the second), now this might have been just bad communication, but at the time the internet was in it's infancy and accurate gaming information was far and inbetween for the consummer. Steve as a designer at the time would have had a better "inside track" than what I knew at the time. To be honest, while I disagree with some things done sense DOJ has taken over, I have to say that I am impressed with the way they have kept communications high.

The facts as I understand them follows: Fuzion was to be Hero 5th edition, but not only did they scrap the story, they scraped the system then refered to the rules from 4th edition as being essentialy required, it was a huge mistake they took the art and tried to imitate the "hot" comics of the day, namely Image so anyways, in essence they ticked off almost everyone SOMEHOW, so now people have taken there hatred over a part of it (Be it art, story, or the one I loath rules) and extend it to all parts of the project
  11. I agree, and to whit, it also depends on the game, my Star Knight character who essentialy has one needs to be able to damage high end supers, thus it is bought with AVLD: Force Fields F/X
  12. What about this: The head is the main character The body is a Multiform bought with OIF, then if the Foci is destroyed he has to replace it?

Okay, I asked Steve about this, the answer was "no" so I ask, how can you make a character who damage from form A does not carry over to form B, but both can be harmed and both need normal healing time? As Steve has said no to my first idea (that was questinable), I ask for the rest of you to give me ideas
  16. Can a character take desolid (with appropriate limitations) define it as Invulnerability, thus attacks would stop at them? Example would be Superman sitting there with his hands on his hips bouncing bullets all day long (Note he rarely does anything besides move in these situations)

  19. The Astral form power in 5th edition (Ex power for dplication): Could the characters true self still talk and communicate with those around it, can it still perceive the world around it? If not could the same effect be created by making a Multiform with a limitation of leaving body behind? if so how much would the limit be worth (my instinct says to use the old desolid -1 limit value)
  20. More on this from Duplication can a character take Regen on the duplications, only while recombind to represent them healing faster? On the ranged advantage to recombing, can a character take Metarange to allow for longer range recombines?
  21. according to the FAQ for duplication Can you use the same -0 lim for Multiform? An example of what I am thinking of is the Marvel Comics character Darkhawk who could become a superpowered form, the F/X was his contiousness was transfered to a robot type thing from another dimension and his body would go to where the robot was kept and put in stasis, when he changed back his normal form he would be uninjured and his robot self would be repaired while in the other dimension (A Regen only while not in use, 1 body every hour seems right for this part)

I'll admit it I never liked Duplication for this and I will explain why: Duplications "Function" is to make it so you can run two (or more) characters at the same time, that is not the effect here, rather the effect is to change into another form while leaving your old one behind as a useless shell, however I will add to this "rant" that it is appropriate to use duplication depending on if the base character can do anything, for instance it may be appropriate if the character can still comunicate with people at the base...

One I liked was Crownguard, it was the guys last name,he had a PI He was sort of a Captain Britain clone, Brick that would loose some umph outside of UK controled terretories, his powers were actualy linked to the throne of Britain (or that is to say the govermental postion of Britain) so when Britain did not have a monarch he would be powerless, the powers were passed down from father to eldest son Powers he lossed were Hardend on his Armor and 1/2 End on his str, 10 points of Strength and 5/5 Armor, that is when he left Brittish lands, without a monarch he was powerless
  24. Control multiple robots ? Idea is that as she develps she will have more choices of which robot to use, but she will only ever be able to control one at a time (Think of a PA character with multiple suits) to start with it will be one robot - Must robot be at machine for her to activate or deactivate control ? Not as such, she can definatly deactivate it at will, I think she should be able to activate it at will as well, but will have to think about it, maybe a middle ground on the activating that she must start it at the machine, and stay in the machine but if it is deactivated she can stay in the machine and reactivate it (say if it is Dispelled or something), but if she leaves it needs to be returned to the machine GM has obvious story hook if character doesn't know what will happen to her mind if she's in the machine when the machine or robot is destroyed good point: Other points Stun she will feel The mental thing, I will have to think on, my gut says that it should be a "Machine" mind (obviouly with the range of mental powers someone with "Mind Scan" cna still effect the real person) Body Damage, will have to think on this as well, I don't see much, but it is a possibility (Maybe some Damage Reduction built into the machine?) Yes I see the body being able to be stoped by something that interfears with the singal
  25. Well not quite as large as Cerebro, it would be able to be moved in a large pick up truck and about 3-4 hours to get it ready to move and another 3-4 hours to reassemble
