I want to make a character who is not the actual character (Okay I KNOW that sounds weird so I will explain) The character has a machine at her headquarters that she goes into, then the machine will send her thoughts to a robot, that she essentialy controls via telepathy, however when controling the robot she is confind to the machine (Think of something like Cerebro but controls a robot instead of aids mental powers). Okay my idea: Build it as a Multiform, with a limitation of leaves body behind (What value however, (-0)-(-1) all seem appropriate to me), also would an Immovable foci be appropriate here? However I am not purley content with this idea...

Quick question: How appropriate is the name Wuxia for a hero? points about the character: He is a wandering MA type hero Has Minor Ch'I powers (powers marked with a ? are not set in stone) *Speedster level Dex/Speed but not movement *Extra inches in leaping (10-15" total or so) *Healing? *Mystic senses? *no "flashy" powers such as Fireball *regeneration? Will be centered in Asia (probably Japan instead of China, but he will be Chinese) For some reason I see him using a staff Kind of modeling him after Kung Fu the legend continues
  3. I like the NM stuff personaly (But will refraim from commenting on that which is known as Fuzion) IIRC that is the only book of the series that got printed, while two others were printed using soley Fuzion at 30% all are probably worth picking up to mine for story ideas Happy gaming

Three terms that must be defind first (Will use Voltron to illustrate: Lead Vehicle, this is one of the smaller vehicles that will form the main Vehicle, normaly it will form the head or torso, or control bridge, furthermore it is usualy driven by the Leader of the squad (Black Lion) Sub Vehicles, driven by the varius members of the team, combine to form Main Vehicle (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow Lions) Main Vehicle, when all forms combind it creates this vehicle Lead Vehicle takesthe following two powers: Multiform:Main Vehicle, all duplications must be present to change (-0) & Duplication: sub vehicles, always on (-0)

My solution to this problem is actualy quite simple, if a character takes affects solid world he MUST have a hunted that has powers that effect the character while desolid, or to be more honest the character will have a 8- hunted at the very least, if they choose not to take such disad, well they don't get the points but do get the hunted (Most choose to take the hunted) To be honest though it has only come up once or twice, the one time I rememebr was on a mage character, who's desolid was effected by magical attacks, it was easy enough to justify a hunted

A couple of other points: Unlike other more randam character creation systems you need a concpt when making your character, as the game has none of the short cuts you see in other systems (Classes and such) Also I will recomend the Hero Designer program, it can help with the number crunching Out of curiosity what systems have you used, as such we might be able to work from the differences of the system you are familiar with

Because the "Expanded Universe" (Books/comics/etc) have repeatedly said it can cut through anything I think a big attack could work, or a small special attack I like the small special better (For actual setting a NND Does Body, for a superhero transplant a AVLD vs ED FF Does Body) as it will allow for some spectacular effects normal weapons will not be able to do (Damage an AT AT, destroy blast doors) while keeping damage reasonable against opponents. It all comes down to the DC's in the end... 3d6 RKA vs a 1d6 HKA NND, Does Body would be about the same in my opinion, but if everyone else is using 2d6 RKA as blasters, then I far prefer the lower damage with NND

While the possesion of a power is not a crime, most powers are considered "Deadly Weapons" when used in a crime Masked testimony is allowed, but another way must exist to "Prove" identidy Mental/Mystical powers may be used in investigations, but not in court, further more telepathy can only be used on surface thoughts, anything further is considered violating human rights. While not required a warrent is usualy issued AI's/Aliens/etc...are considered aliens and can get citizenship after proving sentience
  9. Start with Duplication for the robot, give it Multiform for the bike, then it is the same as above
  10. 1d6 NND Does Body RKA, Personal Immunity (Damage only), AE 1hex, Sticky, trigger (sufficient body), charges
  11. I have a long standing rule that any OAF that provides either a HA or a RKA has a free naked power modifier Ranged: 1 recoverable charge, range based on Str, costs end
  12. 350 points? Okay, first make him a MA Give him a small VPP (30-40 should do it) and a MP for common pranks
  13. Take a page from the comics: Joker is not a threat to Superman, and a far cry from the JLA... But those silly heroes want to SAVE lives, to bad if they don;t do X the city will blow up, while they do X you rob the banks blind. etc...
  14. You are to hard on your self, some of the stuff in there is dang good (The cop shooting at targets for instance is still one of my favorite pieces in any Hero book)

My gut says to do this: Build the character with a multiform, and a 100% different Duplication (The bike), as a -0 the dup takes always on When he multiforms the duplication power is no longer in effect and he assumes a form that has the more complete character (When the two combine) MF should have a -1/4 lim (Dupe must be present)
  16. the most "Workable" system I have seen for it is that Active limit is a 1/2 point trait, pool size was also a 1/2 point trait, you combine the two and divide in half for the control cost So you could have a 40 Active Limit 60 pool size (Up to 60 real points) 25 control cost Personaly I just make them take a -1/4 lim for up to 2/3 pool (60 point pool, 40 active limit) size limit -1/2 for 1/2 pool size (60 pool, 30 active limit)
  17. Give the duplication a -0 Can not recombine/always on, put it on a single rat, buy the big cheese rat as a Multiform
  18. I have a Champions character with a Lightsaber type weapon, this is how I did it: 1d6+1 HKA, AVLD:ForceFields (+3/4), Does Body (+1), 0 End (+1/2), AP (+1/2)

I have an Idea for a group of villains: One is a mentalist One is Super Strong One is a Blaster One generates Forcefields/Forcewalls One is a Mentalist Essentialy a group of 1 trick ponies EXCEPT: They have special bracelets that will allow them to share there powers with anyone who has a similar bracelet, Sooo There all Superstrong Blasters, generating Force Fields with mental powers The items should work for anyone who straps them on (can not remove a bracelet from the link) & the powers should fade if the character with the power is KO'd Should also have a range of about 1-3 Km, outside of it the person with the power might as well be KO'd
  21. The other guy I beleive is "Star*Guard" or what ever the GL clones are called (Both are from Digital Hero...and why don't you have a subscription yet?)

Okay the value of DR is as follows: A character can make his Free PD/ED resistant Armor: Can be used by characters with NCM to up there protection FF: Useless (new adder modifies this to Next to Useless) Yes when used on a secondary defense (FD, MD, PowD,PD) it is for AVLD's (Or its minor brother BOECV) primarily (while other attacks may use it for some reason)

  24. I will echo what has been said, both ways work, but by origin I would go with a VPP, only change at the lab As most will be OAF he will be able to carry two with him at a time, maybe even three with some judicial point saving
  25. Most GM's will say no to that HOWEVER 2 Multipowers, one of attacks and another of movements can be interesting
