When a player moves their character around to get behind another character, either the player of that second character, or the Game Operations Director if it's an NPC, should reach out their dominant hand, grasp the figure between thumb and forefinger, rotate the figure until it faces the one who just moved, and say "Ok, he turns to face you."

    Problem solved.

    Now I remember.

In order to do a 30d6 Move Through using 0 strength the Earth must move 180m on its phase.

Since terminal falling velocity is 60m/s this means the phase of the Earth lasts 3 seconds.

Thus, the Earth is speed 4.

    Five miles meandering with a mazy motion Through wood and dale the sacred river ran, Then reached the caverns measureless to man, And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean;
Despite the words of the poet, the Sunless Sea is not truly lifeless, although it is not exactly teeming with a diversity of life forms. All sea life native here has transparent soft tissues, and those who shone a lantern beam into the water and spied what seemed mere skeletal fish swimming, assumed the Sea to be home to undead animated by some foul necromancy. Contrary to that superstition this is the Sunless Sea into which Alph the Sacred River runs, and water from here is Holy Water, useful to disrupt necromantic energies and damage undead.

A damsel with a dulcimer    In a vision once I saw:    It was an Abyssinian maid    And on her dulcimer she played,    Singing of Mount Abora.    Could I revive within me    Her symphony and song,    To such a deep delight ’twould win me, That with music loud and long, I would build that dome in air, That sunny dome! those caves of ice! And all who heard should see them there, And all should cry, Beware! Beware!
The final defense of the Ancestral Voices is called The Muse, or The Damsel with a Dulimer. Appearing as a lovely maiden the Muse will so enrapture an adventurer that they offer no resistance when led away to be fed on honeydew and milk, and installed as the latest Prophet of the Ancestral Voices.

    Yes.

Doubling the cost of Characteristics past some arbitrary limit is and always has been a bad idea. Abandon it. Not just for wolves, but for all characters.

Set whatever absolute limits you like for wolves, Ogres, Pixies, and Humans. If you don't want a Human with a STR of 30, a player shouldn't be able to get that just for spending 10 extra points. Conversely if you feel the character's background justifies STR 23, there's no reason to charge 3 extra points for that. If it doesn't break the game at a cost of16, it won't break at a cost of 13.

If a palindromedary will break your game, it will break your game no matter what point value you put on it....

You managed to give me for one the impression you were opposed to using Perception rolls at all.

In any case, I still have to disagree. If an Image is targeting Sight, for example, someone who has a bonus to Sight rolls should have a better chance of seeing some flaw in the image that gives it away as unreal.

If it were the case that there were a rule stating "Only characters who have been formally trained in Acrobatics may take the Acrobatics Skill" then you'd have a point.

But when you say "In the current HERO System rules Peter Parker would only have the "untrained" Acrobatics skill" you are simply mistaken. There is no rule stating "Peter Parker can't have the Acrobatics Skill." Nor does having that skill signify "training" necessarily. Having the Skill means you can do acrobatics. Maybe you can do acrobatics because you are an olympic gymnast or a circus acrobat. Or maybe you can do acrobatics because you were bitten by a radioactive spider.

Expanding on the Highlight: "But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover! A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething, As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing, A mighty fountain momently was forced:"   Let me know if that's not enough expansion.   As for the architects goal: Yes, Kubla Khan changed his mind. What started as a pleasure dome became a shrine to the Ancestral Voices.   Now for more picks:   another highlight: "So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round;" The first obstacle facing adventurers is the walls and towers, or more precisely, the devotees of the Ancestral Voices who garrison and patrol them. Religious pilgrims are also found in this section, but they generally don't fight - they will, however, loudly alert the guards if they see an adventurer trying to sneak into the forbidden grounds.

    A third highlight:
"And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;" Incense harvested here is widely held to have occult properties. Obviously, the guardians of the place take a dim view of those who attempt to harvest their own rather than paying the rather extremely high price for official, approved incense.   And a fourth highlight: "It was a miracle of rare device, A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!" Xanadu's cave of ice are a unique wonder. Legend says there is a safe path through them to the deep romantic chasm which slants down a green hill athwart a cedarn cover but many adventurers have ended in the icy, crushing grip of the caverns' Ice Golems. Other legends say that there are other rare devices of forgotten technology or obscure thaumaturgy concealed in the caves of ice.   I believe I have one more highlight and a mythic monster coming, but I am not able to pick them yet.   Lucius Alexander   It was a miracle overlooked for being so commonplace, a palindromedary in a tagline
