  2. Re: NCIS: Hudson City --- Would You Want To Play? The Harbinger does not hurt innocents, and would never harm a law enforcement officer (unless they were corrupt and/or criminal), so worst case for the NCIS team is they fail to catch him.
  3. Re: Martial Arts Resources The original "Get Tough" by W E Fairbairn is a classic.
  4. Re: CHAMPIONS 6E -- What Do *You* Want To See?
  5. Re: The Annual Hallwoeen Game: War of the Worlds! Or did they just defeat them? BIG DIFFERENCE!
  6. Re: The Incredible Shrinking Species
  7. Re: The Incredible Shrinking Species Will everything else shrink also, or will animals, insects etc. now be effectively giant sized with respect to humans? How about plants? Buildings and machines? And, will it be reversible?
  8. Re: Long Distance Communication It was a "speed of plot" effect.
  9. Re: Pulp Squid Cake THANK YOU! I finally get "pie doesn't have tentacles."
  10. Re: Federated Super Teams (Galactic Champions) Why Oi Vey? (I know what it means, I just don't see why you consider it appropriate here.) Also, doesn't everyone speak their native language "like a native"?
  11. Re: Into the Past With Strangers She took the guard's weapon (and belt and pants) at the end of chapter 5. In chapter 13: "Haven stuffed the thing back in the bag. She looked up. They knew where she was. Lucky thing they couldn't hover like an autogyro. Otherwise, they would drop down on top of her like that. Haven ran with careful steps. It was too easy to turn an ankle in the undergrowth. She didn't want that on top of everything else. The plane circled overhead, trying to pinpoint her in the trees. Bullets cut loose as men pointed weapons from an open hatch. The projectiles ripped leaves and wood as they ran to one side of the running archaeologist. Haven wished she had a gun to shoot back with. She had a fair hand with a hunting rifle. Her father had taught her that much." Now this could mean she didn't think the pistol would be effective, but it is ambiguous.
  12. Re: Things You'd See in a World Full of Supers... When I played "Rex the Wonder Dog" he had "hunted by dog catcher" as a ZERO point disadvantage. Superguy fined for failing to clean up after supermutt left a steamer on the Dog Catcher's front porch. Did anyone see supermutt do it? If not, what are they going to do, send the "material" to the crime lab for analysis? I don't think that you can get much usefull for Identification from poo.

  14. Re: Into the Past With Strangers Having just read the story again, I have a question. Didn't Dr. Walkur take a pistol from the sentry when she escaped down river? What happened to it? In later chapter she didn't have it.
  15. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares OOOPS! My bad. But even correctly, I am not disturbed by it; sound interesting.
  16. Re: CU: How does PRIMUS handle foreigners? Are the non-US beings resident in the US, or just visiting? If they came into the US in pursuit of the villains the legal situation is very different than if they are residents.
  17. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares What is the problem here? The first one was a classic.
  18. Re: Into the Past With Strangers Question: Who was the "Captain" referred to near the end? The senior survivor of the crew was the bosun, as I recall.
  19. Re: How do you build Drives? I love the Honerverse, but the basic impeller wedge drive does violate conservation of energy.
  20. Re: Browncoat Mal Reynolds on Castle
  21. Re: Into the Past With Strangers Clearly, the orb is (part of?) the probe. It actuated as a result of what was done to it in the story. So is the sequel an "Invasion of Earth" story?
  22. Re: Browncoat Mal Reynolds on Castle As long as we are only vaguely related to SF here; does anyone know if he (the actor) wrote "Heat Wave"?
  23. Re: Star-Trek-Gate-Wars 5 There is a lot of truth in what you say, but I REFUSE to believe in any sane organization (military or not) that used ST-TNG rules of engagement. Not to mention their interpretation of the non-interference rule!
  24. Re: NCIS: Hudson City --- Would You Want To Play? Sure, why not?
