    A pit.

Re: A pit. I like the tunneling idea as well, take on ranged and you can have some fun. With the Transform I thought there was a middle ground between Minor and Major, a 10 point option that would work. It's expensive but once you can break that 32 Body cap regularly there's a lot of room for some fun. Say a 10d6 or 15d6 transform. With the 15d6 transform I think you'd be rolling around 50 body on average so that's 8 hexs deep if my math is right.
  2. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Gilligan little buddy walk on two legs not on four. The Professor says walk on four legs breaks the law. Mary-Ann's gone to the House of Pain.

  8. Re: Certified's Super Awesome thousandth Post So a thousand posts for you was like what, two three weeks? Glad you liked the characters.
  9. Re: Decent Character or Too Much Cheese? That looks like it could be a really fun build. It's 2d6 with Def 2 so I don't think it's too much, maybe physical attacks did half damage to the hold and half to he entangled person. So that get getting hit shakes them out of it.
  10. Re: How does your world handle Magic/Psi? In the Metahumans Rising setting Magic is something that has always existed. A popular modern belief is that magic and supernatural creatures were earlier Metahumans before science fully uncovered these genetic differences. However, this theory would be wrong. There are those people out there who are able to tap into magical forces without being genetically different. These mages are often secretive some belong to arcane orders while others study alone. As for Psionics, this category of powers is seen as little different than normal Metahumans. Psychics are often considered dangerous due to fears mind reading and control but beyond that there is little more than the normal stigma.

  12. Re: Silvertongue I could help with stating Linkovich Chomofsky but that's about it for Brendon Fraser Characters.
  13. Re: Hero System Good Idea/Bad Idea... Grifter Hero - Con Men working the angles looking for the big score. Olympic Hero - Political Intrigue and sports competitions. Carthage Hero - Adventure, survival, escape, can you avoid becoming the next sacrifice? Arkham Hero - From HP Lovecraft to Gotham City what horrors lurk outside your cell? These all seem like good ideas to me.
  14. Re: Confedrate Comics Freeman: No one is sure hold old Freeman is but the scars across his pack are clearly from the whip. Freeman battles to protect others oppressed by the CSA with impenetrable flesh and the ability to manipulate and glide through the earth. Some believe Freeman is the ghost of an escaped slave and that his soul cannot rest until all men are made truly free. CSA propaganda promotes that there is no one Freeman but multiple men who pose as the uppity black to spread fear in the white community. CSA reports indicate that these Freemen have been killed over a dozen times by law enforcement. The truth is something far different. A slave be brought to market in the colonies before the United States won their independence the man who would become know as Freeman fought alongside whites for a liberated America, a free America. When the war was over he was returned to his master's farm in South Carolina where he rebelled refusing to go back to being a slave. Whipped and beaten for days he was hanged at the plantation's tallest tree as a reminder of what it means to rebel. As the noose dropped though he spoke a silent prayer for all those who had died for this land and it's said the mother heard his prayer. When his body ws finally laid to rest she came to him and blessed him, called him back and set him free. Imbued with the strength of the land whips would break at his back bullets would flatten at his chest and he would have the strength to set all men free. Pulling himself free from the earth Freeman was reborn but the world had changed around him. Centuries had past as the Earth Mother worked her magic on his body and he found himself in a place he hardly knew. This however, has not stopped his goal, in fact it has only driven him harder to correct all the pain inflected by a corrupt government and those who see them as inherently superior. The Dog Catcher: CSA super solder Randal Barns left the military to join the police. There he found he had not just great skill at tracking down targets but a love for the work. Opting for an experimental government program Barns found his already keen senses enhanced to super human levels in addition to his new found sensory powers he learned he could also control the minds of animals, dogs being the easiest. Since this time he has worked for a secret government agency tracking down and removing abolitionists and anti-gorvernment rabble rouses within the CSA.Wearing protective body armor and a wolf head mask they call him the Dog Catcher.

  16. Friend of mine sent me this The revolting 'Dr Who' sea monster that terrified tourists Turns out this is not the finger of an elder god or alien just a natural occurrence but I offer it up to the hero boards to let minds run wild and come back with stats and stories.
  17. Re: Female/Male Super-Forms This seems to be a common problem in the gaming world. We can craft world upon world with characters in the hundreds with personality and quirks and needs with ease, ask us how we feel and suddenly ninety percent of us become mute. Nothing really to add here just an observation. There have been far to many times where I've been guilty of this one too.
  18. Re: Female/Male Super-Forms This reminds me a lot of Rama 1/2 an anime is was none to fond of but that's beside the point. I think who you should talk to is your group, voice your concerns about the character and solicit feedback from the other players see how they will feel about introducing the gender bending brick. Also, if you are seriously worried things might not work out, talk to the character's player have him design a back up character in case this one does not work out. Then even if this character goes a few sessions and you decide it's not a good fit he can swap out for a character with the same experience.
  19. Re: Waking up with not-so-super powers Longevity Immortality and 1 pip of regeneration.
  20. Re: Hero Histories based on the Ages of Comics Thank you, I'm glad you liked the timeline. With the Gal-Mar storyline I wanted to capture something like Jack Kirby's galactic adventures. At the same time I really was looking for a kind of Flash Gordan throwback story arc In the seventies I wanted to have Vigilant really jump from being a pulp age throwback to fighting at the same power level as actual super heroes. To make this transition I thought a four color styled Justice League or Avengers would serve as a kind of spring board. The logic being if he can fight alongside powered super heroes he's obviously as strong as them. You know power creep from changing writers. The eighties seemed to have a lot of Asian connections and so I thought it was appropriate. The Jade Empress being a kind of combination of Storm, Lady Deathstrike and Itsu. This was also a darker time in comics and so I wanted to reflect that. As for Ruby Red although he married the Jade Empress I think his heart always belonged to Ava Daring. With introducing the Jade Empress I was also trying to strike on some of the strange kind of love stories that crept into comics of the time. Scott, Phoenix and Phoenix comes to mind. Although the timeline never actually details it I think she does since it's in Korea where he finally captures her. I have to admit I'm surprised I only had the one comic code infraction. Maybe Imuthes the Mummy Lord only had the scary name but was a living human? Something along the lines of Shiwan Khan, possessor of magical powers but still human?
