  1. Admitedly If it had been at that rate, I probably would have bumped it up on my 'get now instead of later' schedule.
  2. If I may suggest to any fellow players? Perhaps someone who HAS purchased it and had time to digest it fully might post a detailed and honest review to RPGnet? That way more would at least know it is availible (not everyone who plays Champions may actually be a regular on these boards), and could decide for themselves if it is worth purchasing. From what I hear, it most assuredly is.
  3. Speaking only for myself In my case, cash flow is the major concern. I'm having to space it out. I just recently FINALLY got Terran Empire... in short, it looks like I'll be a few months behind when it comes to picking up products. I really DO want the product, but life keeps delaying my delights.
  4. Joining the Club I finally got my hands on Terran Empire. Really, I had some concerns, particularly since my players are very into Champions, but not so interested in Star Hero. I figured that I would at least get a chance to use the "official" races in my current Champs setting so got it anyways. MAYBE I could talk them into gaming a sci fi game as well...but I was still worried this would be a 'novelty' at best. Now that it is in my hand, the effect is not unlike reaching into a box of crackerjacks HOPING for maybe a neat plastic ring, and finding a gold nugget! I find myself quite taken by the setting, which manages to incorporate classic elements without getting cliche' about it. It has so many hooks, options, and information that I am now much more certain I CAN hook my players... and what's more, they'll thank me for it.
  5. Ya wouldn't happen to have also had something to do with one planet being named Osiris, would ya?
  6. Q: Why did you start all those threads on how America sucks? A: Dexter's Labratory, Castle Grayskull, and the local Krispy Cremes.
  7. Q: Would you be willing to watch Roseanne's new "reality" show? A: It seems to be a giant monument created by some phalus obsessed culture.
  8. Q: Why did you press the big red button marked "Doomsday Device, untested! Danger!" ? Q It feels like a hundred needles stabbing similutaneously
  9. Q: Heard about the new show, Guardian of the Dead Careers , who's in it? A: It's a glowy pointy thing that does... stuff.
  10. Q: So, they're mixing Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon with Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood? What's it going to be called? A: She has blue skin but I still love her.
  11. Q: What's with the lock of white hair? A: It flakes and peels, but feels SO good when it comes off.
  12. Q: What pickupline would you try on a woman with a 45 PRE? A: diaherra, itchy rashes, and a sudden urge to yodel.
  13. Q: Your kidneys are in great shape for a person your age. A: Subject: Memos. TO: Everyone who reads/uses/makes memos There have been too many memos about memos. Please make a memo reminding all staf that this overabundence of memos must be curtailed, then xerox a copy and send it to our main memo office. Thank you.
  14. Q: What do you mean Hypolitya has sold out? A: An Orange Security Alert
  15. I've got to say it looks gorgeous!
  16. Are you also taking genetic splicing and clones into account? If human beings underwent some sort of inheritable bio-engineering for different planets, you might have a darn good substitute for varying races after some generations passed.
  17. Q: What's everything an oversexed superhero robot could want? A: Ironclad sneezed.
  18. Q: I'm looking to experience the rock and roll youth I never had, Anything I'll need? A: The Death Star decked in ribbons and several yellow balloons.
  19. Q: Have you been munching shrooms in the barn again? A: Starfire, Firestar , and a bottle of body wax
  20. The logic is so compelling, so persuasive I... I must have this product!
  21. Here's a thought Have an NPC do the legwork, but insist on having a PC come along for protection. The PC can be used as either muscle, or to save the NPC from developing cement boots In the mean time, the PC will be watching the NPC at work, and will have a perfectly legitimate reason to buy those same skills later on and you won't have to do this again Assuming they want to.
  22. She is on pages 184-187 of Conquerers, Killers, and Crooks. She's a 'cop' from the Andromeda Galaxy who serves a rather draconian legal system. One of her powers is the banishing of criminals to "duress" , a prison/torture camp dimension where they serve time (sometimes, forever) for crimes according to her own people's law. Moderation is not her strong point.
  23. Q: What kind of man insists on Hookers during his Nevada visits, but never returns the favor to HIS guests? A: verbose malcontent
  24. Q: Why did you go on an interstate killing spree that cost the lives of 47 members of uppermanagement? A: It's purple, with yellow polka dots.
  25. Q: so, what's the name of that streetgang again? A: He has a large red S on his chest, and tiger stripe speedos!
