  1. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? And Hadji made an appearance in an episode I missed. Apparently he isn't named, but it's obviously him. Scott Baker
  2. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? IMHO, yes they were. There's just too many JQ references for it to have been anything else. Scott Baker
  3. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? I had the same reaction. Growing up, Jonny Quest was one of my favorite shows. When it finally came out on DVD, I didn't think twice before snatching it up. Scott Baker
  4. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? OddHat - thanks for the writeups. Repped. Scott Baker
  5. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? I'm looking forward to checking out the new page. Scott Baker
  6. Re: Venture Brothers Hero? HD might have a memory error trying to list them all. Scott Baker
  7. Re: [book Review] Millennium City Thanks for another fine write-up. Scott Baker
  8. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Thursday, April 26)
  9. Re: Player Adventure Feedback The extra XP is similar to something I used to do--mine was much more limited. Every session all of the players would secretly vote for the "MVP" of that session. The player with the most votes got an extra 1 XP. I never had a tie vote, but would have awarded both players an extra 1 XP in that situation. Scott Baker
  10. Re: Should I keep going with this article? Definitely continue! And have some Rep--the first with any points behind it that is! Scott Baker
  11. Re: Unofficial Welcome Mat (For New Members) And their posting fees! Oh...wait...quiet...shhhhhhh...before they notice you.... Scott Baker
  12. Re: New Power: Scalable Immunity I'd guess that's a typo and should read, "The attacker only rolls 7d6 EB...." Scott Baker
  13. Re: Nazi Robot Attrack Video (You must spread some rep...) I couldn't get to the site earlier today, but now that I can..that's a great video. Thanks for sharing the link! Scott Baker
  14. Re: Steampunk keyboard That's great. I'm going to have to check out some of their other projects. Scott Baker
  15. Re: Hero Talk Magazine I've just gone through the whole thread. This is good stuff. I'm looking forward to more articles. I just wish I had the time/energy/talent (pick any 3 ) to do something like this myself. Scott Baker
  16. Re: Champions or Hero System v5 ??? I have to agree, good call. Having been out of gaming for a few years, these are the first two items I acquired when I was looking to start back up. These are definitely the cake. There are lots of other good Hero System books, but their just the icing on the cake. And welcome back glenn69. Scott Baker
  17. Re: A skeletal CU from 1st Ed Champions Just remembering back a quarter century here, but when my friends and I were playing first edition Champions we felt that the setting was meant to be contemporary. So I like the fact that this is being set in the early 80s. We also treated Viper and Dr Lirby Koo's organization as separate entities. Based on the main champions book we never saw any sort of connection between the two--unles they were in competition to retrieve some object for their next great scheme. Scott Baker
  18. Re: A Thin Moral Line...? I'm another member of the not-currently-reading-the comics club. They started going where I didn't care to follow quite some time ago. From what I remember, and what I've heard lately, I vote for Punisher as a villain. I'd also like to vote for the folks that brought us the Punisher movies as villains. Other characters, such as Batman, Wolverine, etc. have probably crossed the villain line at times as well. However, I think that's more a matter of the particular take on the character at the time by the writer(s) and editors. I don't see them as being villains by their original concepts. I also don't necessarily rate them as heroes either. Scott Baker Scott Baker
  19. Re: Modern Age vs Silver Age I happen to like the escapism of the Silver Age. But I dont' mind mixing in a little bit of gray-area now and again. Curently though, I'm really feeling the need for Pulp and Golden Age. Scott Baker
  20. Re: Modern Age vs Silver Age Indeed. Scott Baker
  21. Re: Thread Concept...? I agree with OddHat. There are lots of creative people on these forums providing ideas about characters, etc. It would be great to see your ideas as well. Scott Baker
  22. Re: UNTIL Super Powers Database I & II are darned useful What a great thread! George, along with everyone else, "Thank You," for helping start this obsession that is (now) the Hero system. I started with Champions shortly after it was first published, and haven't looked back since. As for the USPDs, I was initially skeptical, but have changed my mind. They're great as a reference, or to provide a starting point for a power. It's also great for someone like my wife who has never played Hero and is trying to make the leap from other systems character generation. Scott Baker
