My wife and I had a serious discussion today because she woke up this morning to find the fridge full of stir fry. Apparently I've been sleep wokking. 

I meant The Incredibles is the best Fantastic Four film in the same sense that Galaxy Quest is the best Star Trek film.
 

My daughter pointed out that Netflix is carrying the first two seasons of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.  We had watched many an episode together when she was just a kid, so I binge watched it for nostalgia.  I enjoyed it a lot.  Loved Gordy, the janitor -- I also had enjoyed seeing that actor in both Veronica Mars and iZombie.

My wife said she would leave me if I gave our newborn daughter a weird name...
 
...so I called her Bluff.

My wife and I laugh at how competitive we are.
 
But I laugh more.

Context: I'd been using a text-to-image generator based on machine learning called Midjourney. Someone asked to see "Mulder and Scully in the style of Gary Larson". Midjourney failed. Badly. 
 
It failed at every comic strip artist I could think of. But then I thought, what if I just entered "Mulder and Scully as a newspaper comic"
"Why do you look at my neck like that Agent Mulder? I assure you I am a normal human agent like you."

 
I didn't say anything in the prompt about scully being a gray alien failing at its disguise. the bot came up with that on its own. And the comic is still pretty far from the style of a comic strip. At least it was funny.

15-ish years ago, Darren and I were the guests of honor at HeroCon in Baltimore.
They had a big table (or maybe even two) covered with books. As per the rules, whenever we'd finish running a game or speaking on a panel, we'd go up and grab a few books.
I saw one book under a few others that was written by a friend of mine from high school. It had a sticker on the front that said Autographed Copy. And the sticker was from a bookstore back in my hometown, 600 miles away.
I picked it up and looked inside to see the autograph, and it was autographed to me! Using my nickname from college. Couldn't have been any other New Wave Dave.
