  1. You characterized it as "because she wasn't nazi enough ". There's an inherent difference between "wasn't extreme enough" and "wasn't nazi enough ". The MSM article recognized there was a difference while you did not.
  2. I would guess it was a speedster with a yellow costume. But speedsters usually Zoom around too fast for me to even guess their identities.
  3. Toss out a character for us to look at.
  4. I'm not really up on the "why Cyberline was bad" storyline. But I agree: the government is likely to continue using Cyberline unless it's secretly a drug coming from Dr. Destroyer which allows him to control Primus agents at will. If it's just highly addictive and dangerous to the user, the government would re-label it and promise that the "new" formula has the kinks worked out of it and besides all the agents will be closely monitored both medically and in the field in the future. Then they'd go on with business as usual. The government isn't going to give up on having super-powered agents without having super-powered replacements ready to go. You'd have Special Forces operatives lining up around the block to get a drug which would give them superpowers for ten years of intense special ops even if the drug killed them afterward. Getting too old to function and having to go back to civilian life is a nightmare to too many of them for there to not be volunteers. You might get more of a two-tiered Avenger system with "those who can function in public as the 'hearts and minds' kind of operative" and "those who can only function as military assets". But I'm certain they could fill their ranks even with extreme Cyberline side effects.
  5. It's amazing how little human interaction I have when I leave the house. Self-serve gas stations and self-checkout stores. I don't even have to nod and smile at people as I walk by them if I don't feel up to it.
  6. Thanks for the link. It doesn't support the point which you attempted to make.
  7. Ex-Obama campaign manager Jim Messina: Sanders can't beat Trump https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/439397-ex-obama-campaign-manager-sanders-cant-beat-trump He says Sanders is well-positioned to win the Democrat primary but he can't make a valid economic argument against Trump with swing voters due to the good economy. Don't know if I agree with Messina on that point....
  8. Geez, I was still typing that when you posted it. Damn these slow fingers!
  9. Can I have a link to a news article from the mainstream media which says exactly what you just tried to pass off as being the truth?
  10. The "Obama is a Nazi" thing came about because the Democrats had tried to make a meme out of "BUSHITLER" at rallies and protests over the previous 8 years. I think there's a lot of Democrat activists who wish they'd saved the "he's Hitler" charge for the current president so that the charge wouldn't be dismissed as "oh, they say that about every Republican president".
  11. I think this guy captured exactly why most other heroes didn't take Blue Beetle seriously.
  12. Well, he is a director. Every director would rather not deal with an actor who doesn't want to be there. *cough* Harrison Ford *cough*

  15. Just goes to show that some dogs will do anything to get away from an Asian kitchen. ...too soon?
  16. I don't remember any of the character's names. But then I thought the whole movie was forgettable. Flaws I remember: 1) There was nothing happening on the planet that was worth the Empire blowing up the planet/continent/whatever with their extensive research facility, scientist, fighter base, infantry, AT-AT Walkers, etc. still on it. 2) I would have preferred for them to save the "Rogue One" name for a potential Rogue Squadron and/or Wraith Squadron movie/series. There was zero reason to use that title rather than something else. I did really like the tropical resort planet. It was a nice change of pace from the desert planet, the forest moon, the city planet, and the sponge planet.
  17. In the Extended Universe, he was well known for two things: 1) having mastered the Shatterpoint. That wasn't a well-known technique and almost no one could learn it. But it wasn't dark. 2) He learned the seventh style lightsaber combat in addition to the 6 established ones which were still being taught. The seventh form was being encouraged by most Masters to die out because it required a very intense level of focus by the user and was very ferocious (it was the style employed by Darth Maul in the movies). If the user lost his internal focus, he could easily fall to the Dark Side. The technique was considered extremely dangerous to the user, but not necessarily dark in and of itself. Windu's teacher, a Jedi Master himself, fell to the Dark SIde through using the technique. Yet Windu, after becoming a Master himself, taught it to his own Padawan. Go figure. The seventh style was known as "Juyo, the Way of the Vornskyr" and the "Ferocity Form". Windu personally referred to it as "Vaapad". I'm not sure if that was an official name or a word from Windu's native planet.
  18. For those who don't remember, Weld was the VP nominee for the Libertarian Party in 2016. Before that he was governor of Massachusetts from 1991-1997. As happy as I am to see anyone else in the Republican primary, Weld isn't going to be a serious contender. He hasn't held elected office in 22 years. He doesn't have a donor base and he's not particularly popular (or known) even in the parts of the party which detests Trump. However as near as anyone can tell, Weld is still on good terms with George W Bush from his time working in Bush's 2004 re-election campaign. So I guess it's marginally possible that the Bush's will work behind the scenes to help the Weld campaign if a more credible candidate doesn't get into the race. The Bush's combined do have an extensive donor base nationwide and a very strong political base in both TX and FL. If nothing else, they might quietly give him a few pointers and introduce him to a few people. Weld is pro-choice and pro-gay rights which isn't going to bother the Bush's at all. But Weld has been for the legalization of marijuana and in 2018 joined the board of company which cultivates, processes, and dispenses cannabis in 11 US states. That, on the other hand, is something the Bush's would have trouble getting behind because they have Jeb still wanting to run for president after Trump is done and George P Bush wanting to eventually run for governor of Texas then president. I think the better hope for the Not-Trump candidate would come through Bill Kristol's moderate-to-liberal establishment Republican "Never Trump" group (aka the ones who gave the rest of us NeverTrumpers a bad name in 2016). I'm not particularly thrilled with their version of running the country or of running a presidential campaign. But at least this time around, unlike after the Republican convention in 2016 when they tried to get an independent to run against both Trump and Hillary, they've got enough time to actually try to recruit someone with an impressive political resume' and set up a nationwide campaign structure.

  21. Man suing parents for $86K for throwing out his porn collection https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/439034-man-suing-parents-for-86k-for-throwing-out-his-porn-collection I'm not sympathetic to the subject matter of what the parents threw away. But this story brought up some very bitter memories of my own and I'm too furious at the moment to write about my own experiences. (Note the plural.)
  22. That's being insulting to pathetic losers everywhere.
  23. A very simplistic way to put in "saving throws" for that one race is to required purchasing the 10 point immune to all poisons but have it activate on 11 or less. For more granularity, I suppose weak poisons could be at 14-, medium poisons at 11-, and saves for strong poisons at 8- and package that together at the same cost as the 11- for everything would be.
