  1. Re: [Campaign] The Black Watch Have you thought of an online game?
  2. Re: [Campaign] The Black Watch Has anything more happened with the Black Watch? It was a fun campaign to read. Of course, any write up by teh bunneh is a must-read.
  3. Re: Weekend Warriors -- Campaign Log I'm looking forward to the WW Reunion. How do things look?
  4. Re: [Campaign] DEFENDERS CONGREGATE!! The great citadel is bare, stripped of everything not bolted or welded. The walls are a riot of color, as taggers try to outdo one another with the bravado in daring to desecrate this once great edifice. My steps echo in the massive room, as I visit once again, hoping that this time, those paragons of virtue have returned to their home. And once again, it is empty.
  5. Re: [Campaign] The Fearless Monster Hunters Thanks bunneh! Keep up the great work!

  8. Re: "Neat" Pictures I wonder if he had a reason to make the kid zombies more nimble? Maybe there were still some stem cells that mutated with the zombification and offered enhanced capabilities?
  9. Re: [Campaign] The Fearless Monster Hunters Cool! Thanks for another exciting update!
  10. Re: [Campaign] The Fearless Monster Hunters Thanks for the updates! I'll be waiting for the next installment.
  11. Re: Idle Distraction: Super Webcomics It's helpful to include links so we don't have to take the extra step to google it.
  12. Re: Soviet Superheroes Don't forget the Ape-man's diving helmet
  13. Re: [Campaign] The Fearless Monster Hunters Cool stuff! Thanks for the update.
  14. Re: Plot Seeds from Unreal Life I had a dream, years ago, that was very cinematic and vivid enough that it has continued to stick with me all this time. In short: A cave with ancient bones and artifacts was discovered in Colorado while a company was starting construction on a resort. I was asked to help with the dig by a former professor. We discovered one misshapen skeleton, some pottery, and highly unusual artifacts: what looked like an early katana, and a what appeared to be an engraved shotgun that ejected shells by twisting instead of pump action, both in pristine condition. We discovered that despite what looked like wood on the artifacts, we couldn't get a sample for carbon dating, it was too resilient and resisted all instruments. The bones, however, were dated to over 14,000 years old, pre-Clovis. I went to reinspect the skeleton, and when I touched the skull I had a vision -- a dream within a dream -- of two figures fighting in the cave, a misshapen woman with the gun and a tall, thin, almost skeletal man with the katana, and the woman won, forcing the man into the sword body and soul. Then I went back to the other dream, and my professor was "waking me up", but had cut himself on the sword when I fainted. Soon, he exhibited strange personality quirks, while I heard mysterious voices. It turned out that the man in the sword was taking over the professor, while the woman had transferred some of her power to me. I developed a gryphon tattoo on each forearm, while the professor started creating zombie minions. I could use a form of magic, while anyone killed with the katana would rise as a nearly mindless, enormously strong undead, and anyone injured would become a less strong, but more cunning form of undead, almost vampiric, both types controlled by the professor. The dream ended in Denver, with me trying to save a crew of paramedics from a group of zombies.
  15. Re: Soviet Superheroes Is there magic in your campaign world? You could go for a folk witch, or maybe someone who stole or inherited magical items (you can look to Baba Yaga for inspiration)
  16. Re: "Neat" Pictures I can second that, which is one reason I was thinking about the impact of the super-muscled Kodiaks. I grew up in Montana, and I can tell you, even sitting in a sturdy pickup truck, when a grizzly bear (about 2 feet _shorter_ than a Kodiak) rambles out of the brush along side the road some thirty feet away and rears up, I was floored. There was a moment of "That could kill me so easily.." Fortunately, it wasn't really interested in us, it was just a female protecting her cubs, so once they zipped across the road, mama bear dropped down and wandered after them.
  17. Re: The Old Guard You could look at "The Adventures of Baron Muchausen" for some ideas. Besides being a lot of fun, it had some ideas for aging mythic heros.
  18. Re: [Campaign] The Fearless Monster Hunters Ooo...a cliffhanger in the classic tradition!
  19. Re: "Neat" Pictures That's one beefy bull. I wonder if the genetic condition causes the meat to be tough? Otherwise, I'd think this would be a desired condition for ranchers, to get the most beef per head.
  20. Re: "Neat" Pictures Actually, I think the Liger already has a similar condition, in that it doesn't have the gene to tell its body to stop growing. I don't know if it could get the double-muscled genetic condition as well. If so, then that would be a massive creature, as male Ligers can already weigh over 1000 pounds. (Wiki)
  21. Re: "Neat" Pictures I'd imagine. Bulls can get huge as it is, one with this condition must have looked monstrous. Of course, now I wonder if Grizzly bears or Kodiaks can get this condition so I can use one in a game.
  22. Re: Who would be the Super Heroes of your region? My home state of Montana has just shy of a million people, so it may not have a superhero at all. If it did, it would be the Freeman. A minor brick with incredible defenses and various life supports, he's eco-warrior with a distrust of the Federal government who evaded the authorities after attempting to secede from the union. Now a fugitive, he roams around the state halting or helping both mining and logging operations according to his own, mysterious code of ethics.
  23. Re: "Neat" Pictures I heard about that dog, she has a genetic disorder that means her body doesn't know when to stop muscle growth. Let's see what I can turn up... Here we go. Here's a link to the article, and here is a snippet:
