2. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares The Frog Prince of Innsmouth
3. Re: ADVANCED PLAYER'S GUIDE II -- What Do *You* Want To See? Probably not so much "what it can and can't do," as guidelines (regardless of genre) regarding opportunities and limits that the GM could/should declare. It could be a sort of "how-to" on drawing a clearer line between "what you can do with money" and "what you have to pay points for."

5. Re: ADVANCED PLAYER'S GUIDE II -- What Do *You* Want To See? Actually it might not hurt to put new rules from other 6E books into APG2, just so those parts are all in one place.
6. Re: Can a Robot own a corporation? There have been cats at the top of corporate ownership -- eccentric businesspeople leave their possessions to their pets in their wills. The holdings are put in a trust fund, and someone manages it on the cat's behalf. This, at least, sets a precedent that an AI can follow. Presumably the AI would manage the trust fund itself. The model would technically be somewhere between a human in charge and a cat in charge, though how close it is to one rather than the other would depend on a number of factors -- not the least of which is the legal system's view of AI and personhood (and, in the modern-day real world, there is no such opinion as yet).
7. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares It looks more like a mashup of Spider-Man with Leonard' date=' Part 6[/i'].
8. Re: ADVANCED PLAYER'S GUIDE II -- What Do *You* Want To See? A thought on "excessive" Complications (that is, those beyond the stated limit, or those gained in play): perhaps, instead of the choice between having more Character points than the GM wants to allow or taking Complications for no value, a character could have Complications worth Heroic Action Points -- say, +1 HAP per game session for every 5 CPs the Complications would otherwise be worth. Anyway, it's an option worth thinking about.

10. I've found that doing a screen capture while in the costume creator, whether a hero's or a Nemesis', makes a rather nice-looking wallpaper (or at least a good start at one). Red Streak's Nemesis, Master Disaster, demonstrates:
11. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Why do you want to roll Kato?
12. Re: Any word on the Hideouts? Personally I want to see what the Mom's Basement and the Cave look like.
13. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Here's something that might eventually appear in a future Realm Hunter novel (if the series continues past two books): Cavemen in Black
14. Re: Personal Companion Bots. and a months long voyage.... Personally I like to call these things "Concubots." And if I (or a character of my creation) were to have one, it would also have some basic housekeeping, nursing, and secretarial skills. But they want them. That's why they keep saying "Rib it."
15. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Or Eugene, Oregon.
16. Re: Any word on the Hideouts? Based on what I saw in the April Q&A, I'd say they're for individual characters and not for Supergroups. I'd like to see both, but that's the impression I get. (I'm personally hoping we can put Crafting tables and Nemesis terminals in our Hideouts.)
17. Re: Idea to art by Storn. Year 8 All righty, then. This character will be introduced in Realm Hunter: Pursuit of the Elder Gods, which I'm currently expecting to be available by Memorial Day. Agent Wu Mei-Zhen of the Science Authority comes from a world where highly advanced technology and highly advanced magic exist side by side. Like most people in her society, her ancestry is predominantly Chinese with a smattering of other races. She has had three surgeries that markedly alter her appearance. First, she had her eyes redone so they look like a cat's (just the irises). Second, she had an ampulla of Lorenzini (an electrosense organ) implanted in her forehead, giving a chevron-shaped ridge there. Third, she had an extra pair of arms vat-grown and attached, with a special molding of the required shoulder structure. On the job, she dresses in a simple black pantsuit with a white shirt and simple tie. (Think of Agent L from Men in Black.) While her personal weapon of choice is a pistol-like sonic weapon, her more iconic weapon more closely resembles a lightsaber. (If you've ever seen Michio Kaku's Sci-Fi Science, the basic design should be like the one he worked out on that show -- the significant part being that the "business end" tapers to a near-point.) EDIT: Whichever weapon type she uses, she has one in each of her four hands. For the illo I think it would be cooler to give her four lightsabers.
18. Re: Idea to art by Storn. Year 8 Aw' date=' bummer. What, the four-armed lady? She's not really a Champions character. But I can post her description here anyway if you'd like.
19. Re: Idea to art by Storn. Year 8 Just a note: I'm constantly correcting and refining Master Disaster's costume (I'll be doing a little more on that later this morning, in fact), so if he's chosen (for this or anything else) I'll post whatever's the most recent.
20. Re: Idea to art by Storn. Year 8 My main Champions Online hero is Red Streak, a fast-runner who, instead of fighting crime with fists like most speedsters, does it with a small arsenal of guns. (She's my second character there; I haven't been playing much of the first.) Just today I created her first Nemesis, Master Disaster. He's a brilliant inventor, and a lunatic who likes to cause calamities of all sorts -- earthquakes, fires, nuclear power plant meltdowns, and what have you. (I couldn't make the costume quite as over-the-top as I'd hoped, but you get the general idea.)
21. Re: What do you really think of Champions Online?
22. Re: What do you really think of Champions Online? Maybe it has to do with the fact that this is my first-ever experience with an MMO, but I've been playing for the last couple of weeks and I'm finding it quite enjoyable. I'm not saying it's without flaws. Some of it has to do with the system I'm using, which is just a low-end netbook; I have a lot of lag, especially if there's a lot of activity going on nearby, and it accumulates. Graphics limitations also mean that I can only turn in increments of 45, 60, or 90 degrees, depending on the location (at least, I believe the limitation is at my end; I've seen videos with smoother turns). That's especially bad when trying to move long distances, as neither of the characters I have can fly and much of the landscape tends to twist, turn, and be filled with obstacles. Thus, most of the time I have to leave my Travel Power off. As to content complaints, I see little benefit in using an Archetype rather than a Freeform (higher starting Characteristics is about it). I'd really like to be able to go into more parts of Millennium City, and will probably feel the same about Vibora Bay when I get there. In some areas I've been finding it harder to go from the Contact to the Mission than to carry out the Mission itself. And I'm not the only person who's experienced key commands going into the chat box, or vice versa, with disastrous results. But still, it's fun enough to me that I'm seriously considering becoming a subscriber once I'm able to get a computer upgrade, and for now the best birthday present I can think of (I'm turning 50 next month) is Atari tokens.
23. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Good catch, DusterBoy. For some reason I thought she was supposed to be Viperia's counterpart in the Santa Claus mythos.
24. Re: ADVANCED PLAYER'S GUIDE II -- What Do *You* Want To See? I think (re: the "No Parking Zone") that we're getting into territory that is unhelpful to Steve.
