Re: Top 10 #2: You've heard he always follows up his handshakes with a big bearhug.

  4. Re: Tropes Revisited: Beautiful Female Martial Artist. Ideas sought Does anything so far particularly appeal to you, trib?
  5. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares It's the last two that I didn't get.

  7. Re: Mark Arsenault I'll PM it to you.
  8. Re: Tropes Revisited: Beautiful Female Martial Artist. Ideas sought No, that was my own preference. The standard uniform seems to me a bit cliche'd. The outfit I suggested has been described by female cosplayers as the ideal outfit for a highly active superheroine, for purposes of comfort as well as style. I also liked how Basura looked in the second season of Who Wants to Be a Superhero?, so I thought, why not?
  9. Re: Tropes Revisited: Beautiful Female Martial Artist. Ideas sought When I think of "beautiful female martial artist," for some reason I picture a Chinese woman with hip-length white hair. For a costume that is neither bikini nor classic martial arts "uniform," I'd suggest tight leather pants and a halter top, both black.
  10. Re: A complete character: discussion and stats from scratch for Champions I like Pizza Man's take -- it's pretty close to my initial thought.
  11. Re: PC that can see death on people Personally I'd model both with Detect.
  12. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares I need to spread more rep around....
  13. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares This one was actually posted before. The original show is Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Cardassians are aliens on Star Trek (mostly DS9).

  16. Re: Alternate Marvel Universe A little more like (with a quick consult on Doc Ock's Wikipedia entry): Otto Octavius was the man bitten by the radioactive (and/or genetically engineered) spider, and who developed massive strength and the ability to stick to walls. He initially used his powers to rescue his wife, Mary Alice, from criminals who had kidnapped her as leverage to obtain his scientific secrets. Later, at her urging, he adopted a superhero persona, The Spider, building a special harness to give himself four extra limbs in true arachnid fashion.
  17. Re: Alternate Marvel Universe I was thinking of writing that one up for Otto Octavius.
  18. Re: Help Poplulate: Pirate Ship edition His name is Arthur Kennedy. He's tall and almost inhumanly slim, and wears a patch over most of the very nasty scar where his left eye used to be. His remaining eye has very excellent night vision, so the captain has given him the duty of manning the helm during the darkest part of the night. In that capacity he has shown better skill than many other helmsmen have shown during the day. During raids, he has also demonstrated reasonable skill with both cutlass and flintlock. While the captain addresses him as Mister Kennedy, most of the crew refer to him as the Midnight Helmsman, and a couple of them have even made up a drinking song in his honor.
  19. Re: STAR HERO Reading List Actually it was for Steve, but you're more than welcome to take a look. There's a link in my sig for it (click on the words "Realm Hunter").
  20. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Now, this one (from Ziggy) is really scary:
  21. Re: Remote control vehicles? I'm pretty sure he meant it the way he said it -- not the Transmit Adder, but the transmitter. You know, that device the operator holds to tell the vehicle what to do.
  22. Re: Alternate Marvel Universe I kind of see the Knight of Justice as a cross between Iron Man and Punisher (with just a little Batman thrown in for flavor).
  23. Re: STAR HERO Reading List You could also get Realm Hunter: Pursuit of the Silver Dirk. I hear it's really good.
  24. Re: Remote control vehicles? Putting this together for The Ultimate Vehicle, I chose to go with a Computer (not AI) with a Mind Link device to give instructions.
