  1. Re: Class of the Titans Anybody got stats for the Hephestaus Whip? Needless to say, many of my martial arts characters [and one of my gadgeteers] want one.
  2. Re: Titles for your character Pan, child of darkness (vampire lord with a 10-year-old's body) I like this concept, I wish to borrow it for any possible future games that I run. May I have permission to do so?
  3. Re: Class of the Titans Or Herry was simply feeling a bit under the weather that day, or perhaps was bruised a bit from the earlier fight thus causing the difficulty with the dumptruck.
  4. Re: Class of the Titans [/b]He's about STR 35. 40 at most. He had to strain hard to lift one end of a loaded dump truck. True, however in another episode he was flinging huge boulders at a monster with no apparent difficulty at all.
  5. Re: Class of the Titans I'm still trying to decide just what Neil brings to the table beyond a warm body to distract the villains with. From what I've seen his more useful for carrying stuff others on the team occassionally use to help with the mission at hand [such as when Theresa used one of Neil's nail files to free them from some tangling vines.]

  7. Re: Pimp my Superhero Ride (Crosspost from Pulp Hero) Lastly, for the Hero on a budget, we have the new import from Germany, the Volkswagon Bubble. While it isn't as powerful or well equipped as some of our other offerings, the Bubble makes up for it with simple, sturdy construction, excellent visibility, and a low starting sticker price. All of that and it gets the unheard of gas mileage of 24 miles to the gallon!!! OMG! It's....THE JUSTICE BUG!!
  8. Re: In honor of PotC: Dead Man's Chest....
  9. Re: In honor of PotC: Dead Man's Chest.... If there are stats for them in that book I MIGHT have to dig up that sourcebook again. Unless of course the stats for them are in Evil Unleashed.
  10. Re: Input on a bunch of bad guys?
  11. Re: In honor of PotC: Dead Man's Chest.... -What is the limit of Davy's power to bind your soul to his crew? How much 'oomph' would it have if a dedicated mystic tried to undo the curse? I'd say unless the dedicated mystic was on the level of a Dr. Strange or Dr. Fate, they'd probably be better off not trying. Unless the third movie says otherwise, I'm guessing the curse is something only mystics on that level have a hope of countering.
  12. Re: In honor of PotC: Dead Man's Chest.... I find myself REALLY wanting a write up for Davey Jones and the Krakan, as well as the Flying Dutchman itself. What a perfect baddy to throw against those mystic types, or water based characters. I wonder what the folks down in Atlantis would think of these two?
  13. Re: Ravenswood Academy Yearbook Any idea when the rest of the character sheets will be up for the Ravenswood kids?
  14. Re: Things I Have Learned Playing a Hard Boiled Detective "The drink packed a whallop, I carried a piece. I'm a private eye."
  15. Re: Turakian Age: Changing the Future I always thought that the reason Kal-Turak didn't obliterate all who opposed him and keep on obliterating them untill people were too broken down to want to resist, was because he was that he was trying to extend his influence to the rest of the galaxy. Y'know, he was busy coveting the whole universe and thus not paying attention when the heroes showed up with Auriala to do him in.
  16. Re: Shazam! Well that's certainly one way of looking at it Golden Age. Myself I see Caligula and can't help thinking that this guy makes the Joker look rational by comparison. Especially when a minor change in name could provide the megalomania with more stable personalities. He could be IBAR with the abilities of Ramses for example. Or IBAV with Vlad Tepes filling in the final slot. Or IBAQ, with Qin the first emporer of China filling in the final spot. See what I'm getting at?
  17. Re: Shazam! I agree with you about SABBAC. With his power sources he ought to be an uber nasty villain that gives Superman nightmares. Of course, when you think about it Captain Marvel himself should be considerably more powerful then he is often portrayed. The Wisdom of Solomon and Power of Zeus alone should make him considerably more then just a second rate Superman, as some seem to think of him. As for IBAC, I think the guy got screwed over in more ways then one. Even if he was portrayed with all the proper abilities his power sources would give him, he would still not be as powerful as Captain Marvel. The strength of four men just doesn't compare with that of Hercules after all, plus only three of the guy's sources are really usefull. Sure you have two of the most dangerous military leaders of the ancient and medival worlds plus a world class schemer in Borgia, but Caligula was just nuts. That last letter would need to be replaced I think, in any updating of IBAC's powers.
  18. Re: Shazam! Rather amusing that the character originally created to fight the sidekick was more powerful [technically speaking] then the villain for the main hero, going by thier acronym.
  19. Re: Turakian Age Question. One thing I hadn't thought of earlier Starwolf. The Thunese are doing thier best to free an Elder Worm [possibly more then one] from captivity. Surely this can't be anything but bad for Kal-Turak's plans of conquest?
  20. So what if Kal-Turak and Thun went to war? It seems something that's likely to happen, since Kal-Turak is all about ruling everything and Thun seems to have made it clear that they want no part of him. So just how nasty does this particular conflict get? It seems to me that if the good guys could instigate such a conflict, it could conceivably give them much more time to prepare themselves for Kal-Turak.
  21. Re: How would you use Takofanes? Oh now THIS is an idea that I like. Takofanes' mind is trying to reunite with his body so that he can become all powerful again, with hardly anybody truly realising the danger that they are in due to that creepy little kid that always seems to be following Takofanes' rampages. Of course the ones who do realise it are trying to off the kid post haste and overlooking little details, like informing the heroes of the dangers the kid poses and providing proof. The scarier part perhaps are the people who don't want him dead. I could easily see Archimago, trapped on the Hellrock in another dimension [as he is in my campaign] manipulating the kid for his own ends. Of course instead of reuniting the mind of Takofanes with it's body, Archimago plans to steal the Mind for himself in the hopes of stealing Takofanes' mighty magical knowledge for himself!
