  1. Re: Powerpuff Girls Bubbles I belive has also got a sonic scream as well, and may be more powerful then her sisters due to being the favourite of the show's creators.
  2. Re: You know your PCs have an Image Problem if... The Elder Gods worship your team as the superior evil.
  3. Re: Power Build: Super Archery Or you could have your character do a spread maneuver with the RKA and explain it by saying he's firing more then one arrow off the same string.
  4. Re: Your "2006" Pet Gaming Projects Probably gonna try and get my as yet unnamed Pulp HERO campaign up and running. I have some ideas I want to try, but no overreaching storyline as of yet. If it runs long enough it might morph into a Golden Age game though.

    Pulparize It!

Re: Pulparize It! Forgot to mention. In one episode Jade used the Tiger Talisman to track the air demon after he tricked her. It would require the person tracked to have part of something you have the other part of [for example, Jade had one half of a medallion, the demon the other.]

    Pulparize It!

Re: Pulparize It! True enough Fenris. After all, it's quite easy to use the talismans to replicate most of Superman's power suite. Ox for Strength, Rabbit and Rooster give flight and superspeed. Immortality and Horse can substitute for Invulnerabilty somewhat and of course, the Pig is heat vision. Or you can just find a rack of Superman action figures and use the Rat talisman.

    Pulparize It!

Re: Pulparize It! Your doc won't open JakSpade. It just keeps giving me some error about graphics converters and such, then won't continue opening the document. Might be a problem only for me though. From memory however: Dragon Talisman was combustion, the person holding it could shoot bursts of flame. Pig Talisman: Heat beam eyeblasts. Essentially heat vision like Superman. Rooster was levitation. Rabbit was speed. When combined with the Rooster Talisman it gave true flight. Dog was immortality. Horse was healing. Ox was strength. Snake was invisibility. Sheep was astral projection, which also let the person using it enter the dreams of sleeping people. Rat was motion to the motionless. Basically it brought inanimate objects to life. Could theoretically allow quadrapalegics or parapeligics to walk again [the limbs in question ARE motionless after all] but that was not addressed on the show. Monkey talisman turned people into animals. Tiger was balance. As I recall, the duplication effect only happened when the talisman was broken.
  8. Re: Anyone here find a use for Takofanes yet? I had an idea or two for Takofanes. One was a plot seed somebody wrote up involving the Devil's Advocates where they steal Turakian Age artifacts from the past. That scenario would result in Takofanes teaming up with himself in the past and the PC's having to team up with the Turakian Age heroes [ideally also PCs if I run a Fantasy game] to defeat them. The other involves Takofanes invading the Kingdom of Man, resulting in Takofanes vs Bugs Bunny.
  9. Re: Sick of Wolverine Yes I think that is what he's talking about Bloodstone. I did a little research and it seemed that Magik did return during House of M in the Scarlet Witch's alternate reality. Before the Scarlet Witch was defeated, Illyana teleported to Limbo causing fans to hope that Illyana might have survived. I know I'm hoping that cause I really liked Illyana's character.
  10. Re: Sick of Wolverine Illyana has only died once too my knowledge, and that was because of the Legacy Virus [which in my opinion should've been a snap for the various Marvel superscientists to fix but that's a rant in and of itself]. This death happened in the ninetys just after X-cutioner's Song if I'm not mistaken. I do recall reading that Cannonball went to the funeral. Previous to that of course she'd been kidnapped by Belasco, artificially aged in Limbo, turned into a part demon, helped the X-Men defeat Belasco to become ruler of Limbo, been part of the New Mutants, lost Limbo to S'ym, and de-aged back to her normal age after the Inferno storyline was over. However, she hadn't died previous to the death I remember, to my knowledge.
  11. Re: New Avengers Bleh! Glad I never started collecting that comic. I thought thier portrayal in the team up with the Thunderbolts was bad.
  12. Re: Sick of Wolverine I'm almost certain the name of Magik was taken up again in a limited series and that Illyana's Soulsword and possibly other powers were passed on to Amanda Sefton somehow.
  13. Re: New Avengers Ugg, did he bring in an uber powerful character nobody's ever heard of that claim's to be thier very worst enemy and have the FF inexplicably reacted in terror of despite not knowing who the hell he was? Yeah, I couldn't stand Morlun.
  14. Re: Sick of Wolverine I missed that issue of Astonishing X-Men. I think it had something to do with SHIELD or whichever bad guy they were fighting at the time. They might've cloned him or some such, but I couldn't tell ya for sure, I just know that he's very much alive.
  15. Re: Sick of Wolverine Collosus is alive but I'm pretty sure the current version of Magik is not Illyana Rasputin.
  16. Re: Sick of Wolverine For me, my feelings for Wolverine are the same as my feelings for Batman. In Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and Batman Begins, Batman is an awesome character who I really enjoy. The comicbook version however, really needs to be declared a super villain and pounded into the dirt. Likewise, in X-Men: Evolution and the original X-Men cartoon Wolverine and the movies, Wolverine is a great character that I loved to watch the adventures of. Sometimes in the comics he can still be that way, mostly however he needs to be forcibly retired for a decade or so.
  17. Re: Silver Age Villains? And then Dr. Octopus beats the ever loving snot out of Carnage, without taking so much as a scratch himself showing once again what a worthless waste of space Carnage is. Then salt is rubbed in the wound when the comic outsells any comic Carnage has ever been in, combined.
  18. Re: Lex Luthor's armor Am I the only one who's pissed off that they've turned Alex Luthor into a villain? I mean in Crisis on Infinite Earths he was the son of the Good Luthor from Earth 3, who rocketed his son to another dimension to escape the Anti-Monitor's antimatter wave. Like Superman before him he gets powers along the way and uses them to aid the heroes against the Anti-Monitor in order to save everything. Not only was he a good guy, but he was an excellent character that I was sad to see disappear after the Crisis was over. So what do they do with him in Infinite Crisis? Why they bring him back and make him a carbon copy of the evil Luthor we already have of course. What a waste of a good character.
  19. Re: WWYCD: The Safe Twilight doesn't really care. He's got more important things to do then to crack it open for a contest, no matter what might be in the case. Snapdragon really wouldn't care either, though she might give it a try if somebody goaded her into it. Being a brick however, she'd just tear the thing open. Solidago might try and crack open the case just to see if he could. For him it's a test of skill, nothing more. Red Rose wouldn't care. Morning Glory would be a similar case to Snapdragon, only he'd use an energy blast to get the safe open.
  20. Re: Slightly Less Powerful DNPCs in Champions Well I grant you, later in the show he did become Herc's follower but in the early seasons he needed rescuing by Herc more often then not. Perhaps Herc just had some extra XP on hand and paid the points to make it happen?
  21. Re: Slightly Less Powerful DNPCs in Champions A good example of a slightly less powerful DNPC in my opinion, would be Iolaus from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He's no slouch in combat and has in fact handled himself well in fights on his own, however compared to Herc himself he's clearly on a lesser strata, competence wise.
  22. Re: Theme Super Hero Teams
  23. Re: I could watch him get slapped around all day So how many people were overjoyed when Wolverine got one punched through a wall by an eleven year old in Runaways? "Only 198 mutants left in the world and she hadda be one of em."
  24. Re: Theme Super Hero Teams A bit of thread necromancy here. I recently, with the help of a friend, thought up a superhero team with a flower theme. The team was led by Bird of Paradise, who had pheromonal powers and super charisma [aside from being hot naturally of course]. Her second in command was an uber prodigy, think Mr. Terrific, named Solidago. Snapdragon had superstrength and Red Rose had psionics. Morning Glory was the final member and he had light powers.
