That's correct.  It's not intended to be intimidating.  It's intended to be motivating.  
 

I've always had the impression it was intended as a "catchier" way of saying, "Give whatever you're doing everything you've got. If you're not willing to do that, you might as well leave."

And so the carousel kicks into high gear.  Fangio out yesterday;  today it's Zimmer and the Vikes GM (not surprising at all for both of em), Nagy (also figured)...and Brian Flores from the Dolphins.  Impatience?  10-6 then 9-8 with a team that has QB issues isn't that bad on the surface.
 
One change that should be made real soon:  designate Rich Bisaccia as the full time HC in Vegas.  They went 1-5 after the week 8 bye, but that was also right after Ruggs and Arnette threw their careers away.  Coming back to win 4 in a row, beating the Browns, Colts, and Chargers...all JUST missing the playoffs...that's impressive.  

Anyone else think that Chargers and Raiders should come out and kneel for 60 minutes so both make playoffs? knocking the Steelers out.

Toss-up as to which is hotter.

Just like Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home is fan service raised to the level of art. The character interactions and story arcs, the callbacks and Easter eggs, are used so smartly to enhance the overall story, rather than just for nostalgia appeal. The payoff is joyous for the people who know and love and have followed the various iterations of Spider-Man in comics and movies over the decades, but the film is still a fine story for people without that depth of familiarity. It stands on its own as a quality movie.

Actually, the books were out long before the video games AND the plots aren't the same. The makers of the games claim they are continuations. the series is actually just based on the books, spurred on, no doubt, by the popularity of the games.

It has been a while since my family got together due to the pandemic, but old sibling rivalries die hard.  Over dinner my sister who is married was noticing my unwed sister had gotten some new ink, which she feels is a bad influence on her kids.
"Three new tattoos?  Those are pretty permanent you know."
"Yeah, well three kids is pretty permanent too." my younger sister shot back.
There was a moment of tense silence before my 7 year-old son piped up "Technically, both can be removed with lasers."

I don't think anyone here can relate to this, though... 

Whilst on winter break in Colorado, we got to see Sing 2 in the theater. It was a rare example of a sequel that is better than the original. 

I first watched Neverending Story when I was in my 30s, so I suspect that the scene had less of an impact on me.
 
Up, on the other hand, came out the year that my wife passed away, so watching the opening sequence triggers a mixture of joy, melancholy, and sadness whenever I watch it.
