  3. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) I didn't realize there was any other way to play Champions..?
  4. Re: What the well-dressed native princess is wearing.... There's a reason most bras and bikini tops are elastic. Even if you got it to fit, you'd have to get a metalsmith to retailor it every other day. On the other hand, it would probably work wonders with a girl's posture.
  5. Re: "Back when I started playing Champions...." Back when I started playing Champions, we tracked points with tick marks instead of numerals. The reason we had fewer points is because we couldn't fit any more on the character sheet.
  6. Re: Amazing Lightsaber Duel That was very well done!
  7. Re: Walking with Dinosaurs: Buidling Mechanical Dinos I meant the making of the live show with those animatronic dinos.
  8. Re: Golden Age Resources No links handy but I'll poke around my old stuff when I have time. I've always thought the Phantom Corsair was the quintessential cool car. Somebody ought to make kits for that thing.
  9. Re: Walking with Dinosaurs: Buidling Mechanical Dinos I have always wondered why realistically-moving creature models have never really been accomplished before. Those things are beautiful. I hope the show comes to the states someday. Surely there must be a documentary about the making of the show. Wonder if it'll hit the Discovery Channel?
  10. Re: Golden Age Resources That's a wicked little plane!
  11. Re: Kung Fu Schoolgirl minis Hey, I didn't sculpt the teenage Kung Fu wedgies. Talk to the Japanese; it's their deal. (Never mind... a little too tasteless...)
  12. Re: Kung Fu Schoolgirl minis I can't imagine painting the plaid on those skirts. Think of how many strokes it would take to finish.
  13. Re: Failure and the PCs The only time the PCs didn't win in the end was if for some reason we didn't reach the end. However, if/when I start running again, I will do what I can to encourage my players to accept temporary defeat more gracefully. For a genre where "trap/gloat/explain master plan" is the norm, I'm always amazed at how violently players hate their characters to get captured.
  14. Re: Interesting Aircraft: Dornier 335 Pfeil I think Lucius has one of these.
  15. Re: Muppet Champions Astounding First Issue! Don't miss the comic event felt 'round the world: The Misavengers Earth's Flightiest Heroes! featuring Kermit Rogers aka "Skipper" America Janet Van Swyne aka the Fulsome Firefly Fore, the Bear of Thunder Gonzo Spark aka the Iron Janice "Wanda" Mentional aka the Starlet Witch Zoot aka the Double Vision Pepe Pym aka the Admonishing Shrimp-Man as they battle such terrible arch-villains as Count Numeria Bert the Conqueror the inescapable Eltron with Sam "Jarvis" Eagle as the Butler and Statlu & Ualdorf aka the Watchers
  16. Re: Muppet Champions Campaign Concept: Muppets Take Marvel
  17. Re: Muppet Champions The Muppet Show, with the usual possibility of cameos from Sesame Street.
  18. Someone asks you to run a Muppet Champions game. What do you do?
  19. Re: [Warming Rant] GM feeling uninspired When I used to run games, I'd get burnout too. I could always keep running anyway, but I realized that when the magic is gone, continuing to push through is mostly counterproductive. Best to switch genres or groups for awhile, or just take time off from gaming.
  20. Re: SciFi.com Drive In Man, those are some good ones! I'm a sucker for B movies, not to mention the classics in there.
  21. Re: Japanese ghost town That's awesome.
  22. Re: The Art of Robert McCall I never realized the Equalizer painted all those! The guy's practically a legend.
  23. Re: "Neat" Pictures Man, I thought it was a RealDoll at first.
