  1. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore It's not that big a leap. Oil burns, penguins are oily, ergo penguins can fire the boiler.
  2. Re: Sell my friends on DCV The fact of the matter is, in real life, 99% of all bullets fired in combat of any sort (whether military, police, criminal gangs, etc) miss their target. If your players insist on realism, double or triple everyone's DCV. If they're willing to accept some level of cinematics, then use DCV as written.
  3. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore That's what Shackleton and his men lived on for quite a while. That, seal meat, and seaweed.
  4. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore No penguins?
  5. Re: Sell my friends on DCV If the gun is pointing at the character when the trigger is pulled, the character is extremely unlikely to be able to move out of the way of the bullet. DCV does not (generally) represent that ability, but rather the ability to make it more difficult for the shooter to point the gun at the character and pull the trigger at the same time. Ducking, weaving, and making oneself a small target can all accomplish this.
  6. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing There's a flowchart in the second post that explains it all quite neatly.
  7. Re: Adventure conversions for Valdorian Age Part four of the Savage Tide, Here There Be Monsters. Since this takes place in Oceanspast, basically, there's not a lot of replacements to be made. I did throw in a new Demon package, though.
  8. Re: 1970s-era Police Campaign Admiral C's remark about body armor got me wondering about it myself. Here's a pretty interesting article from Wikipedia (which, I know, is not a scientific source, but dammit, it's good enough for gaming).
  9. Re: "Neat" Pictures Ooh, almost forgot to post this one. Lego spaceship. Awesome. Just begs for a Star Hero game.
  10. Re: "Neat" Pictures Not a good day at the park. Plus, Marvel's reimagining Iron Man again.
  11. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore Words of wisdom. If only I had had such good advice as a young man.
  12. Re: ... I don't care if it had the Thing or not, a horse is not a Dude.
  13. Re: "Neat" Pictures Even French mores aren't so open as to allow that on the air.
  14. Re: "Neat" Pictures That was weird enough that I was half expecting to hear Japanese at the end, despite being told beforehand it was French.
  15. Re: Adventure conversions for Valdorian Age Part three of the Savage Tide, The Sea Wyvern's Wake.
  16. Re: Adventure conversions for Valdorian Age Part two of the Savage Tide, The Bullywug Gambit. Bullywugs optional.
  17. Re: "Neat" Pictures You tried it too, huh?
  18. Re: "Neat" Pictures Few men have access to enough of them... But I have to say there are too many geek-artists making too many dog, Predator, Dalek, what-have-you pics with big boobies. Hell, there are too many pics of girls with big boobies churned out by the geek population. Give it a rest.
  19. Re: "Neat" Pictures I believe the standard phrase is "You must be new; welcome to the Internet."
  20. Re: Hawt! There's no reason to believe that the ones in the movies aren't female already, and that the males aren't tiny, near-parasitic, worm-like things that attach themselves to the females' bodies. EDIT: Although if there's canonical information from somewhere besides the movies, I guess there is.
