  1. Re: Norse/Germanic Names Wiener slang hasn't stopped people in English speaking countries from naming their kids Dick, Willy, or Peter.
  2. Re: stock manipulator Does the number of targets matter? I'm not being snarky...like I said, my rulebook has been MIA for a while now. The rationale for Transform being that "if you can kill a guy, you might as well be able to turn him into something else", adding Area Effect makes it "if you can kill a bunch of guys, you might as well be able..."etc. The actual rulebook might say differently though, Idunno. Mutual funds, 401Ks, individual stock holdings, stock options, etc are all stock investors. It would Transform them all. Assuming, of course, that my build isn't screwed from the get-go.
  3. Re: stock manipulator I don't have my rule book handy (actually, I don't know where it disappeared to...), but IIRC, there are special rules for adding Powers, requiring Transform points over and above the base BODY. In this case the base BODY would be that of a normal human, since you're actually Transforming the stock investors themselves, to give or take away the Wealth perk.
  4. Re: stock manipulator Transform to increase Wealth, Area Effect, Megascale, only affects stock investors, plus a Transform to decrease Wealth, with the same modifiers. Put them in a Multipower together. Use the rules for adding Powers with Transform, so it takes a little more effort to move someone from Destitute to Filthy Rich than it does to move them from Destitute to Middle Class. EDIT: By the way, welcome to the game and to the forums.
  5. Re: Grond is up with podcast Menton's been out a while now...unless they changed him up again.
  6. Re: "Neat" Pictures "I THOUGHT THE COLD WAR WAS OVER!!!" Damn no-all-caps filter.
  7. Re: "Neat" Pictures Don't get too worked up. She wears a chastity belt too.
  8. Re: Setting Creation Help You weren't at last week's game, were you? Did you hear they let Marty get vamped?
  9. Re: Setting Creation Help I know a guy in Maryland who runs an urban fantasy game using the Angel RPG, but set in New York City. I could probably get you in touch with him if you want.
  10. Re: Cool Team Vehicle idea... "They said I was mad. MAD! I'll show them...I'll show them ALL!"
  11. Re: Adventure conversions for Valdorian Age Part five of the Savage Tide, Tides of Dread.
  12. Re: "Neat" Pictures Post-apoc battle tractor
  13. Re: "Neat" Pictures And now I've just spent hours playing puzzle games on Lego.com. My mouse hand is cramped.
  14. Re: "Neat" Pictures Those are friggin cool.
  15. Re: "Neat" Pictures A set? Are you kidding? This is $400, and it's a pale shadow of that guy's ship. Yeah, he designed it, and he obviously spent an insane amount of money on it. And I don't think I realized how much he must have spent until just now. He's a freakin' mental case, but he builds an awesome Lego spaceship. EDIT: Crap. I just went back to check and see if that site told how many bricks he used, and it doesn't. I figured that might be a way to guesstimate how much he spent on it...

  17. Re: Victorian Era, Mystery Driven, Paranormal Campaign… Help? That is an agreeably complex scenario, that shouldn't be too difficult to solve in play.
  18. Re: Can I post an adventure? For that matter, if published characters are used, they should be referenced the same way. Don't republish their stats, and if you want to alter them somehow, just list the changes, not the entire character.
  19. Re: Bestiary builds, what do monsters do with experience? Essentially, yeah. Don't get too caught up in using points to determine power levels, though. The points determine how effective a character/animal/monster is on a campaign-wide scale. Most of the time, though, you only use monsters for combat, and if they've spent most of their points on combat abilities, they will totally pwn PCs that spent a lot of points on non-combat stuff, assuming they have equal point values. For combat purposes, it's best to compare OCVs, DCVs, SPD scores, damage-dealing ability, and defenses.
  20. Re: Bestiary builds, what do monsters do with experience? Are you talking about the published character sheets for monsters? If that's the case, they're basically given free points so they can fit a certain power level without needing a bunch of aimless disadvantages...for example, disadvantages that don't make a dragon more dragonlike.
