Basil
Re: Name That Band Hero! Since I've "stumped the panel" with my last two (posts #130 and #131), I'll see if I can manage to a third time. The Confusers Steven the Holy --- Can call up demons, has a magic bow. Frequently said to be found with... Mary Rose --- Powers over growing things. Might possibly be a ghost. Monsieur Du Pree --- Jewel thief, specializing in diamonds. Charles --- gets his powers from the decay products of extremely-high-energy particles hitting the upper atmosphere. His main power is a Mind Control that confuses and bewilders people (he is the main confuser of "The Confusers"). For extra bonus points, name the single album these are all from. There's a hint about this last question in white text below. I'll put in a little spoiler space, too. Hint: ask our neighborhood's camel. AndrewD2
Re: Name That Band Hero! More, based on characters. Johnny --- Sound-based Images; prefers "Big Band Music" whenever he can get away with it. Mohammed --- Communications expert. Brother Billy --- Gun expert. Charlie --- Mind Control via drugs. The group is known as The EDYM ("Easily Disturbed Young Men). I'll take a shot and guess The Smashing Pumpkins

Haven't heard that in easily 13 years. The others might be from there too, but I can't remember.

That's Joe Satriani. The Extremist is one of my favorite instrumental rock albums of all time.
