Alric
After much waffling I'm finally posting about my webcomic "Heroes of Vibora Bay" based in the Champions Universe. I'm hesitant about posting it because I'm not entirely happy with it. I have learned quite a bit from creating it though. I still have a couple of pages to go on issue 1, then I hope to impliment some changes and improvements for the next issue. You can read what I've finished so far at: http://kd.dynip.com/WoE/web_comics.htm

red_eagle123
Re: My CU based webcomic I like it, I can only imagine how long it took to set that up. What program did you use to do all those renderings?
Alric
Re: My CU based webcomic The rendering was done using Poser6 and then I used Corel Draw to add the balloons and text.
assault
Re: My CU based webcomic After much waffling I'm finally posting about my webcomic "Heroes of Vibora Bay" based in the Champions Universe. My first thought: do you have permission from Hero Games to use their intellectual property? I can't actually look at the site at the moment, since I'm pushing my luck being here at the moment... Alric
Re: My CU based webcomic It looks good' date=' and I hope you get to finish it.[/quote'] I had to take a week off to work on another project. Now that the project is done I can get back to the comic. Issue 1 will be 12 pages long so I only have two more to go. I takes me around a week to do a page, Since I usually only have around an hour a day to work on it that averages out to one page per 8 hours, or one per working day. Now if I could only work on it full time...

The organization that the Bride was a part of in Kill Bill 1&2 was also a nod to the same source material.

Where can I find out more about it?[/quote']Fox Force Five was referenced by Uma Thurmans character in pulp fiction about a TV pilot she was in. t is also a reference to a Knight Rider spin-off that never took off.(alas...I fear it was the Ninjas in the pilot or the compound they raided in broad daylight....it was to progressive for the early 80's Knight Rider audience). gojira
Re: My CU based webcomic Yeah, very groovy. I can see the learning curve as the comic progresses, but all of it is far better than anything I could do. Thanks for sharing!

prodigyduck
Re: My CU based webcomic It is an interesting comic, and I like the story... I have problems with Mind Girl. Her motivation makes no sense. According to her brief bio, she is interested in using her powers and wealth to help others... but thinks that Sun Girl is low-life scum? That does not fit. If someone wants to help those less fortunate than themselves... they should be looking out for all. If she has a personal grudge against Sun Girl for one reason or another, that is one thing; but that does not seem to be the case.

If she has a personal grudge against Sun Girl for one reason or another, that is one thing; but that does not seem to be the case. You don't have to like someone to want to help them, like people who donate money to homeless charities but will cross the street if they see a homeless person aproaching them. Her attitude is more that it is the responsibility of the quality people to take care of the unwashed masses who can't do it for themselves, kind of a "Noblesse oblige". Of all the group members she is the most unlikeable, although when push comes to shove she is fully on the side of good. Her problems with Sun Girl start with SG being lower-class and are exacerbated by SG's take-no-crap attitude. In future stories I hope to explore their relationship.
