Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Here's my attempt at creating some of the Cowboy Bebop characters.

From left to right: Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Spike Spiegel, and Vicious.

What no Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV?

How do yuou actually download this program? I am able to get to a place on the website where I can create a character but nothing that matches the program in the tutorial. Nor can I save my creations!

Sorry, the language barrier is annoying me. Help would be MOST aprpeciated!

FYI, you can't download the program. You have to do your work on the website and then do a screen capture.

Self Portraits

Here's the Egyptoid and his Wonder Dog Noah.

Chief differences that the hero-criar cannot convey:

1. the extent of the hairiness of both the dog and his owner.

2. :bmk:the exquisite sheen of the nickel plated 38 revolver.

3. it has no option for "cargo pants"

4. salt-n-pepper is not one of the legal hair textures.

More Golden Age Heroes:

Links to articles of the characters provided when possible.

The Whisper

There were so many guys in suits wearing a mask and fighting crime that I just made one up to represent the whole bunch. I'm almost certain that the name has been used before, too.

After a bit of research I find I didn't miss by much:

The Whisperer (old time radio show).

First Version of Hero-O-Matic:http://rapidshare.com/files/11728994..._beta.zip.html

It's almost impossible to download with that wierd code input- it puts out some letters and numbers with a transparency of a cat in the letters and you're supposed to enter the 4 letters with the cat in it as opposed to another transparency. Can you link somewhere else?

Edit: never mind- I downloaded it but it won't open now!!!!!!

Just not in the mood

Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Still golden-age, but different ones (some of which weren't around until the Silver age or later):

I gave him a costume change. Like The Whisper above, CA started out as a guy in a suit and a mask, but eventually donned brightly-colored longjohns like any respectable superhero (spandex came much, much later than the Golden Age).

I wanted to do the brother she replaced, but Fábrica de Heróis doesn't seem to be working as I type this. Hopefully they'll have it up and running soon.

It's up and running again. If you're wondering, that really is a sheer pink shirt he's wearing. That's the way he really was. It was the forties and nobody thought about those things. Unless they already knew about those things. And had an interest. Like his sister said: "Why does a confirmed-bachelor playboy need a bodyguard?"

Even more (because I'm bored!*)

GAMagiciaThePinkWitch.png

Magicia, the Pink Witch

This is an invented character. Just imagine Samantha from Bewitched during WW II. If there's superheroes running around I don't suppose witches would need to keep such a low profile, would they?

Yes, he does look like the character voiced by Adam West on

Fairly Odd Parents. Coincidence? I think not!

Bozo the Iron Man

I'm not making this one up, people!

Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

This is fun! Thanks everyone for your help.

I never really considered what some of my characters really looked like but now I'm taking some shots. I'm not crazy about some (Star Knight looks way too ornate and like crap) but these are beginings so please enjoy:

Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

I decided to revamp Star Knight by remembering that I sometimes thought of her as having a blue color scheme ala Green Lantern and slimed down the armor slightly, trying to make it look more high tech. The new color scheme along with losing a piece or two of armor I think helps it look far less gaudy.

Also, I revamped her appearance to make her look appear more Asian with both the eyes and the straighter hair.

BTW, I'm trying to post the large pictures like another person did but I can't seem to cut and paste- any advice? Thanks again.

Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Here's a team of quite a reputation. They are not evil, but they are selfish criminals. Nonetheless they have helped our heroes more than once.

The Outlaws

Lorenzo Arbalast: leader, marksman with a magical crossbow

Black Flash: speedster? right!

Fallen Angel: former heroine gone bad

Behemoth: former planet warden of an interstellar empire

Smilodon: just a Sabretooth-rip off
