Clonus
I decided not to derail the campaign thread to voice a beef of mine. The boring thing about the new Red, Blue, Turquoise and Chartreuse Lanterns is the rings. Long before there were Blue Lanterns there were Star Sapphires. Personally I think it would have been a lot more interesting if the proliferation of cosmic warriors had been given more variety in talismanic devices. You could for example have Green: Ring Red: Sword Orange: Breastplate Yellow: Mask Blue: Circlet Indigo: Wristband Violet: Amulet
Hermit
Re: Bored of the (Lantern) Rings You may have a point there. And there's certainly nothing saying your method couldn't be used for a campaign with multiple cosmic organizations.
Hyper-Man
Re: Bored of the (Lantern) Rings The only potential issue would be silly comparisons to the Lucky Charms (green clovers, purple horseshoes, etc..)

DusterBoy
Re: Bored of the (Lantern) Rings Although this thread was meant to come up with an alternative to rings, I would observe that the tradition of magical rings stretches back a very long way, even to early Roman times and so that's probably why the creators of GL chose it. And then there's the symbolic nature of a lantern illuminating the darkness. However, to ad my own suggestion. Perhaps a bracelet - or an amulet, akin to the ones worn by the Vikings?
