kahuna's bro
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition would the intersect[the subliminal procees of info unintentionally downloaded by chuck bartowsky, the tv show CHUCK]be considered cyberpunk? Susano
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Not having seen Chuck, I can't say. However, downloading data into your brain is a cyberpunk trope, and these days, anything relating to the internet often has strong cyberpunk roots. L. Marcus
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition I'd say Chuck is a rather straightforward comedic espionage show.

Steve
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Chuck is a great show. The Intersect's download method into a human mind is subliminal image compression fed through the visual cortex. Judging by the number of people other than Chuck who get brain-burned in the series trying to duplicate the Intersect, it must be a rare ability to handle the visual datafeed without getting your brain turned to mush. mattingly
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition The proof is being printed today, hooray! Once it gets shipped to us and approved, book printing should begin shortly thereafter. Those of you who wish to preorder, there's still a little time. Freefall
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Does this mean the PDF version will be available soon? I know I'll probably be burned at the stake for asking this question here, but are there any plans to release a Mutants and Masterminds version of Kazei 5? There's a bit of interest on the M&M forums in getting Kazei 5 if it is converted. I have some players that threaten to kill me everytime I suggest we switch from M&M to Hero 6 so I can run a Kazei 5 setting.
mattingly
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Indeed there are such plans. The manuscript has already been sent over to our "M&M translator." My early guess is that the final M&M book should be in the 280-300 page range, and be ready for the summer conventions. Of course, we at BlackWyrm encourage buying a copy of each version of the book. And making your entire group do the same. BlackWyrm! Making the world safe for gaming! Susano
Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition BTW -- I did a podcast tonight with Mostly Joe, from "Meanwhile: The Super Gaming Podcast." We talked for about an hour on K5, cyberpunk, anime, and assorted subjects. I'll put out a link when the time comes.

I'll be buying a copy of both I'll just do some rough M&M conversions of my own till the final M&M book comes out as I've already started my anime cyberpunk game.
