CaptnStrawberry
The dice this season will be 2d10 to create more of a curve, but still with a good possible spread. Oh man, I might have reconsidered sitting out if I had known this. Sure one d10 might still be evil, but the other one would be saintly and balance things out. Logan D. Hurricanes
How was REC determined? Ancient Chinese secret. But it is related to the points you accumulated. Orchid spent a monster amount off season for REC, so that's why he seems so high. (REC is an experimental replacement for the unbalanced trivia results. We'll see how it works out this season.) If we have to have a Friday selection in by 8PM EST, not seeing the full calendar until tonight doesn't give much planning time. I know, and I do apologize for the lack of timing on my part. Think of it as an exhibition match; no points spent or lost, so not as much at stake.

Steve
When do you anticipate the calendar going up? Will it be a Google Doc like the rosters? It looks like Enforcer84, Lady Pariah and me are the underdogs this season, based on points and recovery ability.
Logan D. Hurricanes
It'll go up tonight. Probably be a Google doc, yeah, it's easier to share and alter that way. In case anyone missed it, the Arena descriptions are linked in my sig now, too.
FrankL
I always put at least one joke on the tests. It took them a while to get over the paranoia. A professor at seminary (who retired before I took a class from him), had a traditional question 3 that was infamous. I don't remember the question, but option C was: "Your professor has gone bananas."
Logan D. Hurricanes
My dad used to put "Are you chewing gum?" as the last question on his tests as a professor.
Enforcer84
BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall was a student teacher at my high school, he ended a test with, "I am an excellent teacher, T/F"
Haerandir
I'm reasonably certain I passed at least one college course solely due to a professor's extra credit questions involving '60s British rock bands.

bigbywolfe
Monday of week 1 says you get an arena bonus if your character doesn't fly, yet the match is a "powerless peril" no powers match so no one will be flying, right? Steve
For Season 3, can we populate the Dead Pool ourselves? Each team captain could put one name in the list. Could the Dead Pool roster be added to the team lists?
Logan D. Hurricanes
Two tag team matches in the first week? Back to back? I was surprised by that myself, but I decided it could be a fun challenge. Monday of week 1 says you get an arena bonus if your character doesn't fly, yet the match is a "powerless peril" no powers match so no one will be flying, right? D'oh! I didn't even notice that, good catch. Let me think on that.
Logan D. Hurricanes
The Exhibition Matches have been posted! I'm trying something a little different with the formatting with two matches per post. Let me know if you hate it and I'll go back to one match per post. 薔薇語
I prefer them being broken out so that we don't have four team captains promoting their characters on just one post. Foreign Orchid.

death tribble
Now we are back with what you enjoy the best. My participation. the dice are pimed and loaded and have unleashed mayhem. Interestingly both the Part 1 matches came out 4 all and both the part 2 matches came out 6-3. And while I have not picked the winner in the Storm -Super Commando match, my participation may well prove vital to two of the other contests. Is that not a turnip for the books ? Pariah
The dice this season will be 2d10 to create more of a curve, but still with a good possible spread. The former statistics tutor in me wishes to point out that with an END cap of 10 (and starting END amounts making it unlikely that anyone will actually spend that much very often) and the average vote total from last season around 10-12 for each participant, a 2-20 die roll spread may well be the single most important factor in a large number of matches. Steve
Yeah, the potential dice spread will make the dice the decider. Why not go with 3d6 instead? Or 2d6? This is a Hero forum after all. With potentially huge swings of the dice, I'm not feeling much motivation to drum up votes or spend points. This season will be more random and luck will play a far bigger part than strategy or vote getting.
Logan D. Hurricanes
I was pondering 3d6 for just that reason. Let's go that direction. 3d6 it is. Also, I'll be going back to single match posts. This way didn't work nearly as well as I hoped, and worse than I feared.

Ok, I think the easiest way to address both of these concerns is to swap them. It's Tag Team on the Docks, now, and Powerless Peril in Death Valley.
