Remove all the #s from power and list names. They're what's causing the issue.

Let's start with the basics:  under 6E, Growth is not a level-based Power (i.e. it's not purchased as +X for every Y points) -- it has discrete increments defined.  Density Increase, on the other hand, remains a level-based Power.  That is the reason for the difference in how they act relative to automatically adding to Characteristics.

That said, what you're doing is incorrect and not in accordance with the rules of the system.  Density Increase is meant for characters that can change their density.  Characters that are always dense simply purchase the relevant bonuses (and take the relevant Complications).  Similarly, Growth is meant for characters that can change their size -- characters that are just big (always) purchase the relevant bonuses and take the relevant Complications to reflect their size.

If you're talking about an account that you haven't accessed since 2013, then it's gone - the site software was changed in 2013 and only forum accounts were transferrable.

As always, it is highly recommended that you maintain your own backups of any purchased software/downloads (regardless of site).

You chose a username of 3uu8dh39sjhwhw?

If you can't remember your login information and no longer have access to your email account (which was a gmail address "obfuscated" similar to your username), you're not going to be able to access the account again.

Again, maintaining proper backups/copies of your purchases is something that is strongly recommended (regardless of site).

Your username went through several changes before ending up there.

The email address associated with the account begins with 4vv54bg54e5ggey.  If that's not enough to identify the email account that you used, then you may have obfuscated yourself out of an account.

If you can determine the email address that you used based on the above, then use the site's forgot password function to recover your password.  If you cannot (or no longer have access to that email), then the account is lost and your access to it cannot be restored.

Reading is a good start -- that is only the first part of the email address.  You'll need to know the rest of it (I cropped it slightly past the halfway point).

    No.

If you don't know the password for the account and don't know (or have access to) the email for the account, then you will not be able to regain access to it - you blocked yourself when you changed the username and email to gibberish.

The policy is for everyone's protection.

You chose to use either a false or a one-time email address on the site. You also chose to use a gibberish username...and, presumably, a random password that you did not record.  Your choices. You did everything you could to prevent yourself from accessing your account again.

Simon got a reaction from All Fixed, Thank you Sorry in Can't Log Into Old Account
You don't need to provide all the proof in the world that the account is yours.  You need one of the following:

To know your login information (username/password) To know and have access to the email address that you associated with the account

Simon got a reaction from All Fixed, Thank you Sorry in Can't Log Into Old Account
I’ll send an email to the address on record (the current one).  It’ll be from bill.gates@microsoft.com

The from address on an email is meaningless.

You did not keep backups of your purchases, you don’t know your login information, and you either don’t know or no longer have access to your email.  You have lost access to your account.

Regarding mental issues: the goal is to treat everyone equally, NOT to treat people as special or otherwise.

Your story is suspect, to say the least.  Multiple parts do not add up.

You have a gibberish account name with a likely invalid email address (possibly a one-time use email...more or less the same thing). You failed to keep backups of your purchases, but managed to keep backups of all your "receipts".  You forgot what email address you associated with the account or no longer have access to it. You forgot your login information.  You offered on multiple occasions to send an email "from" the address if we gave it to you...apparently trusting that we would not know that anyone can send an email from any address they choose (that's just how email works).

If I had to guess, the account in question was used as a shared distribution point (read: theft) and has been locked.  I will be making recommendations to Jason accordingly.

In this spirit, I'd like to stress that my speculations about Republican and Democrat motives and methods refer only to the national parties, especially Congress. I would like once again to recommend Our Towns, by James and Deborah Fallowes. They found a whole parallel United States of America of municipalities in which it's hard to tell the self-styled conservative Republicans from self-styled liberal Democrats. Or in the case of Burlington, Vermont, the Socialists. They are solving real problems without turning everything into a culture war knife fight in an alley.

I want to live in that USA instead. I don't doubt the rest of the world would prefer it as well.

4th Edition chargen: likely more work than it would ever return.  The system has moved on -- there's an ever-diminishing audience that would want a 4th edition chargen, making the proposition a hard one to justify beyond pure sentimentality.

Non -Java HD: potentially, but MAJOR hurdles in the way.  You have the upfront effort to convert the codebase over to iOS/Android/Windows/MacOS/Linux implementations, plus the ongoing maintenance of what would then be multiple codebases, support for any changes to the system going forward (7th Edition, etc.), and general support across platforms.  Non-trivial.  And with an ever-diminishing audience for PnP RPGs. It would need to be more of a labor of love than even HD was.

While I'm completely open to people using the existing codebase for HD for other projects (including chargens), any products based off of said codebase would need to have an arrangement going in for ongoing royalties or up-front reimbursement - I've put a large amount of work into the code...while I'm not dependent on it, nor do I want to just give it away.

Perfect, the IF_CARRIED container was exactly what I needed. I'd tried incorrect things like EQUIPMENT_IF_CARRIED, IF_EQUIPMENT_CARRED, etc. but hadn't stumbled on the correct form. It works. Thanks!

    Interesting concept...

My take would be that the question is moot because Life Support would not be able to take advantage of the Multi-Slot flexibility -- it's not a level-based ability (like Blast), it's an all-or-nothing ability (like Desolid).  So you'd need to define the Life Support that is in the slot in question when purchasing it (be it Total Life Support or some subset).  From there, it's either on (using all points required for that version of Life Support) or it's off.  Having a variable construct of Life Support (defining what aspects are enabled at any given time) is more of a VPP thing.

Just so we're all on the same page:  HD is meant to help you build a character within the HERO System rules. While you can assign a picture to any given character in HD, the program has nothing to do with the creation of that image.

To assign an image to a character, just click on the button labeled "Click to assign." next to the character image field on the Basic Info. tab.

The export formats are for use in HD...and can be found in the Downloads section of this site.

As far as why HD, it's really dependent on what you're after. HD will help you create fully rules-compliant characters (this is non-trivial...and dedicated pen-and-paper folks often find little rules and exceptions that they were never aware of)...and it generally takes the time and headache out of the character creation process.  It makes it easy to play with character designs, power write-ups, etc.  While it will help guide you through the process of creating rules-compliant characters, it will also let you go outside of that with various "custom" options where you just enter the points and display/writeup that you want. You'll find more information in the store entry for HD.
