You're right, being risk averse and profit-driven is not "the same" as being lazy and un-creative; rather, the latter is (too often) the result of the former. One begets the other, which is a shame. And worse, it's not necessary. For any creator (or publisher or movie executive) who thinks making Superman black is the best (or even just a good) way to make superheroes popular with black audiences, I offer Black Panther, Falcon, Storm, Blade, and Luke Cage as far superior alternatives.

Marvel movies are superior, but I think a better alternative to Superman would be one of the many original DC black superheroes.

Just watched SpaceX launch and (more importantly) successfully land SN15.  I still probably won't make it into space in my lifetime, but my kids might make it in theirs.

I know what you mean.  A lot of the comic content is being based on versions from the years I never read.  When the "hero" part was removed in favor of murderhobo and arrogant lectures I stopped buying.  The first round of MCU movies made me think they were back to heroes, but then they began shifting.  The news about Dr. Strange being dropped from WandaVision for bluntly PC BS really lowers my expectations.  Looks like the strength of just telling a good story is going to be buried under the check box garbage.

 Other than that, it was kind of tame. Some semi entertaining action scenes, but not that memorable.
 
I’ll probably pass on the sequel, it’s just not as cool without Chris Evans. I’ll likely feel the same about whatever they do re: Iron Man. Would rather they move on to new characters, cleaner break. Same problem with Black Panther.
 
 WandaVision was cool, very different. Would’ve been cooler with Dr. Strange in it, but it was a weird, fun time.

Loki might be okay just because Hiddleston is so talented.  As for the rest... meh.  No argument is going to make me care any more because its gut level.  I just am not excited at any level by any of the new stuff coming out.  Maybe its burnout, maybe its just the last few movies were marketed and pushed in a way that didn't exactly appeal to me.

I like Shang Chi okay and the first Dr Strange movie was pretty good but I don't really care if I see another.  I don't relaly consider Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy or Ant Man to be Marvel's A team. More like... the guys who fill in when the B team is busy.

Have you thought of using gaming maps and then modifying them?
The last time I built a "base" I located a map that closely aligned to what I wanted.  Then I modify it as needed.  Once I had it filled out on paper I then pointed it up.
I have run a few horror games in my time and I know I have a few "camp" maps somewhere on my computer.   I ran a Fear Itself game at "The Camp" a few times that was well received. If I can find the map I'll message you.
 
 

Most camp websites have a map as well, look for lodges, camps you can rent ,etc

Pretty much true for a lot of books coming out these days.  They start fun and interesting and then lunge into Uber Whatever and lose what made them interesting.

Hmm... I don't know. A bit of modification on the modern one and they look pretty cool as Viper Agents.

Best part about post-game notes is years later finding them and remembering all the game stuff.  And maybe turning those notes into a published campaign

Code vs Killing almost always is restricted to your own species.  CvK doesn't usually mean can kill NOTHING but it means "cannot kill people".  Superheroes routinely slaughter monstrous aliens without blinking an eye because they're clearly just monsters.

This is the sheet I was referring to, from Champions III.  I rebuilt it, because I found this and the other sheets in that book so useful.
