I take a different perspective on the issue of a pardon. What Donald Trump is being prosecuted for in New York has nothing to do with his activities as President. In his election campaign and his capacity as President, Trump used the rhetoric of hatred and fear to deliberately exacerbate divisions within America. He appointed his cronies to positions of authority, lied to the American people on numerous occasions, subverted the law and the Constitution, and abused his power. He did all this for personal gain and to pave the way for an authoritarian regime.
 
And Trump still nearly succeeded in hoodwinking a majority of Americans into voting him back in. He failed due to his own incompetence and to the timing of a global health crisis. But his approach still netted him great success, which another may be tempted to emulate in future, maybe someone smarter and more capable than Donald Trump. To dissuade the next would-be dictator there needs to be a clear example of severe consequences for trying and failing. And maybe bringing the facts of his actions to light during prosecution might sway at least some of the people under his spell.

Politicians that push incendiary rhetoric targeted at their more unstable constituents deserve to be excoriated.

Stochastic terrorism is a bigger threat going forward than organized terrorism.  Organized terror groups can be tracked, infiltrated and disrupted, but "lone wolves"(inspired by extremist ideologies) are harder to stop and still capable of doing a lot of damage.

In retrospect, I took Don S. Davis' role for granted; his character of George Hammond was the glue that held the base together. Oh...and when he knocks a scene out of the park, you fully believe he is a General.

You're right. Not only did his character keep another character grounded, but the actor kept the cast as a whole grounded.

Oh, and isn't it strange that althought the Deep State Conspiracy can apparently manufacture as many fraudulent ballots as it needs to help Biden, it couldn't or wouldn't do that for all the down-ballot Dems who just lost races?

My most recent dream was somewhat weird, but mostly cool.
 
There was this multi-level (two?) highway adjacent to what at first glance appeared to be a normal stretch of forest (in all actuality, it was quite primeval/untamed); right between the forest proper and the road was what looked to be a bog or some kind of small marsh. The entire area felt desolate, but that didn't stop my comrades and I from heading into the interface between civilization and the wilderness (apparently littered with derelicts) in search of loot. Yes...we were a group out of a fantasy roleplaying game that felt closer to an MMORPG in style than anything else. We'd primarily retrieve salvage and take it back to what I think was an outpost in order to turn over a profit.
 
During a return trip, this small flying dragon ambushed us on the uppermost level of the highway. Recognizing it as a variety that exhales icy air, I hurriedly cast a kind of "warmth spell" on a fellow adventurer that ended up completely absorbing the boreal blast.

Now I see why Trump opposed mail-in voting; he knew it would be bad news for him.

I guess having a comedy routine in here is acceptable if Trump is your target. All other politicians were off limits.
