  3. Re: your pcs might be OVERPOWERED IF... Luther Black gave up on the Kings of Edom and wants to become one of you...
  4. Re: your pcs might be OVERPOWERED IF... Your immortal character was the Galactus of Galactus' old universe.
  5. Re: Super Beauty! Waiting for 6e snark in 3... 2... 1...
  6. Re: Sixth Edition Showcase #3: Area Of Effect And Damage Shield Again, very elegant rules changes. I think that Damage Shield has finally been "solved". And the sample page is schweet!
  7. Re: Justifying Playable SPD "That's the way to do it old school." Yep. There's no school like the old school." - The Incredibles If that's old school, where do I enroll?
  8. Re: your pcs might be OVERPOWERED IF... ... you use the Standard Effect rule for their damage because rolling all those dice broke the table last time... ... and you were using their Casual STR.
  9. Re: your pcs might be OVERPOWERED IF... Their battle cry is "Mechanon 3000, I choose you!" Their base is a treehouse, and Tyrannon is the tree....
  10. Re: Identify the Source No clue.
  11. Re: Identify the Source 60-40 split says you're right.
  12. Re: Justifying Playable SPD To start with, NCM does not exist in a superheroic campaign except as an optional Disadvantage. This is RAW; local campaigns can (and do) vary. Second, in the CU, SPD 2-3 is Skilled, SPD 4-5 is Competent, SPD 6-7 is Legendary, and SPD 8+ is Superhuman. (CU, p. 28) Obviously, a super could have SPD in the Competent range, but a non-super could have SPD in the Legendary range, so there is some overlap. Again, local campaigns can (and do) vary, but this is the official standard for the CU.

  15. Re: Five Innovative But Impractical Handguns Nothing a decently competent gadgeteer couldn't fix.
  16. Re: Does the Champions Universe have a Power Broker type? Ah. I don't have that one yet. No wonder I missed it.
  17. Re: Does the Champions Universe have a Power Broker type? So not so far outside his MO, then. Just not his core business. Interesting. Source? (i.e. "How did I miss this one?")
  18. Re: what gives your pulp its pep? "Probably"?
  19. Re: Millennium City Sports Teams? Fixed it for you.
  20. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition
  21. Re: Does the Champions Universe have a Power Broker type? I think the closest you're going to find in the 5e CU is ARGENT, and until Profit and Purity comes out, we don't know a whole lot about them. Teleios conceivably could, but it's a bit outside his MO. Same with Wayland Talos, who tends to deal in hardware. VIPER has tried, for internal use, with mixed results. Their most successful researcher broke away and founded COIL. The U.S. Government can (Perseus and Cyberline are currently in regular and repeated use), but that's well outside of what you're after.
  22. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition It appears that the mecha rule will cover powered armor/battlesuits as well. Correct?
  23. Re: Whoops! Did I really allow that power? Well, in my case, it was definitely a matter of learning my own limitations first hand, rather than any significant player misbehavior. And there are also plenty of stories by GMs about how they "made the players squirm", with a tone of "that's the GMs job". *shrug* It goes both ways, and everyone is the poorer for it.
  24. Re: Sixth Edition Showcase #2: New Combat Maneuvers; Objects As Weapons Martial maneuvers will probably be similar to what they are in 5eR - maneuvers with "built-in" OCV, DCV and damage modifiers that cost points, as opposed to Standard Maneuvers that every character can use that have lower modifiers, if any.
